Dam this episode is F diabolical, I thought Ryan will think badly of his father, instead of giving him a chance and letting him be manipulated again, and seeing Butcher become a human being a bit, end up seeing him become a monster again. Every character in this episode clearly trying to fight their inner demons but end up ironically, kind a sad and that's kind a how life work in real life

The biggest surprise for me was when homelander actually realised that he was doing the same thing to ryan.

Honestly, the moment Stan came on screen, I really didn’t care about anyone else. that’s not anything to do with bad writing or the characters, it’s literally just Esposito’s portrayal of the character. It’s interesting to know that both Hughie and his father share similar powers both of them having to do with spatial manipulation Hughie could teleport while on Temp V while his father can phase through things. this could mean that whatever V does to your cells that makes you into a superhero has some sort of hereditary factor.

I think Kessler is real. When Butcher was hallucinating Becca earlier in the season after falling out of the shower, his hand went through her leg when he went to use it as leverage to get up, showing us that he can’t touch her so she’s a hallucination. He does a successful handshake and a hug with Kessler, showing us that he’s real.

Tek and Sage working together is a terrifying sentiment. What did stan mean? Can he control ambient light in the opposite way? IE.... darkness? :o

I feel that Huey’s dad could’ve potentially been the best weapon the boys had in taking down Homelander. I mean the power to become intangible and solidify at will is a pretty impressive counter to Homelanders durability Like he could phase his hand through homelanders head or heart and solidify instantly killing him. But I understand why they killed off Huey’s dad bc 1 Huey’s dad didn’t want to suffer/kept alive if he was already on his deathbed and this episode showed the consequences of Huey not wanting to let go. 2. Even tho Huey’s dad has the power to kill Homelander he wouldn’t be in his right mind to use it, see how he was experiencing Alzheimers and couldn’t fully control the ability and it seemed to activate based on heightened emotions 3. Huey’s dad has the hax but lacks in everything else to even stand a chance against Homelander, like he doesn’t even have increased durability from the V since Huey was able to pierce his skin with a needle, Homelander would just laser him in half or blitz before he could even use his ability 4. Even if none of the previous mentioned was a factor having Huey’s dad be the reason for Homelanders defeat wouldn’t make sense and would honestly lessen the impact/meaningfulness of HL’s defeat 5. Killing off a background character with little screentime & relevance with one of the only few abilities that could kill Homelander makes perfect sense, we will more than likely never see this power again

Its funny how Frenchie, told MF about his past needing to be accepted yet, he's not able to even function when he needs to face his past. Im thinking MF is going to have to be the one to bring Frenchie back. That or Frenchie dies... UIHH sooo muchhhh

Whole episode was literally about nothing. Hughie dad supposed to die in 4, but they gave him v so they can kill him in episode 5.......writing skills 100. Same story with virus: "oh, they created virus about we made whole show, oh well there is no more virus becouse we have flying assassins sheep, but of course they cant kill any of main characters". Homalander is the only character that is carrying this show right now, rest are fucking boring.

I have theory...what if Ashley is Homelander's contingency plan instead of like in the comics it being Black Noir? It would be sort of be sweet revenge for all the pent up anger she has displayed by ripping up her hair and dominating Cameron Coleman while working under Homelander/Vought. It would be a great surprise and she's someone I could see people root for.
