To me as a "baby christian" the book of Esther was inspirational, but it opened me to the idea of fasting to draw closer to the Lord. It inspired me to fast and to lay my burdens to the Lord and let him take control of my life. God Bless!😊

Hurry up Christian I guess you can say I am now honestly a baby Christian because I went to church and I looked at the Bible but I didn’t really follow the Bible and I guess I still don’t but I am more willing now than ever to learn; I don’t know why but I recently have fall in love with the story of Esther and I started out with the VeggieTales version of this story for my one and a half-year-old son currently and I guess I just got hooked on it from then! I will pray for you

Also, fasting does very much improve your walk with God. I unintentionally fast as I had anorexia at one point in my life so not eating is sometimes usual for me, but if I am intentionally fasting, I noticed it is better, and I do draw closer from the Lord, and thank you for reminding me to do so as well this week.

Many many years ago in my renewed faith I awoke one night and out of a deep sleep, I jumped straight to my feet and spoke the words, “read the book of Esther.” I did, but not until watching this video at this very moment just realized why. God spoke to me then for what I need to do right now at this point in my life. God is GREAT! Thank you God, for your blessings and forgiveness. ❤️🙌🙏😇

It reveals how God takes care of people even when they don't even think about him. God is mentioned basically nowhere in book of Esther and it even ends with Jews instituting Purim to celebrate themselves. Purim isn't instituted by God and it wasn't instituted to celebrate God, but as Jews to celebrate themselves, which is quite the sad end for the story.

It should be noted that the reason Queen Esther said "if I perish, I perish" is because no one could come before the King unsummoned, if they did and he took offense and did not hold out the golden scepter they were executed. Which is why the King reiterated his question at the banquet, he knew that Queen Esther risk her life for more than a mere dinner party.

Esther is a type of the true church/body of Christ. There is the Vashty type: self-centered, rebellious, when the King calls her, she doesn't come to Him because she's too busy doing her own thing, self-important. This is the state of the modern "christian church". Salt that lost its flavor, and will be thrown out to be trodden. Right now, this modern apostate church does not seek to hear Him and obey Him, they covet the power and "gifts" though. It is a "social club", a "political club", they don't know what a prayer closet is. The present body is a sick body, with apraxia! Disconnected from the Brains/Head. Jesus is our Head, we are just the body. We were supposed to receive our daily instruction and direction from Him. We are facing a judgment of God at this time, the wrath of God will be poured, and His judgment begins "at home", with the rebellious church. The Lord will build His true Bride with the Esther type believers, who are willing to deny themselves, crucify their carnality and learn to hear His voice and do what He commands. The judgment of God came upon the people of God, because they turned their backs on Him. He came down personally and they crucify Him. We failed Jesus! We are no better than the jews.The apostate church is even worse because we had the Holy Spirit to guide us, but people decided they don't want to be governed by God. The result is that the world corrupted extremely, and God will have to intervene... This will be "the end" for the apostate church, but it is not the end of the World, the final END. Many scriptures have to be fulfilled for that to happen. The Lord will build His true Church, with people who are 100% committed and submitted to Him, willing to die for Him to live in them. People who will dedicate time to be with Him in His Presence, learning from Him, hearing what He has to say, and ready to obey Him. Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Good video! Ester was born "for such a time as this" as we all can be if we recognize and fulfill our purpose in life. 'For such a time as this' are very important words. Also, it is important to bring out that she knew the great risk she was taking to appear before the King without being summoned so she asked her people and her handmaidens to fast and pray with her for three days, I think it was, She exercised faith, pray and fasting to help her to accomplish the important and difficult task placed before her.

You forgot to mention _why_ Haman is important, not merely because he is the villian, though God raises him up much as he did to Pharaoh, and much like Pharaoh _chose_ against the people of God, but that Haman is an Agagite, descendent of Agag king of the Amalekites whom King Saul failed to root out from the Land entirely as directed. This was their sin returning to bitе them in the аss.

