I was grateful to here that about being blotted out. I have never believed "once saved always saved" but did not know how to prove it. I started going to church in my teens but backslid and was all into partying with my friends. One day my brother sat me down and told me I was going straight to hell. There was no doubt in my mind he was telling the truth. I then rededicated my life to the Lord.
How Believers can take the grace of God & their salvation for granted & grieve His tender & compassionate heart. We can remove our names from the Bk.of Life by the choices we make. 😢 Salvation has to be worked out with fear & trembling, l believe. TQ Ps.Tim- GBU 😊
Great as always Ps. Tim. Great insight about the impregnable city. Interesting that the two times the enemy gained access it was via the actions of one of the watchmen, the soldiers. A little compromise, a laps in discipline, just a little sin, a little carnality, a little attitude and it gave the enemy access to the impregnable city.
The scripture "...and I will not blot out his name from the book of life..." validates and makes sense of Phil. 2:12 "...work out your salvation with fear and trembling;" On a personal note, in my enthusiasm for Jesus I find it hard not to race ahead, and through prophetic words have been told to WAIT for Him. So for me it's easy to believe a name can be blotted out. Thanks again Ps Tim.
Donna, God foreknows all who will be in his book. My understanding is that it is sealed at our conversion. No one can take us out of his hand however it seems from various scriptures that we are able to take ourselves out. Consider Hebrews 6:6 and Heb 10:26 that talks about Christians who continue to live in the practice of wilful sin. Thanks for a great question!
I remember hearing someone preach that everyone’s name is written in the book of life BUT our names are blotted out of the book if we choose to reject God. What are your thoughts on this? Do u think all names are in the book of life and then we blot ourselves out or do you think the book is blank and our names are added?
Hi Ps Tim. Thanks for your amazing teachings. We are grateful for sharing with us. I was reflecting on the book of life verse and thinking of the Holy Spirit. Can we lose the Holy Spirit? And if so, is it not possible to regain as per Hebrews 6:4? And can one be rebaptised? I’m also considering Deutronomy quoting I will never leave or forsake you. The reason to this question in reference to the book of life is that the Bible states that the Holy Spirit is our seal. Thanks Ps Tim for any thoughts. God Bless.
No one can take us out of his hand only ourselves. Some people take themselves out by choice and reach a hardened state. While we have a passion to come back he will not turn us away. If we have a desire for him we have not committed the unpardonable sin. Those who have become either totall indifferent or hostile against. All of us at some stage have worked our way through the Heb 6 and 10 scriptures!

@bkezelos You can't reject grace, once you believe, you can't stop believing, because a true believer has the Holy Spirit, if you fall into sin, you will not be able to stay there, because you are a new creation in christ, and the conviction of the spirit will draw you out one way or another, or God will just deal with you.
