After reviewing each of the BON JOVI studio albums and Jon's two solo albums, I count them down, from #17 to #1, while also giving my own ranking according to which albums I just prefer off the top of my head. And a few other little BON JOVI tidbits.

Hey, thanks for all your Bon Jovi album reviews! I started working on a RU-vid playlist recently, but soon realized I wasn't very familiar with their albums after the 90s. I guess I figured they had declined, just like a lot of other 80s bands, so I didn't bother following their music. Your reviews helped me decide which songs to give a good listen to. I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality of their music had actually gotten better through the years. I have a new-found appreciation for Jon's song-writing skills. Just wow. My list now has a LOT of post 90s songs! Though I like most all of their albums, I think my new favorite is Crush. It has the most songs I dig on it! "Just Older" is a GREAT song! My playlist, called Bon Jovi Faves, has 57 songs, from oldest to newest. P.S. Will you be doing a review of Forever sometime soon?

This is a trip. WOW I'm not gonna espouse hatred or vitriole. I actually love seeing rankings that are wildly different than mine. But wow man, this is absolutely wild. I can't believe how low you've ranked some of these. I definitely need to revisit some of these.

Make sure to check these off if you haven't added these to your list for the Bonus/B-side/demo/outtake/unreleased stuff. Luv Can Shine Walls When We Were Us Color Me In Touch of Grey We Don't Run on THINFS (compare it to the original) I Will Drive You Home Real Love All Hail The King Ain't Done Yet Take Back The Night Burn With Me Ain't Running Anymore With These Two Hands Into The Echo Lonely (Lost Highway outtake/bonus) Put The Boy Back In Cowboy Walk Like A Man Dirty Little Secret Unbreakable Alt versions of Have A Nice Day-Bounce singles These Open Arms (HAND outtake) Nothing Alive (Bounce) Standing Another Reason To Believe No Regrets Lucky We Can Dance Breathe You Can't Lose At Love Neurotica Stay Hush Living Out of Loving You Ain't No Cure For Love New Jersey Deluxe double album snippets from Butterfly Hurricane and Mona Lisa (Bounce outtake) Borderline And yeah, there's a lot more, but I'm getting tired of typing and those are some of the main ones that came to mind for me. 😂

