I was messing with the morale system and it amazing how much the game changes depending on it. If your morale is 5 level lower than the enemy, they become so much more aggressive and will use their red attacks alot. Basically a 1 sided massacre. If your morale is 1 level lower, they are aggressive but they won't keep spamming red attacks as much as before. If your morale is equal to the boss, the fight will be so well balanced and enjoyable, not too op or too garbage. If your morale is 1 level higher, they start to become passive and take their time attacking If your morale is 5 levels higher, you will feel like you are playing on peaceful difficulty. They use red attack so less that you start to miss it. The damage increase on your side is insane aswell as the amount of damage taken. Overall, you can replay this game how many times you like with a refresher because of this system. Ps: if your morale is 1 and boss morale is 20, that a challenge video right there.
@@davidh6652 idk sometimes I’ve deflected all of his attacks but sometimes he will just put it on fire randomly without attacking, so I just throw an icicle.
@@vincenzo4314 it's maybe because you missed the deflect and just dodged its happened to me a few times. But yeah the first water spell is great against him.
Lu Bu and Zhang Liao were in my opinion the hardest bosses by far. Lu Bu because he was certainly a skill check to make sure you were learning to perfectly parry, and Zhang Liao because he was just relentless with his attacks
Cool video, Guys! It's nice to hear that the game turned out well, as you never know for certain with a lot of Souls-likes. I will say it's pretty unusual for both the first and final bosses to be among the hardest in the game, as it's usually one or the other (i.e. in the rare cases where the first boss is among the toughest, the final boss often ends up being easier). Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your next upload!
I love the visuals for this game, it really is a blending of sekiro and dante's inferno(or bloodborne). The monster bosses look awesome. I heard middling reviews for this title, but it's nice you guys liked it!
Wo long is pretty great (outside of one freaking boss fight) though I think I still prefer Nioh 2 because the english dub in it was A LOT better so I found the story more engaging.
I would really recommend you to set the speech to Japanese/Chinese. The voice acting is terrible. If you like history this is part of pre china with the different dynasty’s with most of your followers and bosses are real warlords/generals. I think this story was 100 times better then Nioh’s that are fictional made up but I like stuff based on history.
Damn a masterpiece off the cuff? Definitely gotta check this one out whenever I'm able to. There's also Jedi Survivor on the horizon so Soulslikes are eating good early in the year
Update: Yuan Shao got the ice blast attacks do more damage so now this ranking is outdated. Also Yan and Wen is actually more like the Throne Watcher and Defender in Dark Souls 2.
I liked Wu Long much more then Nioh. Sekiro will always have a special place in my heart. Some of the bosses especially the Humanoid hard bosses are just so freaking good. Humanoid don’t include the monkey throwing poo at you. Things that makes Wu Long amazing is the verity of weapons and armor. You dictate how hard bosses you want to fight with the moral system. People saying this game is to easy it’s cause you are making it easy. After I’ve finished the game on both Normal and hard mode and I wanted to challenge myself and run straight to all bosses with very low or no moral. And ye I got my ass kicked a couple of times for sure. Even summoned other players couple of times but they just left when they got one shoted. The customization is amazing. The only cretic I have is I had liked to see more verity of normal and elite mobs. And I wish the game was simply bigger. When you finally get your build going the game is over.
It's ok as long as you have fun. Plus I find out that it's really important what weapon you have. Some special attacks are too long to execute to use it against bosses. My weapon of choice are two blades with "whirlwind" special attack. Very VERY fast weapon. With it I almost don't give first boss a chance to attack (anyway on Snake lady I still have to show my skill to parry)
I beated blindfolded boy on first try. I had a much rougher path with Lu Bu first encounter and also Dong Zhuo untill i tried reinforcements. Also, the last version of Aoye in part 7, the crouching dragon's trial is the hardest boss of the game. Im lvl 96 with 9 dragon pots at +9 and my weapons are all at max with +9, same with my defense gear and still i get almost one shotted sometimes. This one is a beast. Edit: Ok, Sun Jian in the same challenge is also very hard. Also since you cant call on reinforcements here.
