The Black Stallion was made in the days before they were able to put an actor's face on a stuntman's body - so here you plainly have a little kid on a horse like that - how in God's name did that little boy handle that amazing creature? Bareback yet. And BTW, this video is amazing as well. FABULOUS job. Made my mother cry.

The racing scene had my heart racing, the scenes on the beach gave me chills the way the music matched it. This, this is the most perfect editing and music choice I've ever seen.

The horse that played The Adventures Of Black Stallion movie was a quarter horse! His name was Docs Keeping time. The horse that played in the black stallion was a Arabian but in the racing scene was a Thoughbred.
This is beautiful! The music goes so well with the clips. And I love the way you put the clips in a perfect order so they would fit the music. Some people get lazy and just put random clips in random places without thinking of the order, which for me ruins it all. (That can be me sometimes... :P) Like an edit like this, if you did something wrong it would ruin the beauty of it all. But you made it perfect! I love this so much =)
Which piece of music from Riverdance is this? I've been searching and searching and haven't found anything yet. Excellent editing and choice of shots, brings me back to my childhood and that tribal beat just invokes a lot of energy in my heart. Go raibh míle maith agat mo chara :)
If you read the books carefully, especially The Black Stallion Returns, Farley makes the Black out to be the culmination of generations of careful breeding resulting in a very large horse that is purposely NOT a purebred Arabian, but something closer to a tall, fast thoroughbred with Arabian hot blood and heart.
When Abu Ja' Kub Ben Ishak referred to years of careful inbreeding I thought that meant inbreeding within various strains of the Arabian breed. He did say "free from admixture" I assumed that being a combination of all those strains resulted in Shetan being a genetic anomaly of size, strength, and speed.
In the young black stallion (the prequel!!!) Farley states that the sire of the black was unknown and that he came from the stallion of the stars or something like that.