There are a lot of minor editing issues that is holding back this production. Egypt for example is in the West, not the East. It was her refusal, not his refusal. Esther was crowned Xerxes new Queen, not his King. Etc. Also, I think it's important to point out that Xerxes had put himself in a situation where no matter what happened, he'd embarrass himself. If Vashti had come and displayed herself, it would have made a fool out of him. And if she refused to come, as seems entirely proper for her to do both for her reputation as well has his, it would have made a fool out of him. The trouble with the refusal, according to scriptures, is it called into question whether the King was master of his own household. So the King had to do something to try to save face, and Vashti had to go. This is why you shouldn't drink too much wine.
@irishka_zolotse
@irishka_zolotse 3 года назад
Vashti should have done as was asked by her husband and king, think abt that, all those ladies, queens and concubines were slaves after entering the palace, even with the most high status from birth, the king was their owner; full of pride, she showed insubordination and was out. Rules are the rules, we sin, we,re out, but Jesus saved us all!!!!!
@preciousrizzabayeng3716
@preciousrizzabayeng3716 2 года назад
I agree. I thought Vashti was a negative character but No, she's a symbol of woman empowerment altho that term probably didn''t exist way back then when women are expected to submit to their husbands 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I just love Vashti. I actually loved King Xerxes but it's a minus, upon knowing that he divorced his wife just because she refused to dress provocatively and be shown off to pleasure the eyes of many ... You go girl. Someone saying she should still have followed the order because it's her job, well I can't imagine Esther following that exact order 🙄 plus, I still think Xerxes is a good man, just drinking too much wine always have negative effects.
@Star-dj1kw
@Star-dj1kw Год назад
@@irishka_zolotse I disagree. Vashti had moral boundaries. Just bc someone ‘in authority’ over you demands for a woman to do a seductive dance to show her off to his drunk pals…. nope 👎🏼 Maybe in the Super Patriarchy where women are just property that would be cool 😎 but Jesus treated women like humans. In Acts, Peter said it is better to obey God than man so Vashti took the moral high ground here. Many times doing what is right will cost you. She didn’t placate her drunk husband and it did cost her a crown but if she had gone out there and danced at his demand, Vashti could have been gang raped and THEN Discarded anyway 😢.
@marinelatodoj794
@marinelatodoj794 Год назад
@@irishka_zolotse to say no to be sexualized infront of drunk men should not be a sin. we are not suppoused to judge, remember? you can like a story and still see the faults in it, without judging them, but you should use your own sences of what is good and what is not. without working with our own sence we are lost, as you can see when you look in all the versions of belive, since things can be interpreted in different ways it gets dangerous, that is why we should belive in God combined with our own feelings of right and wrong, feelings not what we think. or what someone else said, no matter who. so yes Vashti was treated very wrong, it had a good outcome for Esther, the husband was not a good husband to one and a better to the other. that is it.
@marinelatodoj794
@marinelatodoj794 Год назад
there is one more thing i would like to write, Vashti didn`t need to leave, she still could have stayed in her position, since it was a harem, Ester could have had the role of one more wife, he would have liked her the same. so what happend to Vashti, hope that was not Gods doing. i prefer to see God in a better light then that. therefore i am not going to attack anyone who did the right thing, in a sertain context most people don`t seem to see it as that, simply they belive they are standing up for something good by attacking in this case Vashti. i seperate good and bad, and see what God is doing.

Esther means “star”. It is derived from the Greek word Αστέρης asteris meaning “star”. This name morphed in Easter. We see this word in asterisk or disaster ( bad or unlucky star = astrology) astronomy, astrology. Esther was derived from Asherah companion of YHWH also known as El to the Sumerians. She was known as “she who walks upon the waters” and associated with the planet Venus which to the ancient people was a type of “wandering star” thus planet meaning “to wander”. The story of Esther then May have mythological roots about the goddess Aphrodite known as Venus to the Romans.

On the third day, Esther went to see the king In her Royal robe Though her presence was not requested He would be pleased with her she hoped He was pleased indeed and welcomed her To come closer, to come near He told her that whatever she wished He would grant and wanted to hear She asked that he and Haman would come together with her to dine She did not reveal her request Her request will come in time The king and Haman joined Esther For a banquet on that same day To the king surprise, she did not reveal What she was waiting to say Mistake, she requested that they Would come together for another meal This time on tomorrow Her quest she was surely reveal When Haman left the banquet He was feeling rather good Until he saw Mordecai Wouldn't bow is hayman thought he should Hayman went home to his family For an evening filled with brag He bragged about his family, his wealth Being the banquet stag He went on to tell about the one thing That frustrated and continued to bother Mordecai still will not bow, kneel Nor to him would he pay honor Hey man set up a 75-foot pole As advised by his friends and wife His plan was to go to the king and request This to be how Mordecai will die (By Esther Coleman-Spells) I hope you enjoyed the poem for Esther 5.

