- STORY -
"The Forest of the Black Trees is wider and darker than ever before. Oisin, now full of the chaotic and shapeless power of the Blood Wardens, is ready to face anything that will stop him from reaching the so called 'Rift', the Dreamers' world. But Oisin does not know how to get there, while the Wardens seem to desperately seek a way to reach that place through his body. He can feel them taking control of his movements, however he still has no conscience to determine what's right or wrong.
The forest is vast. So vast and dense that the shadows disappear into a deep black fog. Without light, the dark is limitless.
The Blood Wardens are following a scent, some traces left by something or someone that Oisin cannot see.
As he goes deeper into the forest, he notices a tiny white sparkle in the distance - maybe a way out. He keeps walking towards that light. As it gets closer to him, the blood in his veins seems to become even more chaotic, almost like a strong hunger ready to devour his own fllesh.
The sparkle of light suddenly moves. It's not there anymore.
In the almost complete darkness, Oisin steps on some roots that seem to be quite bigger than the previous ones. His body follows these roots which take him in front of an apparently enormous tree, but he can only rely on his touch to determine the size of it. His hands are slowly moving around the tree trunk, as he suddenly loses balance - there's a cavity in the tree and by the size of it, it looks like the perfect lair for a bear, or perhaps someone carved a space to rest, maybe hide for some time.
A strong gust of wind pushed him slightly away from the entrance. Oisin looks up. The sparkle of light finally above him. It's a mask that is looking straight at him, almost four times bigger than his face.
Behind the mask, dark feathers move like a field of grass at night, forming the shape of a creature that resembles a great bird with humanoid features.
The fight between the Guardian and The Blood Wardens is nothing but a dance. Everytime Oisin tries to land a hit on the creature, she dissolves into black smoke.
Only through the girl's third recording, Oisin can finally open his eyes and acquire his conscience to defeat the Guardian. Only through her words, he will finally understand that there is no enemy but his own fears.
The dark creature whose shape keeps changing is nothing but a mirror of his own fears and nightmares from the past.
There is nothing else to fear but yourself. Her words ring like a bell in his mind once more.
The girl is the key to the Endorphin Rain. Oisin finally acquires conscience - he can see past, present and future.
His voice, like his mind, slowly awakens. His power is now controlled and collected, but the cruel pact with the Blood Wardens is not erased.
A portal of light opens in the tree cavity: as Oisin slowly moves towards it, the Guardian watches over him.
Some people were forcefully taken to the Dreamer's World, others asked for it to escape a terrible reality, waiting for an awakening that would probably never come. However, no one could access the forest unless if guided by the members of the Blood Wardens' order.
This is the forbidden entrance to the Rift.
Oisin is the third being to enter it alone, by his own will."
