I work in IOT industry so I can answer the question about the cameras. Trouble is, the more cameras you add, the more data you need to store, and then you must decide for how many days you want to keep that data, at what quality, where, etc. it's simple to say that, yes let's plop a camera on every corner of the street and hopefully we capture every crime. However, then there is an also room for privacy problems like mass surveillance (like it is in China). Additionally, problem is most crimes happen over time and you can't keep all the data for that long (month or so). We had the technology for a long time, but you need to also consider the laws surrounding it.

I'm surprised with how much cabling goes into properties today with every install I do. Dual bank DBs are everyday items now for us. Would be good to see how you get on with the lutron kit. That place is going to be mega. Doing a great job there with how your splitting it up, the best way
