I saw Christopher Cross, Michael McDonald, and Kenny Loggins, at a show called the Monsters of Yacht Rock at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago. It.Was.Glorious.
I thought they might clown on him. The concert I went to was the most fantastic show I’ve ever been party to. Lights, chris picking between 10 guitars, the backup singers were amazing. Man it was great.
On April 3, 2020, Cross confirmed through his Facebook page that he had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, and was ill, but is recovering. Cross later reported on Twitter that he has lost the use of his legs, but his doctors have told him he should fully recover. Physicians told him his COVID-19 disease triggered an episode of Guillain-Barré syndrome that caused the nerves in his legs to stop functioning properly.
@T D I actually used to do standup...until the trump virus took away my ability to earn a paycheck. Now I've gotta wait until we get a president who believes in science to lockdown the country for two weeks so I can go back on the road.
The solo Christopher Cross does in Ride Like The Wind has potentially to be the one of the greatest guitar solos in music, but the backup singers and other instruments are so fucking loud that it drowns it out. They did our boy wrong.
