As a simpleton fellow viewers, I used to not understand how this will impact anything apart from just putting people out of jobs. Until I saw a video of a lawyer who explained that boycotting isn't necessarily cancelling. What it does is that you will temporarily stop purchasing to a point where it pressures the companies to change their policies. You should instead support locals, forcing them to grow and the employers working for these giants can then apply to these local companies.
Yeah, the purpose for the boycott is that, but i dont know who this people that harrassing people is , i am using my right as a customer to not buy the product but i try to buy local product more bc in my place local product is comparable with them now and i dont want my money go to israel

People think this really works. Unless the company goes bankrupt this means nothing. At the end of it, the stocks will recover and they will personally have made billions from the boycott. Who lost the money? The little middle clsss investors.

This is true. This is because the union made a free Palestine post on their twitter account. The tweet got deleted within the hour, but it didnt matter anymore. The union decided to bring politics into their bargaining chips and they cost the company a lot of money as a result. How can you expect yourself to get a pay raise , when you just cost the company you worked for and try to bargain with millions? That's foolish and doesn't help the unions cause for demand

That is precisely the Hand of God. Because of Palestine, young Americans who have been raised by consuming literal toxic waste that is fast food, are standing against it. Fast food uses corn-syrup and other corn based foods that have toxic chemicals like atrazine in them that causes cancers, demasculinazation in mammals, and associated with low fertility in men. Now whether they realize it or not, these youth are not eating these toxic foods for the sake of boycotting Israel, because Israel is murdering and genociding Palestinians. There is no way to explain this miracle other than it being the Hand of God both freeing Palestinians and American youth. By doing the Right thing and boycotting to support Palestine, you are rewarded a better life by stopping the consumption of toxic chemicals. And you did all of this without knowing it beforehand, just by purely doing a Righteous act, you are rewarded by doing that very same Righteous act. Doing the Right thing is also good for you. That is the Grace and Hand of God at play. Alhamdulillah (All praise belongs to God)

If you've ever owned a car and bought fuel, you've supported "Inhuman" activities. The activities of oil companies are downright inhumane around the world. Either polluting poor communities who happen to sit on large oil deposits which they never get any of the proceeds from, or taking advantage of everyday people in the form of out of control profiteering. If you've ever bought a burger or a pack of chicken, you've supported an industry which essentially breeds life into existence just for the purpose of killing it. If you've brought a pair of clothes, you've supported the exploitation of sweat shot workers in deprived countries around the world . Don't make me laugh. Every single of us makes purchasing decisions every single day which ultimately benefit morally destitute organisations / governments and there's no getting around that. It doesn't me we can't support causes like this, but let's not pretend our money doesn't go to those committing "Inhuman" actions every single day.
Thats market share value and its like 9%. This has happened before. They're still making $35 billion+ a year in profits. The McDonald's "boycott?" Their share prices actually went up this month. There is actually no evidence that the boycott is whats causing the prices to go down, it could be a small factor but its not the only thing. Im not saying dont boycott things if you want to but in reality not enough people will actually do it for an extended period of time to have it keep making any sort of difference.
@calvaryaklsound1795 share value is still important for their business, which they lost because of the boycotting. Even though they made a statement about it, ceased support for !srael, and donated $100 million to Palestine, boycotters don’t care. They are only doing that because they are sad about their money loss. Not the people they killed.
@calvaryaklsound1795 how does it feel to be a genocide supporter? I dont use products from companies that financially support israel. But what about you? Boycotting isn't hurting the minimum wage workers. The CEO's and Management are hurting minimum wage workers. They have more than enough money even with the boycott to not only keep them at their current salary but also pay them higher wages than they do now. The boycott of Starbucks is actually helping the Starbucks Union to have even more power with their Strike. Between the Starbucks Strike and the Boycott, they have already lost 13 billions dollars last I checked. By now it's probably more than that. So the boycott is actually accomplishing three things : 1) Stop Financial Support to Genocide and Genocide Collaborators 2) Empower Workers in these Collaborator Companies in their home countries 3) Help Small Businesses get the spotlight and much needed revenue that larger companies like McDonalds was taking away from them for years I remember an English man in a documentary I saw a few years ago said he had a restaurant business but wouldn't be able to pass it down to his son because of McDonalds and other foreign companies. Now maybe the family business has a shot after all. Assuming it's not too late. And this doesn't even go into the tremendous health benefits it brings to boycott some of these companies.
i stopped buying any of these brands since day first, im proud that me and my friends and all true humans around the world know how to control the market and not let it control us.
Ceo of Disney Bob Iger, sent humanitarian aid to Israel after October 7th but not Gaza I believe. He did a match campaign. Keep in mind, disney products would not just be the parks and stores at the malls, but Lego collabs with sets likely pay royalties and Disney+. Also Lego opened it's first store in Tel Aviv in 2022. As much as I loved getting into Lego as an adult, I may be skipping it entirely this year. I haven't checked the updated BDS list. Starbucks is a grey area for me. I still go there 3-4 days a week. The employees are supporting Palestine, climate change & lgbtq+ rights, and many are trying to unionize. It's corporate Starbucks and the Ceo that is as corrupt as Amazon and harmful to union busting and worker abuse, to silencing voices on Palestine. Also not easy to boycott American colleges, but they are a big problem with support for Israel and silencing protestors. Between Aipac pressuring employees, like at Harvard, and the state department sending the FBI to colleges to intimidate pro Palestine student groups into cancelling events. Democracy now had good coverage on it. Look at the canary list especially.