Hopefully peresic bad form continues when you guys face liverpool. Need all the help possible to make top 4. Would be funny, though, if Brighton came from behind and nicked it from everyone.
i wouldn't be surprised if brighton were to, personally, de zerbi is a great manager and macallister is class. perisic is shocking and i'm glad emerson and porro have taken his spot finally, should've happened months ago
Lu Bu was kind of a let down tbh, i saw people hyping him up saying he's one of the hardest bosses but Lu Bu is more of a test of patience than anything, the only thing hard about it is doing damage to him which can be solved by using ominous chill or something, idk i just feel like people be over exaggerating how hard he is
Hua Xiong is so easy, and if you were annoyed by the ballista shooting you, then you could’ve gone and killed the ballista operators. You can even use one of the ballistas to shoot down his health to almost nothing
I don't think you should take into account npc help for bosses, as it makes them much easier and in some cases more than others. Solo seems the fairest way to rank
1st boss really tested my patience. And then halfway through his 2nd phase the blindfolded boy shouts "Now!" but I was so focussed on the boss I didn't see the button prompts and messed it up. I had to watch a video to figure what I should have done. So 1st boss has 1.5 phases in effect. NG+ he had 2, no shortcuts to victory ;) I really think they should have introduced the beast mode thing before the 1st boss. Other than that, fun fight.
Firat boss its braindead easy, spam light atacks first phase and pary red. Takes 10sec to die. Second phase keep fistance part red press z bye. People exagerate first boss so much. Lu bu is another story tough
Get ten dragon powder crystals from the mountain and u should be fine for each fight have someone from online join u and the boss will just focus u mostly while ur friend kills them. Bring the healing dragon for allies as well it restores health and revives if ur close it doesn’t work sometimes tho it’s dumb also puts healing pool. Every other dragon besides that one the revive one but u don’t get it till last boss and stone one in some situations the rest honestly suck and I only used one of them to take out that dragon sitting on the post.
It took me 2 hours for lu bu single player because I was being dumb I should’ve just stayed back and waited for him to do red attacks and also kept going for my Allies who can be a good help or just completely useless should’ve gotten an online recruit. But with coop helping my dad we beat him first try I was so mad. Bosses only focus player 1 in coop it seems occasionally attacking player 2 u can stay at most of their backs the whole time. Other than lu and aoye both u can beat easily by just sitting back and waiting for red attacks tho every boss was very easy. I didn’t do final boss yet tho but we’ll see
The first boss is hard because your still trying to understand and get a grip on mechanics. Even if you back and fight him in part 3 ish he isn’t that big of a deal. But at first he definitely is
i really appreciate your work , but this ranking is super wrong how is rank 2 hard ?? for me rank 2 zhang liao rank 1 the final boss " even when i kicked his a$$ naked "
damn are you 2 crazy? Masterpiece? wtf guys do you even play other videogames? Its a downgrade from Nioh and u say Wo long better than Nioh 1/2 ?? Wo long is besaically the exact same game but with chinese skins and WAY LESS gaming feautures & mechanics like maps and chapters, enemy variation, weapons, gear, spells, skill tree, good bosses... wtf did you even play Nioh? Think Nioh 2 has 70 main bosses. This Game has in your list 20. Not valid review.
Alex here, I own Nioh 1+2 but haven’t gotten around to trying them yet. I’m just neutral on them, I haven’t really seen much but I’m told they’re pretty similar to Wo Long. I personally wouldn’t call Wo Long a masterpiece, but I did think it was pretty fun. I don’t know the extent to which Jack has played either, so I dunno what his frame of reference is
Nioh 1 has 23 main bosses, Nioh 2 has around 30. You seriously adding sub bosses, repeatable bosses and dlc from the complete version just to bump up numbers?
Wo Long is better than Nioh, in my opinion. Wo Long is pretty far behind Nioh 2, but let's give it time. Maybe the DLC will introduce some things that the game needs. I'd give Nioh a 7/10, Wo Long and 8/10 and Nioh 2 a 9/10 Wouldn't call any of them masterpieces. I actually can't really think of a game that'd I'd describe as a "masterpiece". Bloodborne with the DLC, perhaps.
Nah blood borne is just pain, such an awesome game but so many stupid features, having to deal with the loading screen whenever ur tryna farm some vials is just dumb, amazing highs but fucking painful bullshit mixed in
