"Why don't you say what's so wrong tonight?" First heard this gorgeous song after a period of depression in which following the deaths of a few friends, I became existentially confused and rather isolated. I met a girl and thought it'd be the end of those feelings but sadly it wasn't - in fact, I wondered why I couldn't love her even though I knew I wanted to. I kept with her as I knew she was special and offered a light in a world I couldn't exactly find myself within. One night when we were together, I came to the realisation that all that mattered to me was to ensure that she was loved, the night I heard this song. I cried it was such a freeing feeling. It was then I figured out what love was and that existential confusion was eased.

A Walk Across The Rooftops and Hats - I doubt many bands have many debut and second albums as perfect as The Blue Nile. This track, and From A Late Night Train - we’ve all been there. Love lost or floundering and you both know it and there’s nothing you can do to change that. It’s over and you’re in that space between wanting it but knowing it’s not ever going to be the same and it’s time to let it die. Truly evocative music that every bit of me just soaks up. Gloriously soulful yet melancholic. There are no words... We are blessed to have these works.

This one is the original one and talk to everyone who is watching outside by the window ; life is out there but it's not yet for you🖤 The C.A. one is more adapted to the 2000' people who used to go out at night and still be lonely when it's time to go home...
