Butcher saw that bunny had both regular V and temp-V before he let it go, I think he knows those tentacles that came out of the bunny are what’s currently writhing around this skull
@@Jeff-iq2doI think that was Dan Stevens from "Legion". It sure looked like him. I checked the credits, he wasn't named, but an uncredited cameo is certainly possible.
A-Train’s arc appears finished. He’s shown Hughie his contrition and is discovering the nobility deep within himself. All there seems left to be is his heroic demise.
This episode really got me thinking like since Cate is in the Seven now, would Homelander use her to control Sage or just make Sage spill out the truth on if she is loyal to Homelander's plan or not, just a thought.
she don''t really have what to say , cuz whatever she learns agains homelander , she is doing this brain thing , and erase her recent short memmory, she is doing it on purpose so even if they ask her ,she will say no and not gonna lie
Frenchie has been charismatic & guilt free for 3 seasons now all of a sudden his only emotion is guilt about murders he commited years ago. Terrible writing 🤷♂️
@@cynicalmemester1694 nah. It’s just they had to give him something to do this season so they decided to change his Charcter up for the worse. Make him a whiny little bitch.
I have theory...what if Ashley is Homelander's contingency plan instead of like in the comics it being Black Noir? It would be sort of be sweet revenge for all the pent up anger she has displayed by ripping up her hair and dominating Cameron Coleman while working under Homelander/Vought. It would be a great surprise and she's someone I could see people root for.
New theory: Joe Kessler died as Butcher's friend. Becca died as his wife. The parasite or tumor inside Butcher communicates with him by the vision of those two. The parasite is helping Butcher without Butcher knowing it .
It would make sense. Both never interact with anyone other than Butcher. Becca its obvious and shown to us but Joe could be real, we dont truly know yet. I think they are both just in his head. W theory
I like the idea...but, then, how did Butcher learn about the virus, or get the drug intended to subdue Ryan? I thought Kessler did both (but I may be wrong)
So fuckinh true, always great when they bring legendary actors in for small scenes of a episode, honestly hit a lil home which means it was a great scene lol
My theory is that:Joe Kessler represents butcher’s dark side and butcher is eventually gonna keep listening to Joe Kessler and butcher becomes the villain
Calling It now, that ending scene of Butcher and Joe smiling deviously at the end of EP 5 will eventually become a popular meme for generations to come.
Personally I don't think A-Train will die this season in anything I feel he will defect or at least leave the Seven's side fully, the reason for this is I feel his arc is now focus on him becoming a real hero and maybe finally making amends with his family. While yes his rivalry with Hughie may be done with Hughie forgiving him their are still people he still needs to make amends with mainly Starlight and his brother.
That’s exactly why people think he’s going to die. Because his arc is over. He’s going to die a hero and his family will see that’s what he chose to be and will be sad that he’s gone.
Either sister sage turns good or A Train takes her out during her brain outages, the only other option is her pissing off Deep and him telling firecracker that Sage has a blind spot during certain times.
@@dre4534yep, she seems like she could easily catch and set up The Boys but she knows they're the good guys. From her first scene it just made sense that she knew she'd have more control and safety by the devils side
i go back and forth on loving and hating Ashley. loved her when she told off A-Train in season 3, hate her when she interacts with Ashley 2, loved her when she shit in Honelander’s toilet, hated her this episode… she’s honestly a very complex character and Colby Minifie is really good in the role
@@Wh3than you mean by framing coleman? yeah, it may have been mostly for petty reasons on her end but it was a pretty ballsy move against a guy who kinda deserves it
Everything was diabolical, A-Train really feels a lot of regret and now he will pressure him by making him a good hero. The effect of the theme on Jeffrey's character when they are alone. Because if it were part of the hallucinations derived from his past and butcher traumas. Like Becca and Lenny, which makes him see the parasite inside him! And Homelander and Ryan are now preparing for their ultimate promotion, but it only leads Homelander into chaos. And Edgar's return blew me away.😁
I finally figured out why S4 feels off (I don't think it's boring or bad, just off). It's not funny anymore. The previous seasons were full of whacky fun things, while still not taking away the seriousness of the show. The only thing that got a serious laugh from me all season was Frenchie's sheep comment this episode.
I think Sage relates to A-Train, as a black person, simply exploited for social justice points. Some type of solidarity perhaps. I have no doubt that she's got plans for him, though. Just like she has plans for everyone, including Homelander. She's similar to Homelander, where she feels superior to everyone else, so she's using everyone around her as a tool to gain whatever it is she wants. I enjoyed Homies relationship with Ryan in this episode. I prefer evil Ryan over conflicted Ryan, or "good" Ryan. I hope Kessler is real and not another lame hallucination. If he's not real, how do we explain all the intel he's providing to Butcher?
I wonder if Sister Sage sees how dangerous Homelander is, and is trying to stop him instead of help him. Or she could be trying to keep herself alive. Btw, i know they were trying to show Ryan slowly become evil, but the guy didnt die, and he kinda deseved those smacks. 😅
She likes that people finally listen to her. It doesn't matter how smart you are if nobody follows your words. Working with Homelander gives her true power she's never had before
@@ryanperry3811 I really enjoy her character this season. Why do you think she spared A-Train? I'm thinking it's because hes much more valuable alive. She could use a speedster to plant evidence and/or find evidence
Starlight looks horrible after that facial work done on her. When she was looking at her old photos, and then it cut to her now…there’s such a difference.
