Scoot, Sharpe, and Simons will only enjoy having a 6'9 PG facilitating open 3pts. Deni doesn't care finishing with 25pt/2ast or 10pt/12ast as long as the team wins really.
The best part to me is that Shaedon played better than what his stats showed, cause his stats only dropped when he played through the injury in December and January
Trailblazer fan from Iowa since the first game I saw Clyde play. Everyone around here are Bulls fans. Which is alright. But Clyde didn't play for the Bulls. Peace and love Rip City. ✌ Subscribed and happy to do so. 0:56 my favorite NBA play of all time.
@@pnwdevv Y’all Tripping Mr Henderson Will Be A Prime Kemba Walker @ Best Whatever That Even Means 😭 😂… Don’t Even Worry About Himbey ! In San Antonio …!But Sure Maybe 2033 !!!Yall Will Make Tha Play-In MAYBE
I think Ant is massively undervalued by the Blazer fanbase. I hope the Blazers keep him. This roster needs shooting and Ant is one of the best young shooters in the league.
So glad I came across this channel and am going to watch more vids. Good content and a welcome host demeanor. I’ve never taken to commenting, but now, two in one day. Peace
They have insane amount of young talent. They remind me a bit of OKC young core, excluded SGA. I wonder if they are going to trade Simons and Grant and start a new direction like OKC.
100%! OKC is obviously insane. But if they trade Ant/ Grant sometime soon, and eventually Ayton IF Clingan pans out, plus whoever they draft next year.... could be fun times in PTown!
@@pnwdevv As a Portland fan im against trading Anf. He just turned 25, elite 3point shooter and unfortunately atm the only shooter. He has to stay as he hasnt reached his full potential and market isnt providing a good return for his talent atm.. he had 2 game winners against Mikal bridges last 2 seasons, but so undervalued around the league at this stage. Grant Thybulle Timelord can be traded asap.. Portland can explore Ayton PF Clingan C lineup this season against teams like Minnesota Lakers Spurs. If its productive maybe Ayton can stay for longer on a much smaller contract of course.
Deni Avdija is best as a point forward. he played PG at high-school. they've changed his role from SF to point forward after the TDL and his numbers went to 20ppg 6apg 8rpg at that part of the season. ending with 15 6 4 the all season. True shooting 60%.
You're right, but Simons is at/ close to his ceiling rn. Great player, but if he potentially will take minutes or slow down the process of Scoot potentially reaching star potential, and a good trade is there for Simons, you gotta consider it
I want to see new Blazers starters like this C. Donovan Clingan 7-2 (20) PF. Robert Williams III 6-9 (26) SF. Deni Avdija 6-9 (23) SG. Shaedon Sharpe 6-5 (21) PG. Scoot Henderson 6-3 (20)
idk if I agree to that extreme. However, I do think it's easy to find young guards who can score. And we know what Anfernee is, so I'd rather trade him when his value is high and pour into Scoot and Shaedon. Cause they have a chance to be a solid defensive duo
@@pnwdevv yeah, I was procrastinating a bit there. But I agree with you about Scoot and Shaeden. I think this year will be a breakout year for both. I think Shaeden has it in him to be as good as Anthony Edwards.
I’m so happy we finally added some size and defense. Seems like those have been our problems for the last decade+. Subscribed and excited about this channel!
As an Oregonian most of my life there is one constant. The moment you start to believe in the blazers they'll do something stupid to ruin everything. 😂
I’ve been eyeballing Johnathan Kuminga for a while now and I would love to have another young athletic two way wing on the team . That’s if we move on from grant i hope
We need to move on from Ant. I’m probably traumatized from the Dame CJ era but if the plans running a 3 guard lineup with Ant, Scoot and Sharpe it’s not gonna go well
Shaedon Sharpe could easily jump from the free throw line front foot and still dunk I bet. If you watch at 1:20 you could see him jump a foot infront but with so much air still.
@@pnwdevv Suggs is all defensive and a 40% 3point shooter don’t forget Jonathon Isaac who is only 26 a top 10 defender in the league and very much part of the core
I agree, but going into this season I think it would be fine if they didn't have much shooting. Gotta let the guys develop and maybe address big needs at the deadline
Ant and Shaedon can shoot very well. And Scoots shot was coming around the second half of last season. I agree we need more consistent shooters but we have a few
@@pnwdevv I would like to see us trade Ant, idk if it’s Chauncey’s defensive scheme or what but he just looks out of place on defense every game. If we do trade him, our focus definitely needs to be getting a spot up shooter in return.
@@thuggwaffle8825 Agreed. Doesn't seem like there's much market for him. But if theres a good trade out there, ya gotta take it. But if not then it probably isn't the end of the world to hold onto him until the deadline or next off season
KEEP Simons! I’ve loved watching him develop. Crazy fun watching his creativity while attacking the rack. Who among us isn’t thrilled once he’s on a 3 ball heater? Is the team so guard rich that they won’t miss all of Ant’s contributions, even in this particular rebuild? I think not. Would not blame him for wanting to move on as he’ll be a very popular star just about anywhere else. Ant man is ready to explode somewhere. Why not here? Ultimately, our team should entertain and he brings that in spades.
