Amazing and unique instruments at the Boutique Guitar Showcase at NAMM!
Small builders as well as international brands exhibit their guitars and basses.

Thanks RaxFx. Yeah, I thought before I'd blabber some nonsense, I'd better shut my trap. xD Honestly, haven't spoken to many people here anyway. I go from booth to booth, see if I spot something I like and film it. Sometimes, if possible, I see how the fretends are to get an idea of the attention to detail. Cheers, Martin

Sure, it's a walk through all the exhibited guitars of the Boutique Guitar Showcase at this years NAMM. That's the booth where several different boutique builders presented their guitars. While filming it, I decided to keep my trap shut and let the guitars speak for themselves. I also always film the manufacturer names and tags there, so you can see what you're looking at. Guitars can come in all shapes and sizes. Personal preference isn't something to bash on.

Actually, they had a discussion board there how new technology can lift the guitar to the next level ergonomically, and how things that might appear now strange to many players could become the new norm. I didn't stay through all of it though. I had to move on to not lose my buddies with whom I've been there. Cheers, Martin

Boutique aka overpriced

I wouldn't generalize it like that. I have a Custom JTM45, built by a builder in Germany, that would certainly also be considered boutique. However, that thing cost me half of what Marshall charged for a reissue back then, and it's way better. But most of the time, yes, you're right. Cheers, Martin

I don’t think it’s fair to expect boutique builders to be able to produce guitars at the same cost as large companies who have massive economies of scale.