Woohoo! The number one was a bit of a surprise for me. But I get why. I'll give you mine. Keep in mind sometimes change depending on how I'm feeling in a particular season of life. There's so many factors. Replay value, lyrical content/overal theme, number of 5 stars, production, music videos/album covers, etc. I'll do my best. And I'm gonna leave off the solo records. So here's my "current" 15 album ranking. If it changes month to month or year to year, just know most changes are subtle. 15) Fahrenheit (This is always in last for me. There's some real good ones like Hardest Part Is The Night and Only Lonely. And I enjoy several others as well. But it has the most songs that I rarely care to ever listen to.) 14) Bon Jovi, the debut (Runaway is fantastic. Shot through the Heart is one of my favorites from the 80s catalog. And there's a lot of nice sounding stuff for a first album. But I gravitate more towards the modern stuff with more mature content/lyrics and messages than the fun stuff) 13) What About Now (I really like this album, but it is the lowest of the post 2000s records for me. My favorites are Amen, I'm With You. But I really like most of the songs. Some are a bit boring though. Great lyrics overal, but the overal sounds sounds like a Disney Soundtrack or something.) 12) The Circle (Bullet and Thorn in My Side are awesome. Happy Now, and Work For the Working Man are pretty solid too. This album can switch with WAN at times I suppose. I just really love Bullet!) 11) Slippery When Wet (Probably the biggest shocker. I think it's just something that "some" huge Jovi Junkies get burned out on with the 3 huge hits. But very good stuff. I'm not super big on the opening or closing track. They sound good, just not what I listen to a lot of. I hardly ever listen to Social Disease or Raise Your Hands. 😮 Basically maybe once every 3-4 years. I do like I'd Die For You and Without Love ) 10) This House Is Not For Sale (One of my favorite album covers actually. The title track is one of the best lead singles in the last 15 years. Born Again Tomorrow and Rollercoaster are on equal quality to me. And Knockout/Devil's In The Temple are pretty cool. Great comeback album. It does have some cheesey filller type stuff though.) 9) 2020 (This one is a hair above THINFS. Some incredible song writing, but failed to give me enough songs with high replay ability. Beautiful Drug and Blood In The Water are the 2 best. But I really love Limitless and Do What You Can is pretty good too. Blood in The Water is a modern contemporary Dry County 2.0. This one can switch around with several of the ones above it, but lately it's been here. It's also the most recent too though) 8) Burning Bridges (I love Who Would You Die For, Fingerprints, We Don't Run, SNGMSM, Teardrop, and majority of the others. I enjoyed some of the more darker vibes and errie production sounds. Jon sounded great on most of these too. This album gives me hope that the next box set will be great, if we still get it....) 7) Lost Highway (Any Other Day and Make A Memory are hands down the best tracks. We Got it Going On sounds great instrumentally..TALK BOX ROCKS. Jon really had worked on improving his vocal technique/control on the LH album. The rest are all pretty much great songs with nice clean guitar playing from Richie.) 6) New Jersey (This is always tricky snd I fluctuate a lot with this one and KTF. Born To Be My Baby, Wild is the Wind, and I'll Be There For You are all classic hits to me. Then There's Lay Your Hands, Bad Medicine, Blood on Blood, etc etc. It's definitely my favorite 80s Bon Jovi album. And it's an alternate for the 5th position half the time. Always somewhere in the middle at least though. That double disc released around 2014 is phenomenal! Richie's Vocals shined bright on New Jeresy, as well as the whole bands vocals.) 5) Keep The Faith (Yes, the second half isn't as good as the first, however Keep The Faith is a huge hit of a 90s return and reform! And it's always fun to see the 🪇 live for this one. Dry County, Fear, Mother, In These Arms all rock too. Tbh, Bed of Roses isn't one of my favorite ballads, but it's still really good. I think All I Want is just as good. Sleep When I'm Dead sounded very good live actually. It's another good one. Least favorite on here is Little Bit of Soul, but it has grown on me..) 4) These Days (Objectively this is very arguably the best album from the band in many regards. The songwriting development was highly improved, Jon was at the point where his peak vocal abilities were touching his downfall. It was a mixture of screaming, smoking, strenuous touring, etc. I mean the vocals on Something to Believe In, My Guitar, Damned, These Days, Hearts Breaking Even, Hey God! And on and on. This is a strong vocal album all around. If not the best. My favorites are If That's What It Takes, Hearts Breaking Even - a video of Blue Valentine on RU-vid got me into it a lot, and My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms. Is that a harpsicord at the bridge on If That's What It Takes? I love whatever that is, along with the cool vocal distortion effect. The R&B sound on Dammed is groovy. These Days is a fan favorite. Very few songs on here get below a 4 from me, making it a solid and consistent top 5 album overall. The songs that do could easily be 4s on a good day) 3) Bounce (It was a lovely Bounce back off Crush 😂 😉. Not a bad song, really. Joey, and RSOW are 2 of my least favorite. But the rest of this record is loaded imo. Misunderstood, All About Loving You, Love Me Back To Life, EveryDay, Bounce, Undivided, You Had Me From Hello are all 5s for different reasons. You Had Me From Hello was the song my wife actually thought would fit our wedding slow dance best. Lyrically it seemed to make the most sense and it also worked for our wedding video I've always . I always liked it before, but that's why this one is a 5 now. The sentimental aspect is there, even though it's not one of my favorites. It fitted perfect for where it was used. All About Loving You was for an engagement video. Yes, i paid to have a guy film it. But it was totally worth it. And like, Hello, it fit perfect. It's always been a song I love for it's simplicity and it encapsulates how I felt after proposing. Luke Ebbin produced this one, and funny story, he just recently liked one of my tweets about me wishing he'd come back to produce Bon Jovi's next record with Richie Sambora. Sadly neither of those things are likely to happen, of we even do get another record. I do know Jon had been writing with Billy Falcon last year in 2022 though.😊) 2) Crush (I'm with you, man! This is one of the best! Sometimes this one is 3rd, 4th, or 5th, and occasionally it could even be number 1. Like, back in 2020 I tried ranking my Bon Jovi albumns and I thouht Crush was number 1. It's always bouncing around somehwere in my top 5 it seems. Jon's voice had noticeably started losing It's huskiness and range here a bit, but it was still going strong for the next several records! That high note belt on Save The World was beautiful. It's My Life is what started it all for me in 2009 and got me into the band. It's a monster hit of a song. Crush is also the record that really started officially incorporating Billy Falcon on the songwriting collaboration. Mystery Train, IML, Next 100 Years, Two Story Town, and One Wild Night are all 5s for me. Just Older, and Say It Isn't are lyrically fun and crafty. And this album has a lot of playful lyrics and love/relationship type of songs. Like, literally half the album has to do with a girl or couple of some sort. Really, look at it. But most of them are pretty solid. There ain't a bad song on this album in my eyes. Speaking of ain't, here's a fun challenge for you! Count how many sounds uses the word "ain't" in. Ain't and Prayer are two of his favorite words to use in song lyrics! That is more uncommon words. Not counting words like "yeah",.:alright" and "can". I can almost guarantee you both of the words PRAYER and AIN'T are used more than once on every album since These Days. Anyway, I love how Crush ends with a great song like One Wild Night. It's hands down one of my favorite album closers from the band, along with Story of My Life...speaking of...) 1) Have A Nice Day (Again, not a bad song on this one. I love the album cover, the music videos, and the raspy edge to Jon's voice. I enjoy most of the 2000s videos really. This and Lost Highway were the last 2 albums before Jon's vocal decline had another obvious drop off. However, I do believe he sounded incredible on the Greatest Hits bonus tracks! Anway, my favorite 5 star songs on here are Have A Nice Day, Wanna Be Loved, I Am, Complicated, and Story of My Life. Last Man Standing holds up nicely too. Wildflower reminds me of Mystery Train and some of the fun/sweet/playful lyric type stuff off Crush. I think it's interesting that I love Complicated and it's the one cowrote by Max Martin, who also did It's My Life. This album has a good variety of positive, chip on the shoulder, harder rock songs! It was the bands last GREAT album imo. And one of the heavier albums. They really need to get Luke Ebbin back somehow and do another album in the same positive/fun spirit as this. Bring back the talk box too! ....maybe evn R.S. but again, that probably won't happen. Either way, I'll be happy just to get new music from my favorite band. They all still have so much talent and capability both in studio and live. The key factor is honestly just whether or not Jon could recover his voice enough to at least get back to 2019 quality. HAND isn't always number 1, but as for now that wicked coolaid grin is on top.) I can't wait for more Jovi videos! Consider doing Richie Sambora videos some time in the future or maybe even Billy Falcon's "When" or "Pretty Blue World" album. I got them all, but those are 2 starting ones to consider. Have a Nice Day! ❤