More Black Replacement Theology. SMH. If you think race matters... Romans 11:17-24. @Benayah Israel David was of 'ruddy / red' complexioned, that doesn't occur with Africans, but can with the fairest of ME people groups. @SagePerception David already conceded the point, do you just not understand the meaning of 'olive-skinned / olive-complexioned?' Just because the Media-Persian empire stretched to Africa does not the Persians, or Jews, Africans make. Extent frescas depict 'olive-skinned / complexioned' people throughout the Levant, not Africans.
@CoCoFantastique

why is then when Jesus is blonde hair with blue eyes there is no cry of white replacement theology? Hundreds of years...no outcry or outrage? Like I said the Persian Empire are what even most people are like in that region..black and brown..Race indeed doesnt matter...so why for hundreds of years have people been so hard pressed to depict everyone in the Bible with milky white skin and very European features. Nefarious deception is what it is. We will never know the exact color of these individuals .but we know it was historically impossible for them to be European looking like the blonde blue eyed, or very pale skinned. If we want people to believe these are real historical accounts...lets start buy having realistic imagery.

Esther was chosen as a "queen" through fornication. And the king appeared to be so weak, that he was manipulated by pretty much everyone who had access to him. No romance in this story. If youre a Chrisitan, then you supposed to acknowledge the truth, not reformat the holly scripture to your personal views and liking ( which is what this video has done )

@karole I can read the Bible in 3 different languages with 3 different alphabets as I am fluent in 3 distinct language groups. So in terms of the mind, mine is definitely bigger than yours. I also know history, and you clearly don’t have even a slight concept of it. You’re probably an American, you people are taught fairytales instead of real world history! Tiny mind you are indeed, and majorly ignorant at that! Do you know about the Persian empire, about the kings of that time? They all had harems! What do you western mind think that is? Ahaseurus was having sex with multiple women. He was an ungodly pagan king. Sure there was a beauty contest, and what happened after that ignoramus? How about you read your Bible? The king had sex with every one of the contestants, and Esther pleased him in bed the most. That’s the definition of fornication. Perhaps that’s why God’s Holly name is not mentioned in this book. That doesn’t make the book any less significant, but as I said before Christians should be the first ones to speak the truth and call a spade a spade. Stop being fake!

God, especially in the old testament, uses some "unholy" characters and "unholy" means to save the Israelites. Persian, Mede and Babylonian kings being the most prominent. Cyrus the Great is specifically called by name in the Bible to save the Jews. Also look at some methods employed to rescue Israelites from enemy hands. The one that stands out the most to me, is the overnight massacre of Egyptian children by an angel. By any standards this was utterly ruthless.

Dear GDN, thanks for your nice presentation. Can you explain why Esther, in chapter 4, was justifiably hesitant to take Mordecai's second message (about Haman vs. the Jews) to Ahasuerus, but did not hesitate at all in chapter 2, regarding taking Mordecai's first message (about Bigthan and Teresh) to Ahasuerus? Since the laws of Persia were not easily changed (8:8), it would seem that either of these interruptions to Ahasuerus' schedule could have resulted in her being executed. (I think I can explain this, but I'd like to know your thoughts.)

Probably because the first occasion was a matter of life and death for the king himself, but the second occasion was for a 'small people' whom the king didn't mind his right-hand man, Haman, killing off completely. So obviously, the second issue would seem insignificant, especially because it still wasn't known that Esther was one of them (a Jew).
@johnbuchan3678
@johnbuchan3678 Год назад
Dear Princess Carib Studio, thanks for kindly replying. In chapter 2 Esther had to convince the king that two of his trusted bodyguards (Bigthan and Teresh), whom he likely had selected himself (please recall the excellent relationship that Nehemiah had with Artaxerxes, the king Nehemiah was protecting) were actually planning to kill him. I think that was a very dangerous assignment that she courageously accepted without hesitation. I think her hesitation in chapter 4 was due to her concern that although she'd saved Ahasuerus' life in chapter 2, he had neither expressed his thanks nor had arranged to even greet her for 30 days. In chapter 5 when she realized that Ahasuerus was so appreciative that he wanted to reward her with half of the kingdom, I think Esther realized that it had been Haman (who had been the hidden mastermind behind the plot of Bigthan and Teresh, but then treacherously decided to get Bigthan and Teresh prosecuted and executed to make himself look good) who had convinced the king to see no one for 30 days, to prevent Esther from delivering any more information from Mordecai that might disrupt Haman's next plot to kill the king. How does that sound?
