"Overcoming is done in weakness." Love this! Reminds me of when many of the Lord's disciples went back and walked with Him no more but Peter said, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

I always viewed overcoming as overcoming our sins, yes Jesus saves us but the struggle is still there and we must try to be pleasing to the Lord and not succumb to our fleshly desires

Maybe next lesson you will elaborate in The Seven Fold Spirit of God from Rv. 1,3,4,5... pretty important as it is referred to four times. I found the answer in Isaiah 11:1-6.... it’s the character of Yeshua,: Each flame on the Menorah represents a characteristic of the Messiah! Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Power, Knowledge, Fear of God, Just Judgment. The Menorah had to be lit 24/7...so when we get born again, He lights our light forever, it was made of one piece of beaten Gold, Is. 53 He was wounded for our transgressions;Is. 52:14... He was so marred you could not even tell He was a Man! Oil speaks of Priesthood. Gold speaks of Kingship. Do in the Revelation when He warns each of the seven churches if they fail to repent, He will remove their Menorah/Lampstand.... He’s saying I will remove my presence from your Congregation!! Another great teaching mate, thank you. As a retired miltary officer who served 40 years, i suggest that many referenced to heavenly beings can be related to our modern military. For example, a single person can have their identity within the military (Colonel Bloggs), his qualification (eg he or she may be a pilot, or an infantry officer, or a Naval Logistical officer), he then has his appointment (Commanding officer of an F35 squadron, or A specific Platoon commander or perhaps the XO of a destroyer). He can then have secondary appointments, such as Officer in Charge of The base Officers Club, or perhaps President of the Base Safety Committee. Then there may be temporary appointments such as Detachment commander for an exercise. All of these "titles" or "identities" can be held simultaneously by individuals. I suspect that angels (messengers) may be a similar thing. Some of these heavenly creatures may be permanently assigned to be angels, whereas other heavenly creatures may be assigned that duty on a secondary, or perhaps temporary atanding. Perhaps that could also explain how such a spiritual duty could be assigned to a human...

Kudos on the phrase "I lean toward the view " thank you for that. Not enough who teach revelation (especially) never use that phrase and I really believe it's sooooo critical. This is an extremely delicate and extremely important book that we don't want people to get tripped up in any way. People who teach revelation using that phrase deserves a compliment.

Wow, praise God for speaking so powerfully through you, Joel. Much truth in his Spirit. I just heard a sermon recently by John Piper about Colossians 3:1-4 "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." I love this because our lives are not here in this world, but are hidden with Christ, which will be revealed at his coming. It is a beautiful truth that I want ingrained in me so that, by God's grace, I can endure the wrath of Satan which will soon be unleashed.

You missed the best part, where YHWH Gods plans are being fulfilled and made perfect when His son Yeshua died crucified and was laid in a tomb. 😯 No, he wasnt just dead! YESHUA went to the corridors and chambers of hell, bound and shackled satan, set free the captives in the cells and said "From now, anyone who testifys in my name you must OBEY!" ✝️ Then YESHUA was risen and furthermore ascended to the right hand of the Father. Not sure why so many people miss this VITAL part of YHWH GODS own story, the battle between Lucifer, the fallen angels and YHWH GODS KINGDOM. 🤔 It is written, THE BATTLE IS THE LORDS! Amen 🙋‍♀️✝️🕊

he seven churches described in Revelation 2-3 are seven literal churches at the time that John the apostle was writing Revelation. Though they were literal churches in that time, there is also spiritual significance for churches and believers today. The first purpose of the letters was to communicate with the literal churches and meet their needs. The second purpose is to reveal seven different types of individuals/churches throughout history and instruct them in God’s truth. A possible third purpose is to use the seven churches to foreshadow seven different periods in the history of the Church. The problem with this view is that each of the seven churches describes issues that could fit the Church in any time in its history. So, although there may be some truth to the seven churches representing seven eras, there is far too much speculation in this regard. Our focus should be on what message God is giving us through the seven churches. The seven churches are as follows: (1) Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7) - the church that had forsaken its first love (2:4). (2) Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11) - the church that would suffer persecution (2:10). (3) Pergamum (Revelation 2:12-17) - the church that needed to repent (2:16). (4) Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29) - the church that had a false prophetess (2:20). (5) Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) - the church that had fallen asleep (3:2). neither of the prophecies of these 2 time periods been fullfied yet. (6) Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-13) - the church that had endured patiently (3:10). the rapture is promised before the trib. (7) Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22) - the church with the lukewarm faith (3:16). these apostate churches are cast into the trib. no mention of church is made during the trib. there are no church lampstands after rev 4. houses of Israel and Judah are now covenant. New International Version For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5 Now about the times and seasons, brothers, we do not need to write to you. 2For you are fully aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4But you, brothers, are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief. 5For you are all sons of the light and sons of the day; we do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6So then, let us not sleep as the others do, but let us remain awake and sober. 7For those who sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation. 9For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. 11Therefore encourage and build one another up, just as you are already doing.

