Huey believes he will be on death row because he wants to fight for change even if it ends up with him dying for the cause. He's often shown to have a freedom fighter mentality and is even been called a terrorist in the show.

10:35 The entire plot with Huey’s homie on death rope based on controversial story: there was Black Panther member, that shot to death police officer, when mentioned officer either beaten or attempted to arrest his brother. The man is still in prison, but at least his execution was changed to life sentence. Understandably, relatives of killed police officer still mad about that incident. The creator of show, as you already guessed it, is believing that was orchestrated conspiracy to weaken Black right movement.

18:43 I believe the point of the 5% is that Huey did what he could, every step of the way without giving up. However, the chances of Ruckus getting struck by lightning were slim, the chances that he would get struck by lightning at the exact moment of Shabbaz execution were infinitesimally smaller, AND the odds that the lightning strike would cause a blackout at the EXACT moment of execution were almost an impossility (bear in mind that prisons have backup generators, so even a power outage would leave the system inoperable for only a brief moment). So you multiply those 1 in a billion odds with the 5% chance of Huey being right about the governor being gay, and you get a sequence of events that would constitute a miracle The point being, do what you can, do everything possible, and leave the impossible to God

Honestly, this episode is one of my favourite depictions of faith in any media, which is usually depicted as cartoonishly preachy or cartoonishly evil. Ironically, it took a CARTOON to depict faith in a human and thought-provoking light.

First, Jesus wasn't a carpenter, he was trained as a rabbi. It's obvious from his quoting of the Talmud and other ancient Hebrew texts. Second, he MAY have been 50% or more "white" because if Joseph wasn't the daddy, it was very likely that Mary (the word translated to "virgin" today meant "young woman" in languages preceding English) caught an SA from a Roman occupation soldier (at the time, all Roman soldiers were citizens of Rome and the immediate surrounding areas). This also would explain why fascist Rome would make a Levantine Jewish heresy their official state religion: because it was started by a son of Rome, who an emperor could (and DID!) adopt.

And are we ignoring that fact it took until 318 to make Christianity the state religion, a whole 215 years later, which in those years Christians were killed, falsely imprisoned, and tortured. Also the whole "Roman Soldier and Mary" thing WAS FROM THE TALMUD and is a Jewish "argument" (lie) to try to disprove Christ.

“Don’t do anything to get in trouble and you won’t end up on death row.” There’s a number of black men who literally didn’t commit a crime they were accused of, but still ended up on death row. It’s a sad fact of the American ‘justice’ system which would take the testimony of overt racists as evidence of guilt.
