The head of Freeform said in an interview that when they rebranded fr ABC Family to Freeform, The Bold Type perfectly embodied their new identity. Loved that this ep tackled Kat's "blackness" since last year Kat seemed so unaware of it. The writers admitted that they dropped the ball in season 1 (especially 1x04). So I appreciated that they gave us a back-story to Kat's biracial identity. #TheBoldType is just a feel good show that you know will address the relevant issues in society. Love it. And #Kadena being domestic is everything :)
ABC Family used to be my favorite channel. It was a bit hard for me to accept they changed the name to Freeform in the beginning. Now I understand why that did that and they know the market is changing and fit in with this new wave of new generation's world.
The only issue I had is that biracial is identity. I am biracial and the acceptance of being mixed is just as important as embracing a side of us. I refuse to be pressured to pick!
It's great to have you back doing reactions. I'm loving the new season of TBT so far. I recommend that you watch Killing Eve. If you don't have time to react to the show, you should at least do yourself a favor and watch it for yourself. You'll love it!
I really do hope Jane goes back to Scarlet. At least they respected and valued her, unlike In Site. I think the highlight scene for me was Jacqueline giving Sutton a pep talk, reminding her how talented she is. Everyone deserves to have someone like that in their corner. And Sutton calling out Mitzi was epic, I was here for it. Chloe rubbed me the wrong way as soon as she opened her mouth. I have a bad feeling she’s going to weasel her way into Jacqueline’s position, and I don’t like it.
Yeah after the first 2 episodes, season 2 is already feeling better than the first season. And I don't remember the makeup of the S1 writers but it feels like with this new showrunner, and knowing for a fact they added at least one black woman to the crew, that obviously they'd FINALLY bring up her being biracial. Episode 4 of the first season was GLARINGLY ignorant w/ the police, and I have a feeling if we had the old showrunner we wouldn't have gotten this episode.

We have your back with the solo reactions, your doing great. I was saddened by your story about the school system where you grew up trying to suppress your heritage. As a Brit raised by West Indian parents I was fortunate to have been exposed to that culture. I can drop some mean patois!
I feel bad for Jane but i think she should return to Scarlet even if she start from the bottom again since her best friend is there and Jacqueline who is an amazing mentor for everyone.
Jacqueline was drinking that ☕☕ so she didn't throw on Cleo's face 😂😂😂 Cleo will be a pain in ass for sure, I just hope Jacqueline will continue to be that awesome instead of back down. Jacqueline and Sulton makes me gayer every episode. I said the same thing to my friend, she accepted, I'm really hoping it goes better in the near future for her. You know, this is one of the problems with U.S, I'm mix-color person but I never had to choose, where I live I am just another person you know, some think that I'm from this part of Africa where the inhabitants usually look mixed but the rest? They don't give a damn about it, our parents "forced" us to learn English but we always spoke in our native tongue and that was all, I'm clad for it.
