As much as I enjoy Bane's character, and what he did. You have to give some due to his apprentice as well. Darth Zannah rose from being a Jedi child-soldier to a dark side Sorceress, and a Sith Master as well. From what we got in the second Bane novel, she was tempted at least twice with the idea of abandoning the rule of two, offered the chance of a new army, and even redemption, and a life with her family, and despite that temptation, still kept to Bane's teachings, and made sure that it was passed on to her apprentice. Part of me always wished that we had gotten more of her, what kind of Sith Master was she like with Darth Cognus, and how did her story finally end. Bane might have been the innovator, but it was Zannah that ensured his dream became a reality.
Really this battle was probably one of the most traumatic moment for both the Jedi and Sith Orders as this will shape them for both the better and the worst. For the Jedi they grew distasteful of battles and wars, and pretty much abandon many of their war techniques and strategy which could have been prove useful against future conflicts. Meanwhile for the Sith Order they realized that open conflict against the Jedi Order will only end in failure, and they realized that the Galactic Republic could be the tool they need to destroy the Jedi Order, though this was to be done in secret and with deception.
@@Hello_182Nice, glad you enjoyed it. If you haven't listened to the audiobook version I would highly recommend it. Daniel Davis did an excellent job. I bought and read the book and loved it so much I pirated the audiobook and I've listened to it like 8 times lol
@@darthmonk4237 I was never into audiobooks, but I do enjoy listening to lore videos so it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. I guess a good narrator could really change the experience
I’ve been subbed for some time now. I must say, Damn! I really enjoyed this video. Definitely 👍 longer videos Please! Without getting any copyright issues/strikes, could you add some music? I’ll play these longer videos in my car. Driving home from work or running errands. Any chance of doing a video on “A complete Sith linage/ rule of two. A family tree type of video “. Looking forward to your next vid! Keep up the Awesome work! 👍❤️👍❤️
12:17 bane said I know a technique that yall can use to get rid of the jedi here's the instructions start it up I have to go get some uh materials for the ritual BRB 😂😂😂
This is amazing! Amazing story! This was great. Jedi and Sith were completely destroyed. Both Orders suffered such traumas. I understand why Jedi abandoned battle and war. And why the Sith changed their ways. This is great story. May the Force be with you too. Have a phenomenal day too
It’s a great part of the story we’re Hoth and Valentine accept each others differences and Hoth especially sees Valentine for the true Jedi he is not just a flop in shiny cloths. And tells him as much before he goes to his death. Valentine repays the compliment when he becomes grand master Calling Hoth a shinning Example of what it is to be a Jedi to his former Apprentice , and that he would see to it Hoth would be remembered for his heroic selfless sacrifice.
Kaan stopped the ritual because he got scared of Bane’s power not because he wanted to kill the Jedi by using lightsabers. Just like you said earlier in the video he could sense Bane’s power and he was scared of it.
Tells me Darth Bane ruined the the Sith. Man Kills 2 of. Their top commanders and sith are still winning. Even when they disregarded his desire to keep using force lightning to draw out the Jedi they were going to win til Bane let the Jedi flank the Khan and his forces. Darth Bane single handedly destroyed the sith and set them down the path of true extinction.
The seven battles of Ruusan, the climatic conflict that ended the new Sith wars.pushed both the Sith and the Jedi through the brotherhood of darkness and army of light to breaking points and limits that they would never normally criss. A crucible that would result in both organisation survivors adapting for the better or worse as the case maybe over the last thousand years of the old republic. .
Agreed. This is something that needs to be explored either in live action or animation. It's a HUGE moment in history. I also agree Peter Jackson should direct! 😅👍. 🤘😎🖖🇨🇦
Does anyone think that the chosen one who's going to bring balance was supposed to bring back the dark side and that the balance is to be grey jedi who balance light and dark just like nature does with beauty and horror? Just curious if this was ever explored in books? Thank you
You would think a group that essentially worships power and ambition would be able to go a millennia without ever sticking their heads up. 'Rule of two" might be a good rule, but by their very nature they don't seem to be ones for sticking with the rules.
Darth Bane was a true visionary! Shame it all ended with Vader and his betrayal and meekness at not truly trying to take the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith for himself.
