any new zealand reggae band is good like herbs, katchafire, house of shem, the black seeds have got raw talent...does anyone agree that us new zealands got raw talented voices?
I found this band last year, thanks to them i got hooked on NZ reggae. They put my hopes up on good music. I also recommend Cultura Profética from my island Puerto Rico... Enjoy!
I didn't grow up in NZ but this song brings me back the memories when I moved to Wellington in 2008. Tomorrow's going to be my 5th year living in NZ. 5 awesome years.

First time I heard this was on an Aeroflot flight Yuznho-Sakhalinsk to Moscow - was immediately homesick. Took me a minute to figure they didn't just sound kiwi, they were kiwi ! Blew my tiny mind ! Fancy that, on a Russian airline. Wicked tunes and still love it all these years later !
soooo nice to hear sucha pure kiwi sound again! giving me full goosebumps cuz!... MattC..representing all things NZ here on the Sunny Coast, Queensland...
This song always reminds me of being 6 years old, heading up the coromandel to go camping with the family in my grandfathers Vauxhall PA; Bob Marley on the radio; and then at the campsite sitting on the roof of the Vauxhall eating paua - didn't get much better than that!
saw/heard these guys for the first time ever at Island Time Reggae Fest on Straddie Island near Byron Bay in Oz, fuckin fantastic. Been jamming em ever since. Texas loves them some Black Seeds
i love the black seeds.! gna go out and get their album tomorrow. new zealand has so many talented bands, its good to c that ppl across the world r getting dwn with the get dwn. we keep it real in N.Z!! big ups
I dig all the comments about how this makes people miss their homes. Same here. I grew up on the South West side of Chicago. Naw. I'm just being silly. New Zealand looks absolutely lovely in this video. Anyone who grew up in such an environment and moved away must miss it for obvious reasons.
around chicago is a place where the native language dictionary retained only 10 words. #aquaponics which promises to save the world from oceanic destruction, is inspired by native american 's technology.
my favourite nz song , whens it june july august you wake up go to work and its dark you come back home and its still dark lmao dont even talk about having to train and run around n the rain sometimes youre thinking , that northern hemisphere give our summer back dangnamit lol but then you just listen to this and for 3:52s its summertime dats how cool this song is

Wow, my parents used to own that camping ground in the video..... my Dad still lives there on the Beach front. So cool to see the place I grew up, the Coromandel is such a wonderful place

@malcolmmcmartin NZ loves Reggae music, We love the Drum and the heavy bass and the message that Reggae music brings. Pai Marire and other old Maori religions were israelites up to 100 years before Rasta, So we can understand Reggae from its spriritual point of view!!
Kiwi summer, so bomb. All the tests and exams are over and you can just coast for the last week or so of school with your mates and go to the river after school till 7. Bomb
this song reminds me of Hastings with my cuz when we are in the plaza and it reminds me of my dad is Hastings when we go for a ride.=) good times in Hastings im going today WOOHOO!
Went up past Thames...all the way to Tapu last month. Had this song in mind, but got dizzy going around all the bends. Back in Perth now but can't get the smell of NZ out of me. Worse thing of all...coming into the arrivals at Auckland International airport and hearing the powhiri or welcoming call by the maori kuia over the intercom...man too much. Only then do I really know I'm home!
Faaarrrk!! this makes me wanna catch the next flight home!!...MattyC representing all things Kiwiana on the Sunshine Coast Aust.. "& i hope that youll see, youll get the best of me...oooo weee"
