This is the first time that a high level panel of military and diplomatic veterans are on a crucial geopolitical and strategic subject , on their own . This is a healthy level of independent domain expertise expressing its opnion freely and objectively. These Generals will not talk the same, like India cannot do anything about it, Even if Hindus are being killed etc. If 50 of our Army men were attacked and brutally killed by Bangla armed forces or rioters. Then they would declare all out war because it’s their men and pride. Now because it is Hindus they don’t care.

Most important is which side the military leans. If it leans decisively against India by for example, allowing atrocities against Hindus and agreeing to give up St. Martin Island, India will have to act very quickly and decisively to occupy parts of Bangladesh that we should have in 1971 to permanently strengthen security of the Northeast. These areas are Rangpur in the north to widen the chicken's neck and lower Chittagong in the south, including St. Martin Island, to provide the Northeast with access to the Bay of Bengal. We cannot hope to develop without a relatively friendly, neutral or neutered Bangladesh.

As the retired ambassador said, Investments are for Bangladesh and not for a political party..... highly questionable, because the beneficiaries of all such projects are Bangladeshis who are 100 % anti-India. What benifit are we going to derive out of such Investments? Bangladeshi *zia-ul- Haq* has been successfully radicalised the complete nation (de-facto). The Investments that our country make are out of Taxpayers' money. And who are the taxpayers in this country? Its primarily Hindus. And with our own money we are encouraging our enemies only. I don't think, nothing can be more stupid than that. Yes, we have completely delinked Pak from India. Has it cost anything to our economy? No, not at all. Instead it's otherwise. Sir, experts of your stature must realise *भय विन ना होए प्रीत* I suggest for such investments at border areas to seal the same from external influx would be much more effective and our own people would be beneficiaries of such investment and considerably reduce the insurgency. We need much much more investment for our defence at least for sealing it against any unwanted immigration. And ... much more. I would suggest a complete reorganisation of border states, with at least a patch of 100 Km from actual LOC being declared as Union Territory directly under Ministry of Defence and constant monitoring by PMO. Constitution don't disallow such reorganisation, if there is a political will.

With this track record, sanatani hindus will be forced to take weapons in hand to fight back and have ethnic clashes or get wiped out and displaced to Indian Ocean. No police, judge and law maker is doing anything about jihaad being waged upon sanatani hindus. Thank you for enlightening us. But ever since 1947, it has been we have to live with either Pakistan, or China or now the 20 crore Bangladeshis. People of India did not ask for a separate country based on religion. Those who asked for a separate country killed 1000s of Hindus on a single day. Called it Direct Action Day and went to a live as a separate country. But later anywhere upto 5 crores have infiltrated in the next 30 years, demographically invaded India and shamelessly telling they are Indian citizens. After all their country is one language and one religion only. Can't they take care of themselves? Why does the Bengali Muslim act psycho, while the Bengali Hindu doesn't. Somewhere the entire civilised world start calling a spade a spade. Should we endlessly be submissive to our neighbours with gun pointed to our head, as otherwise they will wreck peace in the neighbourhood. Like the 197 million or 20 crore example the General mentioned. Somewhere down the line we have to rethink our policy and act out our strength. If the neighbours are good to us, we will be doubly good to them. If they are not, we will also pay them back in the same coin. We can't be continuoufly blackmailed whether it is 20 crore B'desh or 150 crore China.
As a Pakistani I have neve seen Indian generals so scared of possible Pakistan influence in Bangladesh. If India stops its interference along Pakistan western border to fail Gwadar I think Pakistan will be rational in creating any undue trouble for India .
Can India invest in the students leaders and bureaucrats who appears to be apparently more secular. This may not yield results immediately but will help India in the long term.

All these led students protests supported by islamist radicals, this flared up quickly, destroying even Banga Bandhu Mujibur Rehman Statue!!!!!?!!! And looting of Hasina PM residence destroying her portraits, etc All resulted in her resigning and rushing to India, Hindon airport, for asylum temporarily, before going to London, to join her son !!!!!!!!? Her political life is now over !!!!!!!!!!!! For India, pm modi, EAM , new problem arises!!!!!!!
On a larger view of current scenario around our border is worrisome, I will look at from religious angel , Sound creepy but truthful Pakistan , Bangladesh and Indian muslims Mostly radicalized ( as experts says 1 or 2% of 900 muslims in Indian subcontinent , which is not truth , let us put this way 1or2% is moderate population) Only reason they separated from India because they want to rule , Now after 75 yrs they have realized that wealth creation is not one of their expertise and for that they need another community. But numberwise they are not equal as they divided in three groups, so on horizon they want to getogether to defeat India's rise and get to rule them , in that they get help from West , China and many deflation indian political circle. AS Gen. BIPIN RAWAT mention half front , that inflated to 1.5 front now.
Indian army is the most incompetent and selfish army whose only mission is to make money by secure Govt.Job. They have lost Indian territory to all our neighbours including Bangladesh and they hide behind the politicians, not taking any responsibility for the country nor taking any blame for the losses suffered by India. In settling the border issue with Bangladesh, we lost more land to even Bangladesh. Besides we have millions of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in our country through our porous border but the army takes no responsibility for it. It cannot stop incursions from China nor infiltrators from Pakistan. It has not regained one inch of the territory we have lost to Pak or China. It's only interest was OROP which they got at huge expense to the country. In our neighbourhood the armies intervene immediately if they feel the politicians are working against the interest of their country and so far they have safeguarded the territoy of Pak and Bangladesh from any foreign encroachment while we have lost territory to all out neighbours and our army is sitting peacefully.