OK - after reading 'Revelation' a few times, I didn't understand that to be seven church periods, but just examples of churches that existed when 'Revelation' was written and possibly still exist today. This is how I understood it. Am I correct?

7 Churches of Turkey, 6 are Islamic Mosques, and the Church of Philadelphia has been moved to Greece.

The seven churches better called Kehila, which is Hebrew for assembly are represented by the Minora, the seven branch lamp in the Holy Place. The fact that the Temple had been destroyed as Yeshauh predicted, is symbolized by the Exile of the Hebrew Kehila, which obviously primarily came to Asia Minor, even John was on Patmos exiled right off the coast of Asia Minor, these Chrurches primarily are not Synogogues which Paul started much earlier, for Paul himself said that all Asia had deserted him, these Congregations are primarily from the Exiles from the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. From this point on the Minorah would represent the little Mqdash or small Temple, a promise which Yehovah made in Ezekiel that even though the Sons of Israel would be banished Yehovah would still be present with them. These are the Hebrew children who are faithful but must also endure the exile for wickedness. So even though later on in the time of fulfilement of the last Shmita of Daniel, although these are not the Assemblies left in Asia,for ultimately they are not the Churches in Asia, they are the Minorah from the Temple In Exile, and that those Sons of Israel through covenant relationship are the overcomers in the last Days. We are the light of the world , we who are part of covenant Israel are the Minorah to the world

I find your teachings and Joel’s teachings very interesting. That having been said, why the provocative, graphic terms-always talking about bloody this and disemboweled that…we know Jesus was battered and frankly you don’t need the graphic words to get your point across. There may be others we want to share these with as well, so please keep that in mind . Thank you.

So i'm not sure what your saying about Dr Heisers work but he in they unseen realm explains about the elohim correctly ,,, there is a distinction between Elohim little gs and the divine council according to the scriptures. They are not all angels. Dr. heiser does not believe that or teach that.

Why do you guys use "one eye symbolism'" in the intro?

What a horrible opening... We have no indication that john is missing his friend Yeshua, since John didn’t know anyone the underminers of Christianity had yet to name ‘Jesus’...we have no idea how old john is...and we have no idea that in chapter 1 that john recognizes his old friend, simply describing a vision of, ‘one LIKE the son of man’...and not, ‘oh boy thank you lord for reuniting me with my old friend jesus’. This man took all the REAL impact right out of chapter 1, where what’s described is an encounter with the ‘faithful witness’ who looks horrifying, since john falls down as dead before it, and presents the 7 stars and candlesticks as ‘the mystery’ he is about to explain to john.

I've read 'Revelation' a few times, but I didn't understand that each Church referred to a different time period in history. I thought all of them existed during the same period and had deviated from the Gospel, each in their own way - nevertheless, I have something against you. You've added another dimension to my understanding of these letters to the different churches. Thanks.

I am a born-again Christian who has been tested and have gone through much tribulation my whole life. I have never let one single event define me.................through the Holy Spirit it was made clear to me why I was going through, what I was dealing with. So I never really got mad at God, I had many questions along the way. Some questions he has answered and others I will wait for. I have the mind set that everything has a purpose, whether it is a learning moment, a discipline moment, a loving comporting moment etc. So I always look for the meanings, what I am supposed to get out of this?!? I could have chosen to walk around bitter and resentful, but I choose not too----it is a CHOICE we have to make. I'll admit it. Never growing up in a church but reading the bible myself I definitely overanalyzed this part of the book. I didn't mean to, in fact I really didn't notice for some time. But it makes no sense to cherry pick what to interpret and what to keep as is. Having watched the series up to this point the book of revelation can certainly be frightening. But I realize that's my carnal instincts and thoughts, and regardless of what our God brings upon us when he comes, then there's nothing to fear. It shall be how it shall be. And what do I really understand with my mortal faculties? Certainly not enough by which to judge the actions of our Savior.

