I've been wanting to do a series like for this a few years now, and here we are, finally taking the first step. Thanks for bearing with me as I re-adjust to longer form content and a new editing software!
Other topics I'll be covering in this series are about First Nations people of North America and LGBTQ+. Have other topics you'd like covered? Let me know in the comments!

I liked the video idea and content! Fortunately I knew most of the words since I am studying for N1 right now. Valuable information nonetheless, thank you

I think an important part of learning is finding the right resources, and even though it seems you made this channel recently, I feel right at home. I've gotten to the point in my Japanese language learning journey where I need to learn more words and improve pronunciation and listening, so I decided to learn pitch accent as well: kill two birds with one stone. I randomly stumbled upon this beautiful channel and will use it as a valuable resource in my journey. Thank you for the presentation and informativeness that you bring. I can't wait for more!

Thank you so much for this lovely comment! I really appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad you feel right at home. It is a relatively new channel and I have lots to learn still about video editing and more, but I hope to keep delivering informative and socially conscious content.

I thought 唯一 was pronounced "yui itsu" this entire time. XD I also pronounced 77年 as "shichijuu shichinen" instead of "nanajuu nananen"! It's so easy to mispronounce these when you read too much. This was an enjoyable video. ^_^

Thanks for your comment! The "yuiitsu" being prononced as "yuuitsu" is actually a fairly common phenomenon in Japanese pronunciation - I'll see if I can make a video on it in the near future to explain it and give some more examples! As for 77年 - "shichijuu shichi nen" is not wrong. I know the number 7 can be a little confusing sometimes since both "nana" and "shichi" are correct - though it can depend on the situation. I personally use "nana" more often, in part because it's less likely to get 7 and 1 confused by listeners. I have a Reel on IG that explains this in a little more detail, but it'll be out on RU-vid soon too!
