I have both the straps you mention for looks though the black and grey looks the best. My dad always wore a black nylon strap with his gold Oris, as his skin reacted and rotted leather. I don't have that problem and the same watch is now on a nice expensive black leather Italian strap.
It was a last minute decision to wear a watch , the director handed him his own watch , for some reason thats how he worn it its possible back in the day the materials gave a little and stretched , they were designed to go over dive suits which are thick . The director aparently scuba dived materials are tougher now and are resostant to stretching
Well, that was not a Nato strap. The strapo was a RAF regimental one with normal buckle. There's a few pictures showing Sean Connery's backhand with the buckle. NATO-ZULU straps were not invented in those times, btw. {edit} sorry I just saw the rest of the video and you mention that is not a nato eventually. Removed the "useless" lol.
Thanks Man. I recently got a raise at work and worked extra hours and I thought about getting this watch with this strap to reward myself. I hope it's ALL worth the money