According to our apostle paul’s ministry in The King James Bible,we are only saved by believing The Gospel of Jesus Christ, 1st Corinthians Chapter,15 verse 1-4.Jesus Christ died on the cross,shed His Blood for all of our sins,was buried and rose again on the third day.Jesus Christ Shed Blood is what saves you when you believe this plan of salvation with your heart.

Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation: ( which prove the book is not in chronological order ) Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse. Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb. Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present? The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ. He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18. The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15. The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14, which is related to the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13. He comes as a thief at Armageddon, and we find the greatest earthquake in history in chapter 16. This occurs when the 7th angel pours out his vial. How powerful is an earthquake which moves islands and destroys the mountains? What is happening to the planet? He comes on a horse in chapter 19. He comes with the fire, and the judgment of the dead at the end of chapter 20, which agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, and 2 Timothy 4:1. (The time of the judgment of the dead is also found in Revelation 11:18.) There are no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46. Why does an angel come down from heaven with a key to unlock the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2, if the pit was not already locked? Revelation 9:14 proves some of the angels have already been bound in some manner. Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book. The only way to properly interpret the book is through the principle of "Recapitulation".

Is it proper to say Jesus is Almighty in Revelation? All through Revelation the distinction of The Almighty AND The Lamb is made. Isn’t Almighty used 9 times in Revelation always referring to The Father? Isn’t the idea all through scripture only The Father is The Almighty?

You guys give me so much to consider and think about. I struggle not w/ the Lord's sufficient salvation, but what degree of love constitutes faith. Jesus said such as "if you love me, you will keep my Commandments", but when you do the things a horrible creature would do in sin and not keep even the basic 10 at all times, and thusly, not a good showing a love for Him, how then can you claim to be His w/o it being essentially in empty words? I think of the one whom Jesus said to rid of his current life and all his possessions and join him, but alas, he couldn't let go of the life he lived and had to walk away in sadness; very few would walk away from everything they know in this broken life. Despite its brokenness, it's what most people are comfortable with because it's... familiar. I continuously ask myself, how does one REALLY know if they are overcoming or not, when there is so much evidence in life (mine, anyway) contrary to that? Sometimes, there is that powerful Gibsonesque overcoming, but in others... you get lost in the flood that is the cancerous world, a world that psychologically knows how to get into your mind and cause you to sin and not be a good representative of God's Kingdom.

Just curious can anyone point me to where China is in Revelation or any prophesy for that matter?

The " his angel in Revelation 1:1 is the angel of the Lord (same angel that was referred to in Exodus etc ) whereas the seven churches each have an angel designated to them for delivering the message to them. Bishops etc are not in the category of angel messengers, they are mortals unlike the angels of God. The angel of the Lord always refer to holy [separated unto God] angels unlike the fallen angels who followed after Lucifer. There are no departed souls in heaven (departed souls of believers are in Paradise and the souls of unvelievers are in Hell).

Here’s what I think of someone can comment their thoughts: It is time dated in church schisms just like a lamp stand schisms. The first is Eastern Orthodox because Emperor Constantinople founded the first official church in Instanbal (also why seven churches are founded in Asia Minor). Edict if Milan. 313ad. This church also left first love (Catholic) later on 1080ad. It does not have priestly celibacy of nicolaitains. The second schism is the oriental church, persecuted in Middle East. 451ad schism. The third is Pergamon, or Catholic who has a false seat in Rome in the donation of Constantine that divided the empire and set up the Holy Roman See as the ‘true church’. Roman Nero martyred the saint Pergamon (instanbal), where Satan has set up his throne ‘amongst the romans’, rather than Patriarch of Constantinople. It’s a predominantly west church (European) of fornication and idols (Santa and Easter bunny). It has the celibacy commandment sin of the nicolaitains which is wrong. Celibacy is not a rule but to those in whom it is given. 1080ad schism. Next is Thyatira which we all know is Protestantism. Jezebel is King Henry VIII that jumped over and called himself a prophet, or head of English church. All her children are Protestant offshoots (Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian etc). Also a West church with the sin of fornication (abortions, generation rent) and idols (Santa & Easter bunny). Deep secrets of Freemasons are accepted by protestants. Lots of witchcraft in England. C. 1500ad Sardis, Evangelical is ‘the great awakening’. A reputation for being awake. 1700ad Then restorationist is the church of Sardis. This is like mormons, Jehovas witness, Amish, gloriavale, and those closed communities. Small and humble and returning to puritanical roots. C. 1800ad Pentecostal... the last seventh church laodecia is all the modern Pentecostal churches of today. They are rich and popular but in truth wretched, blind and poor. (Hillsong, Joel Osteen etc). They are pleasing to man or lukewarm. C. 1900ad That’s what I think. It’s time dated of schisms sin order. Any comments?