Dude, forgive me for expressing why I hated American Reckoning. I won't bother getting into song meanings in the future if Jon chooses to be political. I promise. I just wanna enjoy Bon Jovi content and talk music with other big fans.

More than 3 stars for the "worst" album sounds pretty good to me. Solid band. My No. 1 is New Jersey. And I get your No. 1, Lost Highway is top quality music and even when the only song I skip sometimes halfway is We Got It Going On, I could listen to it start to finish anytime. I started to view your videos for the last 3 videos, now I will start looking for the previous ones.

I've got to admit. I am new to your reactions. If I had the money and courage I would do these myself. I only owned 2 Bon Jovi albums and I was fortunate enough to see them live on the Keep The Faith tour. That is my favorite. Really gives Tico Torres a chance to shine. I also bought Crossroads - The Greatest Hits CD. I love the single In an Out of Love and much prefer the acoustic version of Living On A Prayer. To me, as a musician and drummer myself, I like it much better. Runaway, although way too keyboard heavy, is a fantastic song. Richie saved that one for me. Your reactions to KISS albums are wonderful 👍 and what hooked me to your channel. Thanks again for your brutal honesty 👍🤯ing.

Btw. as you are talking about 2020 is maybe the last Bon Jovi Album:.....from what I've heard Richie Sambora said this year that they are talking about Richie rejoining the band. And I've heard him saying something about that they have to figure out Jons vocal issues....and that he will write new music for Bon Jovi.
@HARDROCKreverie
@HARDROCKreverie Год назад
Yes, I heard that, too. Who knows? At the very least a farewell tour with Richie would be nice to see happen. And, of course, new material is always welcome. I do hope that Jon can get his voice back enough to be able to get through something like that, but I must admit to being extremely skeptical.

I'm just here again for a little question: Do you like Stryper? I'm not religouius (sorry I don't know how that word is written in english) at all. But I LOVE their songs. Some are cheesy as hell but some are so so SO great. Like my favorite of theirs "More than a man"...Give this song a shot. The lyrics are....questionable to say the least, but...oh my god! The Melodies are so great in this one! I just wanted to ask you. Because it seems you have a pretty similar taste in music like me....like when it comes to Kiss and Dokken and Ratt and Bon Jovi and Motley Crue usw. etc.

I can't get over this word. religious? Is that right? Come on English speaking Peole, Get Ö and Ä and Ü in your Alphabet! It makes things so much easier! In German it is "religiös"

@@LorKen17021991 Haha. Yes, "religious." And yes, I am a fan of the earlier Stryper albums! Like you said, I don't care at all for the ballads, because they're so horribly corny. But I really enjoy the heavier stuff! Great riffs, too!
