I totally agree that BODO used to be ASURA. My fore father used to be from royal family and my mother used to told me some glimpse that we used to be ASURA in past times but evolved time to time. And that is also the reason why we people worship BATHOW(SHIVA) more than any other GOD. because since ancient time AUSRA only used to worship SHIVA(BATHOW). And now i see how it connects 😮

There is no any reference of Shiva and Bwrai batau . Do not get confused by the process of Hinduization Bodo has its own Culture, religion and tradition. The problem is that the religion domain in India is divided between Hindu , Muslims , Christian, Sikh , Buddhism and Jainism. If some religion doesn't fall under any domain we assume it as part of Hinduism which is not

Who's the beautiful lady in 30:20? As a traditional attire enthusiast, I'm so glad that she has shown the old traditional attire of Sanjari Bodo(Eastern Bodo) women, which also is quite prevelent among the Kachari tribes of Upper Assam like Deori, Sonowal, Chutia etc. The attire is known as 'Ogrong Dokhona' or simply Mekhela among Sanjari Bodos. The two edges of Ogrong Dokhona are stitched together unlike' Langa'/ 'Bidon Dokhona'. I believe Mekhela Sador is of Kachari origin. Sanjari Bodos(Eastern Bodos) of undivided Kamrup, Undivided Darrang, Nagaon and also Bodos of present day Goalpara on southern bank of Brahmaputra were known by exonym 'Kachari' , whereas Swnabari Bodos or western Bodos of Undivided Goalpara on northern bank of Brahmaputra, North Bengal and Nepal were known by their exonym Mech or Mleccha. The Dokhona (mostly yellow in colour and has stripe and floral pattern all over it) that's prevelent today, adhere it's origin to Western Bodos and shares quite a similarity with the clothes of their neighbouring community like Hajong, Rabha, Garo and Koch of Meghalaya.

Yes sador mekhela is kachari origin as dimasa women wear 'rigu' which is same as Assamese mekhela only difference is floral designs. The eastern Bodos wear Ogrong dokhona which is also called 'Donga mekhela' is same as the Long mekhela of Sonowal,moran and deori tribes. Deori call the mekhela as 'igu' similar to dimasa 'rigu'. The eastern kachari tribes wear a waistwrapper on top of the igu which is called kokalmora or jokachiba in deori language. and interestingly moran tribe wears the muga mekhela on top of the kokalmara and then wears the sador or riha above it which looks like the Assamese attire it is said this was the original form of wearing mekhela sador. Infact the name 'riha' in Assamese may be originated from the 'risa' cloth of dimass tribe. THE western Bodos wear the Langa Dokhona which is unsewed while ogrong is sewed. The langa dokhona is worn by rabha,Koch and hajong ribes also but names and designs are different like Bodo=Dokhona langa Rabha=phota,rifan Koch and hajong=phota,pathin,patani rajbongshi=patani. While in eastern side ogrong was worn bodo=dokhona ogrong deori=igu chutia,moran,sonowal,thengal=methoni or mekhela. ❤

As boro i feel good to see this documentary presented to non boro people. And i hope you will show about boro people lost tradition hunting tradition which was last seen in raimona forest and now it's ban because it is national parks now
