Because there’s current drama surrounding Blake. I just think it’s sad, Blake probably doesn’t even remember this. While this lady has remained bitter all this time. It should take more than a few words that aren’t meant with ill intentions to make someone want to quit. As someone who has miscarried, I don’t have bitterness towards other women who don’t have or haven’t had that same struggle. Her clothing is baggy and again Blake didn’t know her past struggles, and maybe she could have left the congratulations out of it and just kept it about the movie. It was simply a comment, not earth shattering. Maybe she’s in the wrong line of work, I hope she is able to be a mother however that be. I also hope that she can find forgiveness and move past something that isn’t her fault.
People are constantly pretending to be what they are not. Altruistic, calm, honest and humble !!!! Moments like this, where the masks fall and we are able to see people as they really are, are rare. So they have to be remembered !!!! Let’s not forget who Blake really is !!!!!
Yesss! Stupidity, ignorance, meanness, disrespect etc. should be left to themselves, that's when they shine the brightest 😂 I hope this lady will interview Keanu Reeves soon, she deserves something completely opposite now ❤
The Interviewer literally called Blake f3t.. don't do that, don't talk about someone's bum specially when they don't show any bum. She could have just said "congratulations for being pregnant". Especially since that’s ALL she wants to talk about for a movie that’s centered around DV. Not DV but all her outfits. What narcissistic behavior. Gross.
On top of that, when I searched for this video, I came across the interviewer’s background…she’s a confounder for a school: “The Academy Of Fashion Arts and Sciences”. I’m not sure if Blake was briefed on the interviewer’s background, but it makes even more sense that she’d bring up the wardrobe!
@@Llamabear84from this i did not necessarily get the impression the other interviewee knew what to do with this. She struck me maybe as an empathetic person who cared about Blake but was trying to fill in the awkwardness. For instance she began talking about the costumes as an extension of what the interviewer was asking. I don't think it was her fault that it turned into Blake talking to her and ignoring the interviewer. She just seemed like she wanted to make it less awkward. However thst look on her face at the end could be taken either direction, for sure.
This is a classic high school bullying method. Acting like you totally click with your bestie right in front of the “third wheel” to make them feel as excluded and ostracized and rejected as possible.
That's such a mindlessly basic take. Likely because that's your own behaviour and how you'd understand it. Superficial and to be honest it lacks any attempt at complex thought. @@TheycallmeMrWonkathe fact that you don’t see an issue with them essentially cutting the interviewer out of the INTERVIEW says more about your social skills than anything else. i think it’s comical that you can call someone else’s opinion mindlessly basic when anyone with a functioning frontal lobe can feel the passive aggressiveness in this video.
@@welp900I hate to say it, but this interviewer should have been more aggressive. As a journalist, you have to steer the conversation and not be steered. She seemed like a true novice with people who are clearly dejected during their press run.

Blake: *Gets offended for being asked about her clothes* Also Blake: *Makes an entire press tour promoting a movie about DV about her clothes and even promoting women to put on their ‘florals’ to go watch*
They even promoted a drink called "it ends with a buzz" and used the opportunity to promote her husband's alcohol business- another tone deaf moment, a movie about domestic v*olence and they promote alcohol with cutesy drink name that is a spin off of the DV book...so wrong on many levels, such opportunists even though they already have a ton of money, power got to their head real quick. Like someone said they use sarcasm and have hidden their meanness well over the years. The author is doubling down in her support for them, as some said, she is also an opportunist, using DV to get rich and not even addressing a serious topic but instead glamorizing it. On their insta pages the comment section is full of people condemning their behavior and supporting Justin, the lead who seems to be the only one taking the topic seriously. To them he seems to be a party pooper and they are trying to ostracize him.
She has always been obsessed with clothes, to then act like she was offended about this topic is 😂 She also completely disrespects the rules of sitting close to the fashion runaway by crossing her legs. She was asked to stop crossing her legs to risk tripping the models walking by, but she did not care and continued to do as she pleased.

I disagree, the interviewer was too laid back. When you see other celebrity interviews you notice that the second the celeb gets self-indulgent, the interviewer interrupts them or interjects with a question. It can actually be irritating to watch as it feels as though the celeb doesn't get to finish their stream of thought. Here Riley goes into some long, precious stream-of-consciousness monologue about characters appearing authentic in the film and the interviewer sits back and just lets her rabbit on. The interviewer felt intimidated by the both of them and didn't take charge. Even the monologue at the end where she essentially says nothing groundbreaking at all the interviewer just lets her ride. In fact without the controversy it would have been a really boring interview. That's 100% on the interviewer.

I think the journalist did something behind the scenes even before she started the rudeness with her "bump" commentary. The women just read her and thought they could do this and they weren't wrong either obviously cause she was left speechless. I mean, who asks someone about their bump instead of their baby? It might be a translation problem (German) but that plus coupled with knowing the English-speaking women have the upper hand led to this seemingly rude ignoring. And honestly, if someone that I already find dubious starts an interview with me asking me about my bumps, in the presence of a friend, I'd start ignoring her too...until she gets a clue that we don't speak like that in English. I wish I knew what the journalist did to irk them...but she won't say cause she's shit.

And Blake very clearly did have a lot to talk about about all the clothes and the effect of all the costuming, so like? It was a good question. The costuming was obviously notable.
Getting offended by a question about clothes is so disrespectful to the costume designers, sewists and stylists who worked so hard to make those clothes. Ironically, she claims to love fashion.

