My uncle , Walter LaFreniere , served several years in prison for refusing to testify against Jerry Angiulo , he wasn't just my uncle but my best friend , we spent many a night up partying and raising hell , he told me all the stories of what went on , he truly trusted me. You are spot on about FBI and media reports , my uncle had told me almost everything that was reported on him or said by the FBI was nothing more than a fairytale. He took me places where I met many inside people including some of the Angiulo's , Skinny Kazonis among others. He never glorified that lifestyle , in fact quite the opposite , in his later years he often commented that he wished he had never got involved and regretted how it affected his family.
Unfortunately those mishaps do occasionally take place😭. Was the said individual connected with organized crime???🤔. Chicago mobster deceased Frank Cullotta & associate. Committed a crime that 2 other's served 30 years for-!!!😳.
Thank you for realizing that there is always 2 sides to EVERY story and that the government has been weaponized against Italian Americans for 100 yrs. Im from the North end of Boston, by the age of 6 i had no boundaries when i went out to play because i lived in the safest neighborhood in America. Bulger was a rat who was a scurge on his neighborhood, the Anguilo family protected theirs.

My uncle did a sleep study on Carmen Dinunzio, at the Mass General Hospital, he invited him to his cheese shop when he had it on Endicott St, he didn’t end up going but he told md Carmen was a down to earth gentleman. Keep up the great work Jason

My grandmother's cousin was married to Nicky Angiulo and I got a few family stories related to them. She died by "choking on a chicken bone" in an Italian restaurant, which, of course, no one in the family ever actually believed, lol.

I saw Carmen Dinunzio standing outside his sub & imported cheese shop on Endicott St. in the North End 1 day. He owned a restaurant in East Boston also..I have been living in East Boston for the past 11 years. Carmen once weighed 400 pounds. He went on a diet & went down to 280.

Yeah I meant to respond to a comment you made when you said something about your Dad going to school to become a Greek Orthodox priest or something similar to that. I meant to say that my father is also 100%. Greek had an opportunity to go to Greece when I was 14 but my mother wouldn’t let me go. I would’ve gone with my friend Pete’s family they had a house in Greece. My mom is Irish Scottish and Norwegian always kinda resented her for not letting me go.

I appreciate how you’ve learned & grown since first starting out. Having the humility & respect for people directly involved or family members of the people you make content about is huge. You're incorrect about Whitey. He ran Southie, Dorchester, The South End, everything that happened in Kenmore Square and around Fenway, along with most of the bars and auto shop and gas stations down in Quincy. His criminal headquarters wasn't even in Southie, it was on Lancaster Street in the West End which is located next to the Boston Garden and 2 blocks away from city hall. He had more power than you implied in this video.

Very old. My grandmother and grandfather are all passed. My mother knows some stuff but not as much. That stuff was always around me my mother father but they spoke alone away from the family or they would do it on their own time. And FYI they still exist. My daughters mother got married well that man went to jail for hitting women, lets say I knew every step he made for over a month and everything he has every done. The Mob was a lot like the Hells Angels. Treat them with respect and stay out of their way and you will be fine. Back in the 60s I was a busboy at Suffolk Downs. Table 8 , best view of the finish line was always left open for Mr Angiulo and family. Only filled if Gennaro didn't show after the 4th race. Once a season Gennaro would personally tip the entire waitstaff and kitchen crew. The tips were more than impressive and would of choked any of the horses in the paddock. Actually got to work a party at the house on Lincoln Street in Medford. Call me an idiot but it was a thrill

That's kind of tough if you're going to do something that involves criminals because they probably all have families and yet you kind of have to mention their names to cover the story.
