The Bookcase is a friendly independent bookshop situated in the village of Lowdham, approximately 8 miles north of Nottingham, and is well known for its programme of author events. The arrival of Covid-19 in the spring of 2020 meant that live events had to be cancelled, and so we have been looking at other ways of keeping in touch with our lovely customers. We decided to produce a series of online interviews and talks, filmed at The Bookcase.
This, the third in the series, features Bob Massey who is a local historian, specialising in the Nottingham area. In his talk he tells the surprising and inspiring story of this historic family and their wide range of achievements in the small Nottinghamshire town of Arnold.
