I like how Fiend Folio's enemies interact with themselves, makes it feel like Isaac really is against coordinated enemies and not a jumble of random horrors that somehow ended together in the same room

The theme seems to be a combination of botched surgery and parasites. Cacophobia is also a boss that is unique to this area, I wonder if they were the one who was responsible for stapling skin to all of the walls.

Between repentance, fiend folio reheated and revelations there is more than enough good Isaac content to last a really long time

I love the concept of the enemies like Starving who rip chunks off the already damaged floors and walls of the womb

I just want to say thank you for this series! I haven’t gotten around to playing Fiend Folio myself, but I’m obsessed with these videos!

One of the coolest floors. Sadly there aren’t that many new enemies on it like the others have. But honestly these womb floors are my favorites so far.

As if vanilla Scarred Womb wasn't bad enough, FF decides to add more "surgery gone wrong" fellas into the mix, as well as some designed after skin conditions or diseases with skin relate symptoms. To me, Scarred Womb differs from the Corpse in that it's themed around damage/wounds, while Corpse is after the damage (long term). That said, my personal favorite is the contestant with it's screw tossing attack. Something tells me those screws can delete something from reality too

As somebody who loves designing body horror-themed monsters, I am incredibly jealous and impressed by these freaks! I love the Contestant especially. Cacophobia appears here too, which is just icing on the flesh cake.

Something I really appreciate about Fiend Folio is that in addition to completely new enemies, it also expands on the existing enemies and enemy mechanics as well, even adding new variants and evolutions for some of them

This isn’t your normal everyday body horror, this is, ADVANCED BODY HORROR!

I quite like Fiend Folio's new enemy additions, it makes the floors of the Basement seemingly like actual breathing worlds and these new enemies arose after some time has passed and the creatures adapted to their home.

Fiend Folio fells like a new game ngl

i think curdle appears in a utero room titled something like "quick take off the skin we gotta look like a utero enemy! oh crap he's already here"

This really highlights the special blend of silly and disturbing that is unique to the Isaac series.

I've played enough FF to know all the enemies, but I absolutely love seeing them in this format. I genuinely cannot believe this is a mod and not full on DLC.

I really like how they made the monsters fit the theming of the alt floor here. I couldn't really tell the difference between the scarred and normal variants of "the womb" when they first released afterbirth but this is quite an amount of polish and body horror.

Ah yes, this floor. This plus me recently reading Frankenstein has given me the strangest fondness for stitching skin together and making characters that are artificial but make of organic parts. Skin stapled onto the meat inside, strings fastening the connection to joints, and the love and passion of creation turned into a monster so grotesque only it’s maniac of a creator would love. I love this theme so much and I hope I can hone that style throughout my career. It’s a super unique style I’ve never seen before, and needs some more attention in my eyes.

Ah yes, the last one of the the stage 4 floors, continuing the trend of body horror in both floor design and enemy design. Funnily enough however, while the modded version of the Uterus is a clear improvement over the Womb one in terms of horror and design (at least in my opinion), it is much more debatable if the Scarred Womb or the Uterus one is better. I personally prefer the Scarred Womb over the Uterus even if the background design is not necessarily that unique, but I can see arguments for both floors. At the end of the day, I give the Scarred Womb a perfect score just for the Bertran reference and for giving home to cacophobia, possibly the best boss in the whole mod. This also means I will begrudgingly change my vote of the Uterus down to a 9/10, even though I tried not to change my score on any floor later on after the first rating. Scarred Womb Rating: 10/10 Personal favourite Enemy: Starving. I wish there was a unique interaction if the only enemies left in the room are Starvings, but it's still a really solid design all around.

It would make sense that dogmeat will get an interaction with starving since it spawns nerve clusters

Does the Flailer actually have some kind of interaction with Bertran or was that just for fun? It seemed like it might've been mimicking him but I'm pretty sure it was the opposite if anything

The music for scarred womb gives me immense yume nikki vibes i really like it. Atmospheric horror that felt sorely missing

Enemy idea: flesh stone It can't be killed but does when every enemy in the room are dead but if there is a flesh stone in one room with no enemies it doesn't die Mechanic: It stay in one place shooting a line of tears at you (it also has a chance to shoot a brimstone at where it's facing) If you explode it with o bomb then you turn it into a cavity Cavity: It flouts really slowly and leaves a trail of red creep It shoots a cluster of teeth in your direction (the teeth deal one full heart) It also shoots a flesh tear every 3-5 seconds The flesh tears go in your direction while leaving a trail of red creep and blood tears. The enemy has 50hp

Can’t wait for the corpse enemies showcase. Still don’t understand a few of them like the beluga whale

fiend folio feels like a brand new isaac dlc instead of a mod

head honchos kinda remind me of fighter pilots, i know it's supposed to be gruesome and typical Isaac gore but the maggots are kinda cute flying around in the head

in case no one knows, the enemy named myiasis is named after the disease of the same name. myiasis is a parasitic infection of maggots. there are many forms of myiasis, bot flies which have small groups, screw worms which cause nasty craters with hundreds of larvae, or the worst, nasal myiasis, which is exactly what you think it is.

Last in the list is gonna be the Ascent

Fiend Foliowise, the Mouthful is kinda bad. It has a unique concept, but it's too easy. I recommend that it shoots out 4 of the little guys instead of just one.
