This is the official start (Ep. 1) of the tailwheel conversion, Lycoming engine teardown and rebuild.
I will also be looking to add seaplane doors and wing tips. If you missed the first video of when I purchased and would like to see more.

I have a question and a suggestion. What is the Fly Ohio banner behind you from? Why don’t you number the episodes like Mike Patey is doing on his Scrappy Build? Number it in the episode title. Also give the plane a name like your "Spare Parts" or like Mike's "Scrappy".

The fly Ohio banner is the side of a windsock. I worked at the FBO when I learned to fly. When it was time to change the windsock, I decided I wanted half of it. This was flown when I first soloed 20 years ago! Yes. I thought about adding the episode number in the title. I’ll do that for sure. I’m still thinking of a name! Thanks!

I really love these old "Short Wing" Pipers! Clipper, Pacer, Tri-Pacer and Colt ! From 108 h.p. right up to 160 h.p. Someone even told me there are a few flying with the 180 hp O-360 engine ! Sounds very nice 👌

FYI- I'm upgrading my PA-16 with this exact O-320 160 HP, stay tune! I'll be sharing in the up coming weeks.

It is a very nice restored and flying tripacer. I would seriously consider a pacer conversion after I teach my daughter to fly in it.

@@conradcobb3257 Yes... I believe I will when the fabric is redone! (It’s in pretty good shape) However, I’m planning to just repair fabric where needed for the conversion. But things change, it’s on my radar.

Are you going to do the Trimmer fuel system with the seaplane doors? Sounds like you will be in there anyway!

It turned into a complete restoration project, which was not the original intent. This is why I am purchased the Clipper instead. I end up selling the airframe, keeping the engine which is being built for the clipper.
