I know I love to give to the poor struggling Single Mom. Or the broke College kid with no parental support. Or the disabled man. Or helping my Children and my Family. I love doing that.

Amen I wish everyone had heart to give .. and give also to small churches struggling to maintain their doors open.

Giving is a seed.Give and it shall be given back to you.

I'm hurting for money myself

Pastor Jenkins, I greet you in the name of Jesus. I follow you on line, and I thank you for some very good lessons, but today I had to stop your message 14 mins and 50 seconds in because you said something and it hit me in the wrong way, so much so that I had to pray on it. But I was instructed by the Holy Spirit to present my quandary to you.. When Bishop Jakes preached in January, he raised and offering (he stated he was sewing a seed in this ministry) and he asked those who had it to give $1,000.00. Now I watched as all the "Well heeled members gladly (Mainly the people in the front rows ) give ...but that left me feeling very left out because I didn't have it that way. It also left me kind of bitter because it seemed to me based on what was said and done, those who "have it" was entitled better blessings. Now you said that when Pastors ask for a specific amount, and you don't have it , they are not talking to you....but we are in the same congregation. In my heart I feel that since I'm not "Rolling in the dough" like your well heeled members , how can I say this..I can't eat in your restaurant, I'm not good enough..but you will gladly allow me to partake of a lesser meal, but I have to come to the back door to get it..that's the best way I can describe the feeling. I'm going to retreat my prayer closet and pray, I'm really feeling twisted over this. But I just wanted to let you know how I was effected by your sermon, well at lease the first 14 mins of it... tithes are part of the mosaic covenant, which we modern Christians are not part of, except for the ten commandments, which Jesus expressly said we were to obey. you have to watch this man as a possible prosperity gospel teacher

I know a pastor who puts thecollection plate on the back of the church and just point it out and says if you feel like giving give a real pastor should never tell how much to give or even ask his church to give let them make up their mind

If a pastor is telling people how much to give then there's something wrong with him and that particular Church I jump up and I walk away and I step out If ever hear pastor telling his congregation how much to give that just shows me he's not trying to help save souls he's just trying to get himself rich

Furthermore, they are marked in him with a seal, the Holy Spirit (2nd Corinthians <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="82">1:22</a> & Ephesians <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="73">1:13</a>). Sealed with the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption (Ephesians <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="270">4:30</a>). Well, some of today's prosperity preachers will often say that God commanded Christians to tithe, and they will use Malachi <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="188">3:8</a>-10 in the Old Testament times as proof. In Joel <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="148">2:28</a>-32, the Hebrew prophet spoke of the day of Pentecost as the beginning of Christianity. And on the day of Pentecost, Peter and others received the Holy Spirit (cf. Acts <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="121">2:1</a>-4). Then Peter relayed the same message of the Hebrew prophet to the crowd in Acts <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="136">2:16</a>-21. In other words, there were no Christians in the Old Testament times. The people were godly, perhaps, but not Christians. There could be no Christians before Christ died on the cross, so the Israelites in Malachi <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="188">3:8</a>-10 were not Christians. Hence, God did not command Christians to tithe. The Israelites rejected Christ by picking Barabbas and having Christ nailed to the cross, so they needed to repent and believe the gospel. Then they will become Christians.

We will never get the good news of the Gospel, from the Pope, from Christian Priests or TV Evangelists: But from only Immanuel alone, the anointed one and of whom we all know as Jesus: For he is the only Son of man chosen and resurrected to take us also to Paradise on our last day here on Earth… “You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” - (John 8: 32) - “When you pray, go into a room by yourself, and shut the door. Pray to your Father who is there in the secret place; and your Father who sees what is secret will reward you.
