I’m the only white girl in my office. I’m friends with my coworkers so (when my boss isn’t around) they will roast me for my whiteness. One day, one of the guys yelled out a Riley quote, and instinctually I said “Boondocks!” He spun on me and said “You don’t watch Boondocks! Prove it! Name a quote!” …And I had to pause. NOT because I couldn’t think of a quote, but because all the quotes I thought of came from Uncle Ruckus! 🤣 Finally I just said “All white people love cheese!”

This show came out when Conservatism lost the grip on censorship, and before Leftist became the New Censors. This show couldn't have been made a few years before it was made, nor could it be made today. It came out at just the right time when TV was liberalized in the right ways.

yes it would totally still be allowed on tv because it's social commentary. It's laughing at him for being so awful, not laughing with him because you agree. I don't understand why people still don't get this. There is a difference between just being a douche/racist/whatever and making jokes involving being a douche/racist/whatever. Do not wish theu bring it back. The new artstyle was soft, cartoony, and way too chibi looking for this show. On top of that it's hbo. They made Velma and stand by that dumpster fire. They would ruin the show and its legacy.
