I love both versions, but Nina Persson's voice has such vulnerability... Such a beautiful haunting song for a world still haunted by your death, Brandon Teena. Hopefully some have learned or will learn from your death, will learn tolerance, will see that it *can* be learned, that it's never too late. I've lost people to the hatred; intolerance was the culprit, always. I just ask anyone who may read this to please, stop and think before you haul off and hurt someone with malicious words or actions. There's room enough for everyone in this world. And there's always room to walk away, walk away before you do something that can't be undone.

I agree. However, when you hang out at places like bars and meet people, you are pretty much putting yourself in the crosshairs for anybody to have you if you are wanting to live a life like that. It's a pretty much grey area in this kind of situation when you think about it. Now, I will say there was some alleged incidents where Teena was accused of being with underaged girls when she was a legal adult, and if that is true, then I wonder if she knew these girls were underaged...

I admit I liked the movie Boys Don't Cry and thought it did a good job of laying out the general story about Brandon Teena. However, a movie can't replay any true story fact for fact. There are facts that I'm sure we don't and will never know about what happened with Brandon Teena. I will also say that any man who rapes a girl deserves to have their manhood taken away from them. Plain and simple there.
