Webweaver's safe word being the thing he loves most and that being Zendaya made me laugh so damn hard. One of the best meta jokes they've made all season
Even tho the twist was obvious I felt the way they handled it was well done and I like that butcher didn’t want genocide and it’s confirm that joe is the manifestation of the parasite that killed Ezekiel, I felt so bad for hughie.
In the comics he also had iron man type powers with a suit of armor, they got rid of pretty much all of the iron man similarities other than his openness surrounding his secret identity
Wakey wakey eggs, and Bakey is originally a British term. Since the hallucinations are a part of butcher it makes sense that Kessler would say this too.
I wonder if Sage mentioning her past with cures might come in handy later. Neuman and Stan could really utilize her knowledge and skills there. Just sayin'
@@aria4830 The whole point of that dialogue was Sage saying she could easily solve so many problems. But because she's a black woman, nobody high up wants it or cares. Which is exactly what would happen here in the real world
@@rosenrot234They laughed at sage because she was a child saying she cured cancer, to any sane person that would seem like a joke, especially in the real world. Speaking of the “real world”, what year are you living in? The current Vice President isn’t exactly white, and you know she would be cackling the loudest if a kid said they had the cure for cancer.
I think that Sage's ability to cure cancer served two purposes in this episode. First, it made it clear about her history. But I think it was also making it clear that she could do any number of things with the virus if she wants to. She could likely make a version that was stable and killed homelander, or one that could kill humans, or any number of other things. that said, I'm still not entirely sure what side she's on.
The rivalry between Sage and Firecracker will reap benefits. Annie MIGHT get her powers back after her apology. I think her own headspace was interfering. Especially of note as she hasn’t tried to use them since the apology, allowing Kimiko to save Huey instead of the light blast she’d probably have launched previously. Just a guess. But it wouldn’t shock me if her powers come back now, while a lot of people wonder what changed. Accepting her own faults is part of Annie’s arc. She doesn’t have to contrast herself to everyone else by being perfect. That’s impossible. Giving a shit is what she does best. In her place, I’m not sure I’d have left Firecracker breathing.
But will she actually finally do something useful with her powers other then make the room bright? They try so hard to make her seem strong but I’d rather have Frenchie or MM in the fight then her
I’ll play on the world’s finest Superman and Batman. These two are seen as the two of the top heroes in the world. In the world. Clark Kent sees Bruce Wayne as his even without powers he treats Batman like they’re on the same footing and even thinks of him as his best friend at times. Here Homelander looks as tek knight as beneath him because he lacks “real powers” can’t fly and it seen as a joke.
Finding out that Joe Kessler was a hallucination was a huge twist. But it was known since we saw them in the first minutes with Butcher. And that makes him let the character of Jeffrey be perhaps inaccessible, but useful in the butcher. And your impulse of courage.
I knew for sure Joe was someone dead from his past when I was watching the previous episode he was knelt down talking to Sameer and his back was turned to Joe you can see there is no one there.
I'm always looking for connections to Supernatural while watching The Boys. In this episode, Jeffrey Dean Morgan says "Daddy's home!" and Crowley says the exact same line in the Road Trip episode (Season 9 episode 10)
Sage truly is! She plays it so well and frightens me at times. I have no clue if she's going to make it out of this season alive however knowing that while they were filming season 4 Eric Kripke already knew that season 5 was going to be the last season, I feel that this season finale is going to end on a massive cliff hanger
That line has so many layers. Butcher's dad who was a piece of shit Joe being the dominant personality (dad) And JDM being the dad in Supernatural (also directed by Kripke)
Yeah the twist was so obvious I think it would have been better if Joe was actually real. That would have gobsmacked me. But I commend them for the way that they officially revealed it to Butcher though
Nah, the fact that Hughie's mom wasn't a hallucination and Kessler was was pretty obvious almost from the start. You pay attention, so you would've noticed. Some people didn't, but a lot of people just leave TV shows in the background without actually watching them.
You know I was actually having trouble figuring out if butcher's military buddy was real or a hallucination. I could get the vibe of someone who didn't exist from him, but other times there were signs of him having a real past. The ending explained it. He wasn't just a halucination, it was the worm in his head. I was getting mixed signals because he was bassically a man without a past pretending to be someone who did have one.
Homelander never put any actual thought into his coup would work. Sage was supposed to think of everything. This is all gonna come crashing down on him and shit is gonna hit the fan.
@@spideyspits1667 I don't think that every supe would be like that I mean people like kimiko starlight supersonic queen Maeve while flawed in some ways more than others they are proof that there can be supes that are actually good and not all of them are like these psychopaths who does awful shit just for the hell of it but this guy is literally a Bruce Wayne rip off with the exact same backstory but with a different twist realistically that's exactly what people like him would be like
Tbf, the parts where Ashley was the one that did the tickling and tounging of Hughie’s feet weren’t so bad At least it was someone pretty and attractive doing it
I have fun with someone with a fart fetish before. He told me to drjnk some milk and it would help. I couldn't do it on command so what he did is to literally blew air into me so I can fart. It was weird but, he was hot so I didn't mind too muchm 😅