@@spectrebazza1 Revan did eventually did betray the darkside, but it isnt as if he was the first. Even the very first dark lord (Ajunta Pau? Forgive my spelling) regretted his choices and wished to return to the light. The sith are incredibly interesting. So many personalities, so many powers, and their cunning schemes. I do subscribe to the rule of two mentality, but I have often considered how easily it could have ended with a random event such as a starship getting shot down etc.
damn it bane, if not for him we could have had armies of sith running around rather than both sides dying with a whimper. i am never going to understand the popularity of bane and his failed rule of 2.
I understand your frustration on this, kind of. but the books explain his reasoning as he was watching as masters were getting killed by weaker apprentices due to stuff like asking for help to kill the master and he saw it was making them weaker over the generations due to the apprintices never getting to the lv on the master as it was supposed to be. this is a bad explanation on my behalf but it has been yrs since I read the bane books...
@@NoOne-ev7vjYour explanation is petty accurate. Bane hated every aspect of the current sith that went against the ancient ways. Being a sith was a nonstop struggle for power, because only through victory could their bonds be broken. The weak were destined to lose and be used as tools for the strong.
#StupendousWave If you could maybe do a video on the main Jedi Temple on Corusant after the fall of the Empire and was it completely abandoned after Sidious was defeated or was it eventually destroyed
@@cloudmaster182 but what I was asking after the fall of the empire and palpatines death was the temple left abandoned or was it destroyed or just left into ruins
Both orders are 2 sides of the same coin 😊 forever entwined in cosmic dance. The end of the sith and jedi was the beginning to something new continuing the dance through time
In a way the Revenge of the Sith was just as much towards the Jedi as wells towards themselves Darth Bane need to destroy Kaan and Brotherhood of Darkness for turning their backs on the true power of dark side. Though Kaan was right to digree about the Darth title the Sith does not need it to be a Dark Lord for the title is nothing more then a word not the Sith itself. Bane could have started the Rule of Two with letting those who fallow and prequals would still have happen or maybe much sooner and different with far better results.
Though Darth Bane or Darth Vader does sound cooler it is just a word nothing more if I restarted the Rule of Two I would discard it as a verble relic of the past though make sure its point still carried in spirit.
I can never buy the idea that all the Sith were wiped or where there on that planet, there must have been some sith somewhere around the galaxy who prefered to go into exile rather than face the constant and endless turmoil!
@@noahblevins9569 in that moment I don’t think he would as he did agree to help kaan use a force storm, maybe if kaan managed to kill the Jedi he’d confront kaan but I think he legitimately wanted to help out of desperation to stop him from making the rule of two and it was only when kaan deemed the storm barbaric bane gave up trying.
@@Demonoicgamer666 He may have let Kaan live had he bowed down and served Bane. At least let him live for a while. I still think Bane was aware that if he wanted to "fix" the sith he could only do it by wiping them out. I doubt he could have destroyed the brotherhood by himself, without the thought bomb deception. It would have either taken him years, decades, or cost him his own life to do it any other way. Bane was very well written, and is easily one of my top 3 sith lords.
That wos absolutly not the brutals battel betfen jedi and sith by far malgus sacking off curanstant wos the most brutal one secend atack on taiton in bouth you had hunderts off jedi and sith fighting each other
Well.. seems the Jedi learned what it takes sometimes to win a war... an its pretty bad when formerly peaceful creatures... kinda reminds me of the nicer Pokémon.. turn mean an have had enough of Force User BS... wonder when the 2 Orders crossed the line with them an finally made them say screw it these 2 groups need to go already?? Gott admit Bane played BOTH sides geniusly... Sounds like something Sideous would do had he been with the Empire instead of leading it..an then played both the Jedi an Empire against each other. Sorta like what he did during the Clone Wars few Millennium later. Guess thats basically what Bane was the Sideous of his generation.
Why do you include photos of maul, luke, kenobi, vader, etc that have no relevance to the content? You also show comic scenes that are not in sync with the narrative. Like, why do you show young Zannah well before she comes onto the scene? Why do you show Maul and Maul/Kenobi when you're talking about the pre-Ruusan status quo? It would be better if you just hold on certain images longer if they are relevant to the point in the audible narrative. You shouldn't just keep a constant rate of image change. That makes it more confusing in the end.
@@christopherkrumvieda1642 as I said earlier, just hold the stills longer and make them relevant to that point in the narration. Makes a lot more sense. Far more than just a blank screen.
Hit and run tactics from Jedi. Where is the honor in that? That's a coward's move. The way Bane attacks is why he is my second favorite Sith, right behind Vader and before Maul.
