He was reading the short chapter from the Quran talking about God’s oneness. Just a few lines but it sums up the entire belief. It defines God as 1, without any partners. That’s the Islamic belief : monotheism. The Arabic of it is so exceptional, just those short lines are so profound and comprehensive that they refute Every false belief about 1 God and establish oneness unequivocally. Tbh it should be checked out just for that reason, it’s amazing in eloquence

The chapter/“Surah” is called “Al-Ikhlas” ( the sincerity )

@@userxyv33-v7i For sure by the end but this was season 1. I guess he had a crush early on. They never really had a relationship though. At least not long if I remember correctly. I always liked him more than Tom. I did think Tom was an interesting character. I felt like I never knew what he would do next.

@@userxyv33-v7i Lulu Zheng is the Asian, the one reddington cares for just as much as dembe. He was willing to come out of the box for her just as much as dembe or Elizabeth. AND she probably wouldn’t have turned on Raymond like dembe does.
