I am a student from Jahangirnagar University. Recently, police entered the university campus and unleashed brutal violence, firing bullets and tear gas at protesting students. Many of our fellow students were severely injured. Unfortunately, all media coverage has been biased in favor of the government, disseminating false and baseless news while supporting the government's violent actions. Shockingly, more than 160 students were brutally killed, and those who dared to speak out against the government's brutality have been abducted by local terror groups allegedly supported by the authorities. The internet has been completely shut down to hide all the murders and violence beside leaving us unable to communicate or check on the well-being of our friends and fellow students. Hi I am a 20 year old student from Bangladesh. The situation here is dire. Students were peacefully protesting an unjust quota systems imposed on government jobs. During these peaceful protests, our prime minister used her government goons and law enforcement to kill hundreds of students and is now trying to push the blame on the opposition party. When people were exposing the brutality of the police she completely cut off our internet for weeks. Even now internet connection is bad and some social media sites like facebook, X, and instagram are blocked. She imposed a nationwide curfew and while people were completely disconnected from the outside world, police killed innocent civilians. Now, the student demonstrators are being abducted and disappearing in order to stop any further protestations and re-organisation of the students. Right now the official death toll is over 1000 but the local media is only spreading the government propaganda. We need help. We are being killed left and right. We (Bangladeshi) students were peacefully protesting against quota, but the Bangladesh Student League (BSL), an organization of the government, along with Police protection launched attacks on us and are continuously doing so. Nearly three hundred students are already injured and many were killed in the attacks. A student was shot by the police on his chest, and achieved martyrdom. At this point, we need you very much because the journalists of our country are with the government. The ruling party called us Rajakars for seeking our rights! (Rajakar is a taboo term in Bangladesh used to refer to those who collaborated with the enemies during our Liberation war). The media of our country are not covering the whole real issue. Hasina, the dictator in Bangladesh, has deployed the military against unarmed civilians. She ordered all armed forces to 'shoot at sight'. And hudreds(200+) of innocent civilians died, thousands injured, many critically injured. After the bloodbath, now this dictator Hasina is sending her armed forces door to door for people that were presumably involved in the students riot. It's amazing that the world authorities are silent regarding the massacre she has done against her own country people. Even in war, it is not acceptable to shoot unarmed civilians. But here in my country, she deployed miliatary and ordered them to shoot whoever they get. Even little childs are not spared. The student riot and protests actually are the represation of what the country feels about Hasina's dictatorship. The whole country is in rage and rejects her. She knows this and that is why, she is suppressing everyone by using "bullet".....

The police, Rab, and Army are hiding dead bodies and taking away the death registry from hospitals forcefully. Afair, 36 out of 46 mass graves have been discovered in Rayer Bazar. Govt. is also using helicopters to shoot people on the roofs (even in building windows where in multiple instances children have died) and throwing grenades on the rooftops aimlessly. There are plenty of videos,evidences that you can find in twitter and facebook quite easily to witness this sheer madness.

The current situation is very dire. Our internet connection was terminated. Facebook Instagram is still closed. Officially, the number of deaths is shown as 200, but in reality this number is more like 10,000. I don't know the real death toll will ever come out or not. Our dictator government is killing us 🇧🇩
10,000 is a big leap from 200. Is there any basis as to where you got your numbers from? If true, the international community must come together and stop the bloodshed before the number grows any larger
