This episode proves a rule that I have in that you should give a show at least 4 episodes before deciding to stop watching it since a show needs time to introduce all of the major characters, get the story going, & allow enough time to raise the stakes for action & drama to emerge, which this episode's payoff proved true.

If a show can't hook viewers on the first episode, then it just isn't the show for them. Shows that run an hour plus long should be able to do that Shows that are 30min run time I would say maybe give 2 episodes. The first episode where A train ran through the girl and they covered it up most likely hooked 99% of the people if the trailer didn't do it.

People give Homelander a lot of shit and call him lazy for not even attempting to lift the plane, but he made a good point. There's no realistic way for him to carry the plane to safety without destroying it like he said. The amount of precision he'd need to match the plane's speed in order to safely carry it is just not something he's capable of, and he doesn't have the telekinetic plane-lifting powers that Superman does. They're also in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, so it's not like he can just carry people back and forth in time to save everyone. At that point, they'd just be choosing who lives and who dies, and if only a few passengers made it out alive, there would no doubt be lots of questions and skepticism thrown their way, and one of the survivors might even call them out. Leaving them all to die was probably the least troublesome outcome for them and the company. Although granted, he is the reason the plane's controls were fried in the first place.

He's lazy for relying on his heat vision for everything. Yeah after he fries the consoles there's nothing he could do. But if he were more willing to put in the work while using his powers, the consoles would've never gotten fried in the first place. He's so strong and so fast...and yet he'd rather stand there and laser everyone because it's easier for him. He's lazy. But not stupid by any means.

Im convinced some people are just not emotionally mature enough to understand how to have...emotions and how to manage them. Yes its a show but its not normal if a show is trying to make you feel sadness or dread and your response is just to laugh. This is also why I enjoy mashups, you are see who's emotionally developed and who isn't, it's interesting.

His take on carrying the plane is realistic; that's simply how physics works. I never understood how Superman could gain positive control over a plane rapidly accelerating through space without splitting the damn thing in half. However, he could've glided the plane as it lost altitude and reduced the fatalities. Or maybe not FRY THE DAMN FLIGHT CONTROLS.🙄🙄 Why the fuck did he carry the laser instead of just destroying his brain? For fuck sake🤦

Superman also had the unrealistic ability of lifting an object without it imploding on its own mass. Unlike homelander. This is one of those examples where homelander actually did no wrong.

Superman is unrealistic as fuck in so many ways... Everything Homelander said is accurate and looks like you forget he is a villain so doing evil deeds is what we expect him to do. Do you know how many people Darth Vader litterally GENOCIDED ? And still he is one of the most loved fictional character ever. Superman has telekinetic power which help him lift plane if he doesn't have that he would phased through plane and plane would further more damage meaning they die either way homelander can sure lift it but he doesn't have telekinetic powers
