For us it's a fun skeleton-only run from our mild-mannered friend, Norovo. From the enemy's POV it is an extinction-level event, on par with the combination of a Borg attack + Tyranid invasion. It starts as a minor annoyance, destroying outlying settlements, but within weeks it grows into a fully fledged army, scraping every gram of biomass from the land and raising more from the cadavers of those who oppose them. And while the mightiest heroes of the living races try everything to stop it, searching the mightiest artefacts, calling down the angels of the heavens, awakening the mightiest dragons of legends, it is of no use. Their every assault is being thwarted by necromancers materializing out of thin air, armies of skeletons charging out of the gates of previously completely undefended and empty cities, then disappearing with the dead bodies as soon as they appeared without a trace until nothing remains from the kingdom...

Found this channel just this week and I've been just blown away by the quality and of course skill on display when it comes to manipulating the game *with* self improsed difficulty. This one was a master class of making the most out of one od the worst units in the game, it was like watching a painting come together one stroke of the brush (or skeleton farm) at a time. Awesome!

Reminds me of that mission from HOMM2 in the evil campaing, where the winning strategy was amassing a horde of skeletons. Had something like 6k by the end of the mission.

I still lose them sometimes, but usually by taking silly risks right at the start, and then I often just stop playing for the day or occasionally restart the video

Zounds Skels, NOW I see why you didn't need the transformer, even still whats better then over 5k skels ANOTHER 5k sekels of course lmao, you are a braver soul then I thou, I have had problems clearing a regular map with 7 ai, however now that you have shown the ways of the death knights this padawon may attempt a higher difficulty with a certain hero start. Look forward to seeing the rest of your playthroughs/challenges(is it possible to do only bone dragons I only ask because your a helluva lot better then I am lol)

So skeletons claim the war between everyone else, and they said power is in number not in strength. If you want an another challenge : play conflux (I just got obsessed with this town and cove) but you have to choose one magic element from water or air to cast only (Earth is very tuff and fire could destroy game's fun with Luna and Armageddon_Phoenix strategy) and more rules of your choice, how about that ?

@@Norovo Maybe : Conflux one element challange 🙂 If for explaining the roles just say that you choose an magic element like water or air only for challenge, I guess skeleton challenge was the most complicated because it roles limited the skeleton farming a lot and abandon the bone dragon. However you are right , you still didn't play normal conflux playthrough so I think it could be future challenge.

He normally does- this challenge gains nothing in entertainment value from walking everywhere during the cleanup.

Those spells are certainly very powerful, but they required a lot of investment for this effect. Level 5 Mage Guild (possibly multiple as you're not guaranteed Dimension Door in the first one), Expert Earth Magic for Town Portal, Expert Air Magic for DD, Town Portal costs 12 spell points per cast, DD costs 20 - these are a lot of resources to spend on things that don't directly help you in combat (aside from the Magic school skills). I don't think they're overpowered (and certainly not when only used after the opponent is seen using them), they serve a role as a way to close out games where you already have a massive advantage and your opponents has no chance of defeating you (but they can waste your time massively by hiring a lot of heroes and running around, trying to avoid you - which I imagine would be considered rude in multiplayer, but the AI still does it).

As the other comment mentioned I often do finish maps without those. But on a map like this, it would have taken about twice as long without adding that much extra challenge. It would get boring imo
