I'm a genderfluid non-binary person born AMAB and I'm struggling to accept my male side as it is a constant reminder of what people think of me or want me to be (similar to Jordan's father). I wish I had Jordan's ability to physically switch between a male form an a female form and on some days, something in between.
Jordan is a gender fluid (they say bi or trans though, but he literally switches so gf fits better), he can be a dude or dudette on a whim. If she switch gender he seems to nullify damage. It's awesome to see them fight powerful sups and not be damaged at all.
One form absorbs energy the other form spits it out. One is for defense one is for offense. Absolutely fascinating! She may the key to beating Homelander. Bc if she can tank a fire blast and not get hurt then she may be able to tank HLs lasers There's just a matter how much Jordan can absorb before he has to spit the energy back out.
Homelander doesn't have to rely on his lasers though, and he's probably a lot faster than Jordan. Besides, it seems like they're setting up Starlight to be the most powerful supe on the good side. Although, if enough supes can keep him occupied, maybe Marie and/or Victoria Newman can pop his head.
well technically he isnt trans, he was born as a dude and compound v gave him the power to switch, so he is a dude that can switch based on what power he needs.

A transgender identifies themselves differently from the gender given them at birth. That's not Jordan, as they continue to express their male-self. Jordan is a bigender, they're fluid between the two genders they express. It makes sense we see more of his feminine persona at Uni because while at home he's basically only allowed to be the male.

That would ruin it imo. I dislike “on the nose” alphabet soup pandering and the way they did Jordan Li in this show is actually good enough for me to not hate it. I actually think it’s kind of neat and adds to the character. Seems to me that he/she is both so it doesn’t matter. It’s a super power so it’s not at all like real life and it doesn’t have to match people’s standards with the pronoun game for that reason.
Question about jordan . They are not just changing gender....its matter displacement as their size as the male is not the same as the female. Heres an uncomfortable question . During intercourse its implied jordan could possibly rip away your molecules while a male is inside him 😂. I cringes when jordan was having intercourse with the the other guy. Just one involuntary change and that dude is gonna have a really bad day
Being bigender is a part of the trans umbrella ( and can be a part of the non-binary umbrella as the genders can be binary ("man" or "woman") or non-binary.
The Gender switching stuff is cool esp. the powers when the switch is really impressive and cool asf but the movie focuses more on the gender switch aspect much more than the powers. But dont need to force feed us with the common narrative of misgendering and LGBTQ is just too much these days....write your plot and let everyone enjoy the story. Plots like of Game of Thrones worked well because the focus on the storyline was everything anyother thing was an addition.
true, I get that representation matters, but I wish they could focus more on how much power Jordan actually holds instead of focusing on their genders al the time. yes I think its amazing with the concept of Jordan's character and how they can switch, but I do wish they focused more on their ability of being one of the most powerful characters instead of relating to their genders all the time.
I hope you understand that whole concept of The boys is a mockery for political correctness and today social standards for both normal human and superheroes. It's a comedy show.