"For as the lightning comes from the east and shines even unto the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be " ( Mathew 24:27 ) The "LIGHTNING" = the "LIGHT" (Truth) of the gospel (good news) OF (from ) Christ (Jesus)... The "EAST" = a little town in Egypt called Nag Hammadi, and the "GNOSTIC GOSPELS" .... The "WEST" = the western world, and namely the USA who is "ISRAEL" (Ephraim)... The "SON OF MAN" = a Divine Title that tells us WHO WE ARE "In Christ"....a PERFECT "MAN".

In the Strongs Concordance "Angel"- G32 - aggelos (ang-el-os) (probably derived from G34; to bring tidings) a messenger, especially an angel; by implications a pastor;-angel messenger.

I love you Joel but you kinda lost me with the angel is a man. Maybe I don't understand what you mean. Angels are spirit being but not here? If that's what you're saying it's a departure from let the bible say what it's saying. I will listen again.

So who coined the term trinitas or trinity and who formulated the doctrine? God is not a trinity and neither am I. There's only one God and his name is Jesus. All we will ever see or hear of God is the Son.

Is 9:6 Says Mighty, but doesn’t say Almighty

Brother Joel, I encourage you to go back and listen to your presentation(s) and count how many times you interject "I" into your talk. And in previous presentations, "I don't want to boast (perhaps you used brag)". You are gifted and blessed, learned and more. But! Brother I don't care how many books you have written, or that are on your bookshelf. I have tuned in to these presentations to eat, and be nourished by the word rejoicing before the Lord. See Deut 12: 7-12 "And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, . . ." I encourage you to respond, it would be wonderful to be nourished and knit together - growing with the increase from God. It is truly a Great Mystery. (Col and Eph)

The seven "angels" ARE the seven "churches" ARE the seven "candle sticks" ARE the seven "Spirits" ARE the seven "eyes" ARE the seven "thunders" ARE the seven "trumpets" ARE the seven "bowls" ARE the seven "plagues" .

You have some good things to say, BUT you failed to include the most important aspect. The 7 letters and MOST importantly the entire book is written to Jews of that day, NOT the body of Christ. Look at the words and phrases in the letters such as " I know your works " The church of Jesus Christ is not based on works. Neither are we told to repent by OUR Apostle Paul whom Jesus sent to us. In the letter to Smyrna Jesus talks to them about those who say they are Jews but are not. No Gentile is going to care who is a Jew and who is not. In the letter to Pergamos Jesus reproves them because there are those who hold to the doctrine of Balaam. No Gentile is going to understand that comment, but a Jew will. Same with the letter to Thyatira were Jesus says you suffer that woman Jezebel to teach. No gentile is going to understand who Jezebel is, nor care, but a Jew would. What about the letter to Sardis ? Did we gain eternal life or not ? Are we to worry on a daily basis that our names may be blotted out of the book of life ? Where is eternal security through faith ? Does it make sense that Jesus would dictate 7 letters to Gentile churches and purposely use terms that Gentiles would not understand ? The letter to Philadelphia about keeping them from the hour does sound like a rapture verse, but it's not. It's to the remnant of Jews that God will preserve through the 7 years while the other 2/3's will be killed. Sir: Please learn to rightly divide 2 Tim 2 :15 if your going to teach God's word. Re-read Revelation using a Jewish mindset and your eyes will be opened. Remember it's the Jews who go through the tribulation. The book of revelation is primarily about the tribulation, also know as the time of Jacobs trouble, it's the Jews who go through this not the body of Christ. There is no need to write anything to us. Paul has already given us everything we need to know, and he NEVER warned us that we would be involved in that horrific time. No, he was given the revelation of the rapture where we will be outta here ! ! ! !

The clouds are a metaphorical word describing God's people ISRAEL!!! He comes riding on ISRAEL, GOD'S PEOPLE.

Jesus approved only 2 out of 7 churches. . .be in one of those. No wonder the misunderstanding that follows all these competitive opinions. According to God, He remains, far from all this manipulation and confusion. Careful, of those that find a soap box.
