This is why he wasn’t invited to game 5 of the nba finals. Even Ray Allen was invited but they said keep perk far away. All he does is talk trash and doubt Boston
You gotta remember SAS is also from the original era of 24/7 sports news with ole Skippy. So… after Bronny went exactly where scouts predicted, and he didn’t create any big “Nepo Baby” stories for them to run from summer league. *ESPN/FS1 need to create their own “controversies”* until someone or some team has a bad start to the preseason.
@@dflowhoops They do SEEM to be his own opinions. I've watched him over the years and have seen him reverse his positions like a weathervane in a storm. He's a weeble. He wobbles but he doesn't fall down.
No he just doesn’t have a brain that functions past 7 days, how many times has he flipped , it’s day to day with perk….that’s why he’s no longer welcome in Boston
I'll say it again, these celtics are hated as much, if not more than those old spurs teams. They are boring, dont have aura and dont play hero ball. Things casuals enjoy. The aura these guys are developing is the "aura of winning." JT is the closest we can get to a modern day Timmy. Everyone forgets KPs injury and how the nuggets had a very easy path in terms of standing and injuries but people dont care because its Jokic.
@@dflowhoops oh good catch. Yeah i meant these are things casuals dont enjoy. I personally dont find them boring and dont care about the aura bullshit but thats sadly the narrative for boston outside of boston media and among internet trolls. Props btw for being a raps fan and bringing this to the forefront while remaining objective.
@@justhere6507 it may not be boring to you, but to most non-celtics fans and national media pundits, they have been classified as such. Math/mazzula ball isnt as exciting as an Ant edwards dunk or steph curry taunting opponents with the GTS after hitting a 3. These celtics rarely flex, dont really taunt or trash talk opponents and generally adhere to a family friendly atmosphere in the locker room given the amount of dads on the team who let lets kids in the locker room. There was even an old report that tatum instituted a no-swearing/profanitly rule in the locker room. These celtics are basically a team of steve rogers: good guy, family friendly, team 1st guys led by a religious head coach. They do have aura as i stated. Its the aura of winning much like the spurs teams of old. This team however doesnt have aura in the basic sense of the word. Theres not alot of fancy, trash talking, taunting, highlight reel players. This is why whether theres a "dawg" on the team is always questioned since smart and grant williams were traded out. Its a team in the mold of Brad Stevens. A team of basketball nerds tbh. Guys who value fundamentals, BBIQ and hardwork. And lets be honest. No one thinks nerds have "aura."
The funny thing is, nobody is going to remember the Nuggets championship but everyone is going to remember this Celtics chip because of how loud people fucking hate on this “aura less” Celtics team. The Celtics are literally all aura because of how much hate and criticism they get and you can’t tell me otherwise.
As a Celtics fan it really is annoying how people just trash them! I could see if our players kept talking crap and calling people out. They barely speak! It just the fact we go city to city destroying teams. They act like they don’t see it though when Tatum destroys their teams. They wait until he plays bad to talk about him. Smh
@@dflowhoops the worst part is the people in media talking crap then they say “idk what Tatum is talking about, nobody disrespect him!” 😭😭 like bro y’all just did it the day before! Nick Wright is the biggest Tatum hater! Dude says “he shot 1 for 7 from 3! Yet he didn’t mention Luka shooting the same exact 1 for. 7! 32 pts 11 rebounds and like 8 assists in game 3! “Oh he still played bad man!” Wtfff lol Luka had more TO than pts in 4th quarters!
The worst part to me is people meme-ing him for imitating people. Some of its all in good fun but when that supersedes people respecting him its unfair
@@dflowhoopsit’s cool like you said we are used to it and use it as fuel. I’ll never stop clowning mavs fans!! 😂😂 theyre they worst man. Never seen such a delusional fan base in my life and I deal with NY and Philly 😂
We all know the hate is ENVY and their best way to cope is hating on the Celtics. I believe this team is winning Back2Back and oh boy the haters will never hear the end of it!
