I wasn't sure if they were in Indiana or Ohio..

They sound like they are stepping in something whenever they admit they are in Indiana.

Probably has to do with the fact this was not a syndicated broadcast, it was just local on Q95. When it is being broadcast nationally and Internationally during their normal run I imagine they avoid talking about things local since it won't make much sense to people out in California, or in Australia, it won't make much sense to them. The point is to try to keep the listeners interested. Hard to do if you're talking about local things that have no interest to them. That is also why you hear the local weather when you normally don't during the normal broadcast.

Doubt he was suspended, and I found his comment hilarious. Even though I am a fan of marinating while grilling. This show was done on a Sunday, he probably had other things to do. Also being from Missouri, he may not find the Indy 500 as interesting as the rest of the crew.
