Been a minute since we've seen a straight-up head-to-head struggle map like this one. I love Tom's terraforming tactics. Why bother working around the environment when you can make it work for you?
honestly when I played the level I actually worked around the environment. it's somewhat more of a challenge, but absolutely possible to pull off. can't blame you for terraforming though since it's still a viable tactic.
I have never played any Creeper World game, but, after reading comments like these on all of Tom’s videos (plus actually watching Tom’s videos), I feel like I might actually know a little bit more about the game than Tom seems to, because I thought this exact thing when he placed them down!
Since you had time before the creeper got to your base, the exact correct plan is to be in deficit until the last second. That just means you're using all the energy you're producing and not wasting any
Nope. Being in deficit means that your towers and miners take longer to produce energy. The early game of creeper world has always been about staying barely in the green while building your economy. It isn't until you reach your storage cap for energy that you're wasting it.

nicely done Tom, focussing the bombers on the stashes definitely evened out the creeper waves, I'd've suggested AC bombers a bit earlier but I'm a real sucker for them
it's really funny that, when you look at it, stage one of the farsite expedition (try dying on it) is technically harder than this, as it has no mines, no space, and 1.5x the creep from three normal emitters (50 every 0.5 secs) it's arguably the hardest mission in the game. just does'nt have crimson.

Love the creeper world. Just picked up the game from watching you. Remember you can put Erns on miners, especially early if you have them free to help get that early production Secondly. Holding G keeps the units in the position they are in, so if your turrets are in a circle they will stay in that circle. Line line etc etc. Just a few things I picked up while playing! Loving the vids!
put reactors to bluite, ac bomb / always on sprayer into a front line pit, terraform off one side +shields and concentrated advance on the opposite edge and/or go for rocket
use porters as storage. one porter has 200 storage so you can refill storage while killing creep and then build 2 times more guns at once. also when you have 3 avail erns it is a good idea to ern something. at least a miner. and if you have huge energy surpluss you can convert half mines to bluite and build lots of sprayers in back lines and they fill base with anticreep. and with huge greenar surplus build lots of rockets orbitals are very stronk dont waist them

With at least a single ERN you can just focus on building a tower and one mine to buff with the ERN; this makes a pretty great opener that gives a lot of energy for your… ambitious building plans.
I was just kinda dying with how long he left the ERNs floating while they could have been boosting his energy production and build speed, with all the building he wanted to do, it would have helped him so much. I could pick on other things a bit, but everyone's allowed to play their own way. It's just such a waste to have ERNs floating loose, one of the first things I do on a map is figure out if I have any and what I want them to do, usually doubling my power output is priority and gets done immediately. Even if you slap the ERN portal down but pause building it, you can assign the ERN to it to pull them from across the map. They're great in a lot of the structures, make them work for you as much as possible.
The thing with this game is, as soon as you have a positive balance and managed to take out even a single enemy, you have basically won. Unless you fuck up, you were winning the war of attrition, and tipped the scales in your favour on top of that.

Does anyone know how Tom gets his planes to fly like that? He can select a bunch and assign a starting point and end point for each plane separately without having to do it one at a time.
i wanter if it would be easier to put almost all the mines in AC and dont put them on autospray and have a sheild formation with an ARMY of spayers and some snipers to go through the map

I always love, that i get annoyed, that Tom forgets a part of his army.. (~10m) He advances the turrets, but keeps the bombers dropping on the old front line, basically bombing his own turrets.. Then complains that his front line is getting more dangerous. DUH!

Tom is a limited resource and you can't hog him to yourself joe!!!!! I want some tom too but I wait for a new video instead of begging for him to literally ignore everyone else just to play with me. On top of that do you have any idea how much $$$$ tom gets from the Yogscast to play games with/for them, did you really think you have anything to offer tom??!?