Yeah I kinda got used to the hate. It’s pretty annoying to be honest but I mean everyone can keep crying. When the Celtics won I can’t even explain the joy I had and everyone in the world had to watch the thing they hate succeed
No cap the joy of proving the haters wrong after so long and so much shyt talk through the years was such a relief I can’t even explain like dang I cannot wait for the new season cuz this is gonna be the real legendary season I can feel it in my bones the last season was just the start of this dynasty and it’ll be forgotten and not as memorable as this one is about be
People don't realize sports talk is a giant, lucrative business. The pundants have to say something or there's no job. All they have is their opinion. If people want to gain insight into these things, they have to listen to Brad Stevens and the players. Straight from the horses mouth is all you can believe. I'm not sure how Perk has kept his position tbh. I like the guy, but wow he's had some bad takes.
The fact Tatum said that tells me everything I need to hear he’s finally taking COMPETITIVENESS SERIOUSLY it’s about to get real scary for any team that isn’t the Boston Celtics
@@dflowhoops I’m talking about him saying he’ll be mvp he’s finally about to step into a new level whilst playing team ball the next season is about to be insane
The "problem" with JT is he's playing with 4-5 super players, so individual stats will never be top in the league. Too many solid options on the court. Unlike, say, Luka, who (along with Kyrie, sometimes) is the only key option so his stats are inflated. (*offensive * stats only, of course.) The Celtics focus is on team winning, not on feeding a single superstar. Other teams wish they had this "problem."
Just because they win, nobody was hating on GS when they won many titles in the last decade. It’s hypocritical and their so mad because they wish JT AND JB played for them
C's beat everyone all year and then beat everyone in the playoffs. Saying they had an easy time is saying the other teams sucked. That's not Boston's fault.
Tatum is such a down to Earth guy who just happens to be on a team from Boston. Of course you hate on him just like they've hated on Brady and so forth. That guy's out there living his best life and has a post of himself booming Lebron. He's doing just fine and all the hate rolls off like water down a pane of glass. Love that guy, and Deuce is the best!
I agree, and I can’t say I’m surprised anymore. ESPN analyst are supposed to be the professionals by and they picked against the only team to win over 60 games. It’s really just to get a rise out of fans.
@@dflowhoops Dallas hadn’t had success against Boston for a couple seasons. Kyrie by himself didn’t have success against Boston in over 10 games. Can’t understand why the media was so high on the Mavericks.
@@dflowhoops yeah but their disrespect is bias since the Celtics were their finals opponent. What gets me are the critics, talking heads, and professionals who believed in the Mavs over the Celtics.
2024 Celtics are the best NBA team of all time. People are too dumb to not know this. Analytically, roster wise, top to bottom there’s no team that’s beating the last championship Celtics teams if we’re playing today’s rules in the modern NBA. If the Cs are healthy they have a chance to repeat
Sorry I hate to be the hater here, but they didn't prove anything when they won that chip, any other duo in the NBA will win the chip with the supporting cast that they have. You can even replace one of them with another all star and we might get the same result. The hate is coming from fans who puts Tatum at the top when clearly he isn't he looks good only because he's with a winning team.
And Perk is wondering why he wasn't invited to the Championship parade? I get it. He played a big part in the '08 championship and for that he should get respect, but where is the love? Expecting respect when you give none is just idiotic. Not a Celtic lifer, no Celtic Pride.
It's one thing to pick against them and to throw the occasional shade of hate, but Perk was definitely firmly against the celtics consistently, so despite being a former player you are correct
There is always something to say for a paid clown in any type of situation, because words are cheap and bend like rubber. And these are professionals mind you...they get paid millions for their cra... um...craft.
No one cares about Celtics because: -They are already the winningest franchise -They don’t have any particularly interesting backstory -Tatum and Brown also aren’t very marketable -Celtics were expected to win
@@dflowhoops They were easily the best team heading into the playoffs, then cake walked to the Finals. They were expected to win. Fans and media simply “wanted” and were rooting for Mavs.
