At this point, Anthony Starr's Homelander has surpassed his comic counterpart. He was perfect. Perrrfect! Everything down to the last minute details. 😊

Sage had two reasons for Firecracker to get clocked

If you saw The Boys: Diabolical, one of the canon episodes to the prime adaptation showcases a cancer-ridden old woman nearly on her deathbed, leading to her husband trying to save her using Compound V. The effects cause her cancer to mutate into an eldritch-like creature hellbent on absorbing any living being in sight. So the idea of a mutated cancer parasite in Butcher akin to Eddie Brock/Venom wouldn't be far-fetched.

Anthony Starr deserves an Emmy award nomination for this.

Not gonna lie. Hughie hyperextending his ankle makes me flinch harder than the other scene.

That scene with Sage and The Deep at the end was too funny 😅 The actress (I'm sorry I don't know her name) absolutely KILLED it, I mean you can literally see her gaze go stupid after the lobotomy..! 🤣 And The Deep immediately being on board as he gets an offer he can't refuse 😆

Theory: Jeffery Dean Morgan's character is another part of Butcher's mind. The devil on his shoulder that contrasts Becca and has powers (the parasite worm). Thats what happened to Ezekiel. Butcher admitted that he actually took some V in hopes that it would cure him. I believe that when he did that, he started seeing these apparitions. He doesn't know obviously.

Just give Anthony Starr his Emmy already!!!

Of all the gruesome moments this show has provided, that lobotomy scene was the hardest to watch

The mother probably was behind Hughie for a while and saw him put the V in his pocket. I think that after Butcher took the real V, it gave powers to the tumour that the temp V gave him, so now the tumour is fighting to keep Butcher alive, because if he dies, they both die. Homelander did say he jad a black mass koving around his brain. Also, the tumour could be communicating with Butcher through the visions of his dead wife. So its almost like Venom from Spiderman

Starlight tactically won the fight, but strategically lost the support of the people after fighting Firecracker. Starlight played right in Firecracker's hands and got burned along with that bill.

Episode 1 this season kinda put me off, I think because the time jump and relationship dynamic changes caught me off guard. But after this latest episode, I really like where they’re going with the show!

I was curious when Homelander took out the phones at the Vought facility and then nobody pulls out their cell phones to call for backup? But later of course Homelander says to call Barbara to come into the office for a reunion and they do that so clearly they have ways to call out (cause everyone has cell phones). As bad as Homelander is I could feel for why he turned out the way he is from this episode. Makes you wonder what Vought thought they were going to accomplish treating their subject that way. Also interesting how many characters ask for forgiveness in this episode and only Hughie actually gives it (although others say they forgive their enemies in words) in actions.

Ok, they were saving for the 4th episode. Definitely the best so far

They should have released this episode along with the first 3. This has soooo much to hook people.

Ngl after seeing this scene, I can honestly say wholeheartly that Homelander actually earned one of the top 10 spots of greatest villians in the history of television. I told the community that even by The Boys standards, this season will be the darkest one yet and this episode exceeded the expectations by an landslide. Mans had to literally channel his inner crazy Joker to get one of the most twisted, psychotic laughs I ever heard in television. Definitely on par with Ledger's, Phoenix's and Monaghan's own style. Best episode of the Boys yet. The only time I felt chills and such utter tension with this type of crazy in Tv was when Joker told Batman the real plan of Harvey Dent back in TDK and when Walter did an hit and run on two childkillers then shot one of them in the head with no hesitation. Honestly, The Emmys are really moving the goalpost if they don't give Antony Starr the acknowledgement he deserves for playing Homelander. I for one, from Day 1 hated Homelander and I still stand on that along with the rest of the supes and I hope in the end, Butcher goes full Eren Yeager on them but even with that and with all the shit he's done, I still couldn't help but empathize with him regarding how Vought treated him. Vought is the real enemy of The Boys including the man who stood his ground to an psychopath with powers and lived, Stan Edgar. No wonder he become the man we all know him as becuase they made an monster. Even when he said that not one of the scientists stood up to Vought and said that this is wrong, I think in a sense, even with what they did, he was self-consicous with that though of wanting love and compassion and instead of showing that side of what being human means to a kid no less, instead Vought exploited that weakness to control him to be obedient and him realizing that makes me more of a threat. In other words, let the ultimate crashout event begin..... After this ep, Homelander is forever GOATED as one of the best villains of all time. And I hope I see more of Antony in other works of media as well cuz he is a master of acting.

I have this unfounded theory... We know "Supes can't make babies" and Homelander is the singular exception... except Annie DID get pregnant at a time when she was with Hughie. Not only that but Hughie was probably on Temp V given that 6 months ago Annie was 6 weeks pregnent. I personally don't think the fetus was actually aborted, and seeing as Homelander's fetus was implanted in some surrogate to come to term (a significant reveal from Voight?), who's to say the fetus Annie was carrying... You get my drift. Purely a hunch on my part.

At least Homelander left her locked in the room with something to eat when she gets hungry....

For anyone that dosent understand whats happening with butcher, watch the boys diabolical. I think its episode 6 or 7, it showed excellent what would happen with butcher years later. No one is taking about it...

Another great episode but... When Annie was an ass to Butcher and then over something like that beat up Firecracker on TV I lost sympathy for her. She has been doing dumb shit but wth? AND not telling them so it might sabotage them. What happened to her? Also Sage is racist I guess. Not something "the smartest person in the world" would be. Butcher was holding a crowbar when he left the trailer for some reason, seems like a blooper.
