A couple weeks ago I finished season 2 of The Mandalorian, so now it's time to watch The Book of Boba Fett.
In the series premiere, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand receive a series of guests who intend to pay their respect. However, tensions rise when one guest doesn't bring a tribute.

I love the way this series uses Boba Fett's flashbacks in the bacta tank to fill in the gaps and help understand how he got from the Great Pit of Carkoon to present day and his role in The Mandalorian. Opinions tend to vary widely on this series, but I really liked it, (even being an O.T. fan since the beginning). In my opinion, as the series plays out, some of the best Star Wars content unfolds in the most unexpected ways.

Episode two is my favorite. I'm still waiting on a funko pop of the female tusken warrior (that looks like the tusken version of Kylo Ren).

Loved your reaction, and I agree with some of the things that worked really well. I would have liked to have seen a little more of the run time set in the present, maybe explaining a little more about what is going on. I like the 'in media res' style of storytelling, I use it myself quite often in my writing, but I think there is too much that they have to explain in dialogue rather than showing the audience. Overall a good episode.

I know a lot of people didn't like this show, and admittedly there's not a whole lot of content for the present day story, and they do spend A LOT of time on the flashbacks, but overall I did really like the show, even if I feel it was probably the weakest of the live action shows. And as you've heard, it IS actually necessary in order for the next season of The Mandalorian to make sense. Excited to see how you react to the rest of it and the next season of Mandalorian!

This series got a bit too much hate (the star wars way), but it was fun. I had issues with the tone the Robert Rodriguez episodes took (but kids probably loved it). Enjoy the ride :)