Yes, we should refrain from imposing expectations on others and instead embrace their true selves. The most sensible approach is to distance yourself from individuals whose energy does not resonate with you, and instead, surround yourself with those whose vibes align with your own. This short interview completely changed my view of Blake. I’m a therapist and have so many child & teenage clients struggling with a similar bullying dynamic. Blake is the ring leader, and if you don’t fawn over her & agree with her, you become the outcast. I feel for the interviewer.
But she's not a therapist, but an actress. And a good one. Are you a great singer? Can you cook? A few things to remember: - English is not Kjersti's first language so it's understandable that her phrasing might sound odd, and probably why she paused before saying "bump" because she couldn't remember the word for pregnancy - Blake was 7 months pregnant at this point, had publicly announced it and talked about it several times already, so congratulating her was not uncommon - this interview was promoting "Café Society", a film set in the 1930s, so talking about the costumes were to be expected (Kjersti is also CEO of Academy of Fashion Arts and Sciences so naturally she would mention it) - Kjersti obviously tries to divert attention over to another subject when she notice Blakes reaction, but it seems Blake has decided to continue being rude and excluding her from the conversation, thus Kjersti sees it's best to let's them continue their "answering" without interrupting them

I'm sure Parker was as well; the Interviewer was trained to remain calm, and professional, Parker is trained to be charismatic and fun for the interview. In retrospect she could have said or did something about it, but it's a lot easier to make that judgment years later watching it on replay from a distance. This interviewer is just throwing a fit all because she got butt hurt. It's crazy how just because other comments support this interviewer, everyone copies & goes along with what everyone else says. This is the most immature ridiculous thing. Look at her face how mad she was that Blake made that comment. Blake & her did a wonderful job answering her questions. This interviewer won't get far pouting & frowning & being so immature. Who wants to give her an interview just to be crap talked by her & an entire video made how She wants to quit her job - because an actress asked if men would also get asked about their outfits. 🤦🏽♀️🤡

Don't you just LOVE how Blake claims talking about how discussing women's clothing is sexist, yet she made boob remarks 10 seconds before? Oh isn't she a GEM!!
Blake talking about Parker's tit's and Parker waving her ass and boobs around would've gotten them an immediate trip to HR for sexual harrassment in a normal office work environment.
She basically said everyone in Hollywood is so amazing and caring and are misconceived by the general public, literally while being condescending and passive aggressive. The irony is *chefs kiss*
She forgot to add that Hollywood is only caring if you're a major star or have high up connections in the industry. They can be quite cruel to those who don't fit those criteria.
Blake was literally letting the interviewer know that the questions asked were pathetic and not appropriate, asking a woman about her body?! When will that stop?! Ask questions about a woman work!!! I Love Blake even more now with the backlash towards eomand right for respectable questions. Interviewer was terrible!!!
@@InnovationTree the interviewer didn't just randomly ask about her body, tf?😭 Blake was publicly pregnant at the time, while the interviewer was struggling with infertility. and even if she wasn't struggling with infertility, that not something you just say to someone when you know they're not pregnant. So what you said about commenting on women's bodies really only applies to the interviewer in this situation, period.
How the interviewer was rude as hell she was not congratulating Blake on her pregnancy she was more upset because she’s infertile so she didn’t even call it a pregnancy she called it a bump and for someone who’s life revolves around their body that’s a fucjed up way to go about that fuck this interviewer I don’t even like Blake but she is not in the wrong here
@teletubbiestunetwister9570 Parker is not very attractive. It was a skit between two unattractive aging bores. They were probably offended by a very decent, pretty, classy, intellectual and graceful woman that has style and class. Neither of those two average bores have any of those qualities.
I am a lil disappointed in Parker Posey, she is from Meridian, Ms. My home state. Being from a smaller town near my town you would think she is like her roota a lil more. Kind. She is smart, as well I believe. But I feel like I'm watching her axe our a scene of hers here from Dazed and Confused. The B*tchy chic no one cares about. I just thought she didnt mind playing b*tchy roles, not was one. There are some people in my state that act this way. They usually do not so more with their lives than become the has been cheerleader who became a blimp after having 5-10 kids. Oh well. Sucks for her that she sucks like a gang up with other cheerleader type c word.
Great comment from Blake regarding misconceptions of Hollywood and fame - people think they know celebrities and who they are from media, but rhey don't - and she just showed us her true self in this interview! 👏🏼 👏🏼 God, the fact that she made such a comment on that topic after acting the way she did is truly ironic and amazing. So mean, and dimwitted.
Framing an innocent question “misogynistic” for asking about fashion and now fast forward flaunting your Versace gown and “wear your florals!” IS CRAZY
And fashion does play a role in characterization so it's kinda crazy that she spun it in a misogynistic way. Colours, the way a character is dressed subconsciously reveals a lot about them.
And don't forget she said wearing that dress was her life's dream! Lol. Well, I'm glad her life's dream isn't winning an Oscar because that would be a rude awakening.
Yes ! I noticed that too she was defending herself that she would also ask the men that question but they didn’t pay attention to her and went on with their ( imaginary) theory of being offended!
Listen to Candace Owen’s live video for today. She talks about this. she includes an interview with the peeky binders actor about wardrobe. You might appreciate it.
I felt horrible watching this video. I think the interviewer, Kjersti, did an excellent job just remaining 'in place' and continuing to show respect to those whom she was interviewing ... honestly, I'm sorry any person had to go through something like this, I wouldn't want anyone to be disrespected in this way ... I may be wrong, but it seemed that Blake was trying to prove something and that her behaviour stemmed from something in 'her past', maybe she was disrespected in some way ..... but this is the problem people often make, they drag their past into a current situation that it doesn't belong in ... i.e. Blake may have been disrespected in the past but this interviewer was not disrespecting her .... it's a most unfortunate human thing that many of us do ... at some point in our lives ...
