you worded the charm of this scene perfectly-- the choreography is structured but it also just looks like they're all groovin together casually. kinda reminds me of step in time from mary poppins

I like the touch of their dancing being ever so slightly out of sync with each other.

It's beautiful. It's like the the carnies have a dance they were rehearsing for something, but they don't quite have it yet and are out of sync. Some people just choose to freestyle when they fall out of sync too.

Yeah the choreography is just amazing. Something about all the carnies being slightly off step from one another, and all frowning is just perfect. Easily my favorite number in the whole movie.

Disagreeing about their employer potentially being a murderer out to get them and saying it’s not that bad because... well, she was called a baby. 😂 The writers are incredible, the humor is always so simple yet effective. Love this show + the movie so much.

I like Sunny Side more because it introduces the film and therefore you're noticing all the improvements in the animation, the vibrancy and the extra details and attention paid to background art. Also it's a better song IMO, that melody was rattling around my head nonstop for two or three days, and more even than that it has a wistful edge to it that made me almost well up - because it's at the start of the movie, and it has to introduce the characters for people who've never watched BB before, you get to see the characters' deepest desires and personal quirks. Also two personal favourite things from Sunny Side are Tina's 'eh-eh-eh' shoulder dance, which always makes me laugh, and Tina's voice when she sings the line 'be my summer boyfriend', which almost makes me cry. I think the whole song might be one of my favourite musical sequences in any film, ever. It sums up the tone of the show and the characters themselves so perfectly and it makes my heart feel like it's going to burst from the sheer happy-sadness of the melody and the joyous characters. And Tina in particular....Tina is caught so perfectly on the very edge of adulthood, you can feel how huge her feelings are, and it takes me back to that same age, when I felt the same, every emotion I had was so fierce and intense and how everything seemed so mysterious and overwhelming and the world seemed full of possibilities that I'd never fully be able to understand. And I suppose that there's something both happy and sad about that for Tina, because she will be caught on that edge forever, she'll never age, but she'll never get to have a real relationship, her whole life in the show will be pure potential, constantly running on the spot as a 13 yr old girl with the whole world ahead of her but always out of reach. For some reason I felt that quite strongly while watching the Sunny Side sequence. You could argue that I'm thinking about this too much, but I love this show so much I can't help it.

The animation was done overseas. They did great.

Honestly Mr. Fishoder isn't even a true villain, which I find sweet. He employed all these hardened criminals - even if they complain - and gave them a place they could stay for free even if the dog factory is abandoned it is still his property. He keeps giving Bob passes despite not paying his rent on time like - ever. It is also pretty sweet to note that despite his brothers antics, the 'condo' idea he had would have actually been very profitable but unaffordable to the average man (including people like bob) which is why I believe Fishoder tossed that idea out. The 'mega' carnival his cousin had too would be a huge tourist boom and very profitable but it would mean bulldozering and evicting most of his tenants again something he ignored. Sure he raised the rent that one time but honestly it just seemed like a scheme to get people to play water balloons in his manor. He also freaked out when a prank went south (or so he thought) and he was terrified that Bob would die or injure himself. And, also, his brother.. who is a full blown lunatic he still cares about. I assume thats why their dad left the money to Fishoder because he knew he'd take care of his little brother long after they died. Hell, he gave them a place to stay - invited him to gatherings - still plays with him - and was willing to flee the country with his younger brother. God I love Bobs burgers. When even the villians are just nice people.

its nice how he is the villain most times because of class but you can see that by personality he isnt really evil being rich just makes you do evil stuff

@@santiagogallego8695 He is just very careless with his wealth and his position as landlord, employer ect. . so he often harms people out of pure ignorance about how he's affecting them. But it also means he can easily be convinced to not care about your rent for a month for example. Although I don't know if the first comment here is actually right about Louíses relationship to him. I think her main motivation for not wanting him to be the murderer is just to help her family.

@@denisthegamer03 Animated feature films are pretty much always a massive money-pit on the front end, but selling tickets wasn't what they're made for. It's made to keep the franchise relevant and the merchandising and advertising revenue flowing for another decade.

@@briannemeth9417 Actually no, we never had a live action reference. The person that did our animatic had fully animated the sequence for us, so we referenced from that, the real challenge was adjusting to different character body (our ref was just basically a fleshed out stickman).

@@TOjJeto I’d just like to say you did a great job and so did everyone else who worked on the movie, that’s some of the best animation I’ve seen in awhile and I’m glad animated movies are on the rise and hope in the future more ppl can separate the art from the artist.