One thing I've learned as an sports fan is to under no circumstances at all listen to the talking heads. We listen, but definitely shouldn't take their words at face value, because, you know, they're mostly idiots
It's a nitpick really because there's nothing much to report on the Celtics, they've been a winning organization and their players are model citizens. Now that Trader Danny is gone the last controversy Boston had was letting go of Isaiah Thomas and bringing Kyrie Irving on board. IMHO they were a poor fit before because Brown's role on the team fluctuated. Now that he has grown and looks to be the emotional leader of the team the duo can move on to do greater things. Tatum has likewise grown to be a more well-rounded player and all he has to do is maximize his effectiveness in that role, the individual accolades will come along with winning. I've finally stopped following ESPN coverage for some time now, their format has gotten annoying and almost every analyst they bring in has to act according to script. I used to love KP when he had no agenda to push but now he is just spouting hot takes to stay relevant.
Because that MFFL post is dumb. Sorry the C’s were better and only played 19 games compared to the 22 the Mavs played. This is the real comparison. Luka 28.9ppg Tatum 25ppg Luka 9.5rpg Tatum 9.7rpg Luka 8.1apg Tatum 6.3apg Luka 1.9spg Tatum 1.1spg Luka 3.1/9.6 .322 3ptpg m/att Tatum 2.1/7.3 .283 3ptpg m/att Luka 4.1topg Tatum 2.6topg Luka 40.9mpg Tatum40.4mpg Luka 5.3/7.0 .765 ftpg m/att Tatum 6.2/7.2 .861 ftpg m/att And finally Luka +97 Tatum +147 Not to mention WAY better defense no Luka is not far and away better. Let’s go Champ!
2008 team with Ray Allen Pierce and Garnett won it all and no one said break them up.......but they didn't win again.......let's just see how many Tatum and Brown win together.....I'm thinking many more.
They would. Easily. They have close to an 80% win record vs the west and had a 7-game lead over OKC. they beat everyone in the west except denver (who got weaker again this season). To say nothing of their margin of victory against the west (10+). If you dont think they'd make it out of the west into the play-in/playoffs, you are a clear hater. Only thing arguable here is would they make it back to the finals if they faced denver. So at minimum, they're making the WCF.
@@TheRobversion1 no hate, it’s a comment man no need to assume sensitivity lol. Playoffs are different than regular season hence the totality changes. Thanks for your audit however still correlates with me being unsure if they would make it out of the bracket with Denver or an early round vs Minnesota. Regardless even if making it to the finals the current west bracket is brutal and west teams are clearly at a disadvantage getting to the finals. Regardless x2 Boston can’t control that and took care of business and are champs.
@@jtizzleforlife definitely sound like a hate when you're saying they wont even make the play-in. No one objective is going to assume the celtics wont even make the play-in in the west. They'd be fine wth minnesota. And lets be honest. Unless theres a massive injury in minny, they are a top 4 team in the west. The Celtics wouldnt be facing them in the 1st round. They'd face someone like the kings or suns in the 1st rd which they've easily handled. For sure the middle of west is much better than the east. The west is stronger than the east.
@@TheRobversion1 pay attention to detail or you’re just looking to rebuttal everything. I said “make it out the west bracket” so making it to the finals from the west bracket….. They’re champions and they deserve respect they can’t control they’re in the east, however their route last year compared to any west team was easily favored to Boston. I just feel it’s very obsolete to continue having two conferences for playoff format. I get it traveling, scheduling, etc, however I believe combining a playoff bracket with the top 16 teams based off record would be very beneficial and regardless of the year every champion would be respected vs this biased finger pointing.
Calling Tatum selfish is like calling pewdiepie a small RU-vidr. It’s just foolish and factually incorrect. Especially considering how Tatum may be the most selfless player in the whole league.
Tatum is no doubt following in the footsteps of Duncan. Quiet dudes who put team first and let their play speak for themselves. Tatum play both sides of the ball, and plays as much as possible. All about winning. Ainge and Stevens struck gold and also committed robbery in getting the Jays. Rest of the league and the non-Boston media have been envious of our good fortune.
The defense and mantra is what makes the comparison good, and yes those who don’t heavily cover the Celtics and or are not fans have shown some distain
A lot of these guys are haters but I will say one thing and it’s that Stephen a smith is the Boston Celtics equivalent of the sports analyst world the fake hate he gets and backlash is crazy a lot of it is undeserved fr
All this jealousy will drive Jason, Jaylen and Celtics to just run wild through the NBA and have the best record becoming NBA Champions AGAIN in 2025, 2026 and 2027!
