Yes, box product = scalar triple product. I don't have a video on that yet but I can tell you the proof of it, which is not too exciting, is to write vectors v, u, w, into their component forms, and just work out (v x u) dot w, like usual and recognize the final express as a result of a determinant of a 3x3 matrix, i.e. det(v, u, w)