In my opinion this is they guys they need to move. 1 Grant 2 time lord 3 thybulle 4 simons 5 ayton They need to develop the youth and lose for flagg or Bailey
Ants 25 and won't be getting much better though. If we want a championship we gotta find a STAR. Ant is good, but not our number 1. By the time we find out number 1, Ant will be to old and won't fit the timeline, so better to trade now when his value is high
We have to get rid of Simons. It will never matter what he does on offense, when on defense he looks like he's standing on a Roomba vacuum, just there for wherever it takes him.
Not our #1? Who takes the final shot to close a quarter or a game? Whose scored 40 points or hit 7 three's in a game? Who constantly makes lay ups off the board, at crazy angles, with a center 2" from blocking it, and it goes in? ANT IS A CLOSER! 😎🤘 No one on the Blazers makes drives to the hoop and actually gets the ball to drop? So many try for lay ups and fail to get it to drop...Not Ant! He gets those same crazy angled lay ups to drop just like his mentor Dame Lillard did! Ant is Lil' Lillard and the Blazers would be so0o fo0olish to trade him! Cronin said in his latest news conference that they are in "player acquisition mode", looking for the "ONE". The superstar every team needs. Ant is still only 25 and has only upside to come. He's soooo good at such a young age they'd be giving away a budding superstar if the Blazers traded him. Totally 💯% Stupid idea! Name a player that can do even half of the things Ant does for the Blazers right now? There is no player! So many of you fools, who really don't know the intricate workings of an NBA team, always saying trade the Blazers best player - By Far! 🤷🤦
@pnwdevv I'm confused??? Your argument is the best young core. Are you talking about best young team or core? Core to me means 2-3 guys, team is a completely different story
@@IceCreamCornDawg Young core, as in the current state of the team, and the best 2-3, maybe 4 best young players with the highest ceilings. imo(totally can disagree) Scoot, Shaedon, Deni, and Clingan are a better core than just Paolo and Franz. Celtics and Kings have like 1 good player, but the "core" of the team is older
While I am also on board with trading Anfernee, I understand that he's the best player(arguable but best guard for sure) on the roster. But if a good trade for him pops up I think the Blazers should consider it for sure
I give Ant one more season to see if he can be a team player and a better defender, same for Ayton but he improve a lot by the end of last season so i have high hopes for him this season specially with Clingan pushing for the starter spot
Not even close. Deni is the only consistently proven talent out of the group. Last years Rook was a complete bust and this years could be as well. Simon's is a shooter, when they go down it's a good thing, does it make the players around him better, it does not. When shots don't fall he does nothing good. Sharpe has no dribbling skills or is quick enough to beat his man off the dribble, can't stay healthy. Seems disinterested most of the time. Your completely out of touch with that headline.
@@NvrBored Brogdons been traded. I don't consider Anfernee as a part of it as much cause he's older. Mostly Scoot, Shae, Deni, and Clingan. OKC has Chet and JDubb but SGA and there other guys (Caruso, Lu Dort, etc) are all older
@@MisterMotions I’m sure he cares more about subscribers. I’m not coming back, that’s for sure. He just wasting his time making these uninformed videos 🤣🤣🤣, he should spend more time actually watching basketball than making content.
Sorry you feel that way bro. Title was obviously an exaggeration lol. Also, fwiw, I don't really consider OKC a young core as they just made it to the 2nd round, and SGA is 25, almost 26.
@@pnwdevv The average age of OKC’s roster is 24.8 years old, for Blazers it’s 24.4 years old. And two can play that game, I can also easily pick “older core guys” on Blazers… Ayton/Anfernee. How does making the playoff all of a sudden make you not a young core? The NBA playoffs isn’t outer space where you can age at a different rate lol, logic check that. It gives them experience not age, and experienced people can still be young ♟️
@@bizzyboomin9277 Spurs have Wemby and thats it. Orlando is just Paolo and Franz, idk if thats a "core" especially since they're competing rn. Rockets lowkey are good and have a great young core but I'm higher on the Blazers
@@pnwdevv if the spurs got wemby and that’s it ..and orl got franz and paolo… then who the blazers got? and don’t say nobody mid u only counting elite young talent..
@@bizzyboomin9277 Who are the blazers two top scorers? Ant Grant Yet, who are the two players all of these inexperienced fans want to trade? Those two! They want to trade the Blazers two best players just as they are starting to have some depth! As Cronin said in his press conference: "We're not good enough yet. We're in player acquisition mode." Meaning, we're not trying to trade our players, we're trying to build our depth and get better! Idiots always wanting to trade the Blazers best players! Why? Have the Blazers got so many great players they don't need their two best? HELL NO! That's one of the Blazers worst characteristics in the last few years! Not enough great players, and not enough depth! And you guys always want to trade away the Blazers depth, right then they just start to get some! So many injuries last year that the Blazers were almost always playing some end of bench guys or some D league player! And you wanna trade our best players so we have no depth and have to play end of bench guys for every game? I say "Learn the 2024 NBA game!" Because you obviously don't know what the hell you're talking about! I've been watching the Blazers since the 1970's. The game changes...evolves... Keep up!