@@di11onm1nkgaming There’s nothing wrong with having an opinion on how someone looks, but there is a problem with using that opinion to needlessly insult people’s appearances like a 5-year-old. You’re allowed to think whatever you want about anyone, just be fucking decent and respect people’s right to their own bodies. Seriously, why is it necessary to blare like an alarm whenever someone doesn’t look good to you? Like genuinely, what is the point in stating that?
The only things that sorta confused me were when Butcher and Kessler kidnapped Shah for the virus, I swear Nadia stated the researcher in Gen V was the only one who could recreate the virus before she offed him right? That and how Hughie had a known way to take down his suped up dad. I feel like I missed something
It's a little confusing, but it's my understanding that she took the virus so she could have Sha do his own work on it in private, not under the supervision of Vought. That's why he only had a few doses to work with and was down to his last dose when the boys arrived. He was trying to replicate the disease and failed. I haven't really heard anyone saying this, but by doing what they did they leaked the virus into the ecosystem. Maybe the virus will die off once it kills all the sheep, but there's a possibility that it runs dormant in non supes and could be released.
Here's what I think might happen in The Boys, moving forward. It appears that Ryan is slowly getting more comfortable with Homelander, right? So, what if Homelander manipulates his son again to kill? Ryan refuses, revealing to the viewers that he still carries his innocence. The two argue, and Ryan flies off to see Butcher. As we all know, Butcher is trying to get a hold of the virus from Dr. Shah. As Ryan meets with Butcher, Butcher hallucinates about Kessler telling him to go forward with the plan. He injects Ryan with the virus! Ryan dies, causing Homelander to finally snap.
But of all the people why would Butcher be the one to kill Ryan . He made a promise too his wife to ensure Ryan has a good life . Killing Ryan wouldn't be good for his overall arc.
My problem with Butcher in that scene with the rabbit is the fact the rabbit didn’t seem to be disturbed when it was in its cage, I wonder if they had something going into its system that controls the parasite from taking over.
This season has been great. Quick question, though... MM is MUCH different--far from the muscular build we saw in previous seasons. It is distracting how much muscle mass Laz Alonso has lost. Is he okay? (Yes, Erin has had work done, I know. But that's a choice.)
They hurried Homelanders son to the "bad side" too quick. He said like a few lines ago "I wanna help people. My mom would want that." 5 mins later smack the crap outta him and I enjoy it? Idk kind of quick
Is Ashley also a supe now ?? A-Train said she did not only leave a floater but also did something different and what other thing than taking V from Homelanders room could that be ??
He doesn't. Not in the way I think you mean. Supes aren't immortal. The C-listers are usually kinda easy to kill. All have mortal vulnerabilities - except for the one they really hate. Homelander (and a couple others, see below). Hughie learned how to put together a euthanasia drug from Frenchie. Presumably this works on most everyone, except for Homelander, Soldier Boy, Ryan - the really OP ones. The significance of the virus is that it *only* affects Supes, that it could be strong enough to whack Homelander, and that it can be used *en masse* It's a weapon of Supe Mass Destruction. And Homelander might not be immune. Hughie didn't know how to do any of that.
The only thing scarier than an unhinged homelander is a thoroughly hinged one. And that very well may be what Ryan could turn into. A sadistic and manipulative monster who knew love his whole life.
Really loving the idea of Joe and Becca being manifestations of butchers personality, Joe is the devil on his shoulder and his ruthless aggression while Becca is his last bit of humanity and the angel on his shoulder.
I don't think A-Train has gotten away with what he did. He's in a room with 3 people who are lie detectors, Sister Sage, Tek Knight and Homelander. Tek might've not been attention to Coleman but the others would've know he was telling the truth. It's also interesting that between the director and Coleman they have taken out the two biggest PR people.
I also can't believe no one has mentioned how much of a parody this episode was to the game of thrones episode where all these different characters come together for a mission....the GoT season 7 episode "beyond the wall"
I agree. This season has been mediocre. I rewatched season 3 a couple of days ago, and while I still think that 2 was the best to date, 3 was still excellent and so much better than what we've gotten so far in 4. I don't think the online critique about it "going woke" is correct, that's just nonsense (the show is ideologically consistent), rather it's the writing, the plotting, the worldbuilding (or lack thereof), the pacing - all have been mediocre in this season.
You guys are tripping I love this, it's was so beautiful the hughie and his dad moment, A train redemption. Firecracker and starlight beef. Homelander was exceptional ep 4 literally his peak. I like kimiko arc, it doesn't take too much screen to be annoying. Frenchie... could be better, he already had this redemption arc in season 1 with Mallory grandkids. It's like a loop. He was doing way better at the end of season 3. Butcher is a bit of a disappointment, he use to be more ruthless. Ryan is also a disappointment, not his character arc, just I hoped he would see that his father is a monster. I wish colin would just disappear. Sister sage is the best character introduced. 1. Solder boy 2. Sister sage 3. Stormfront This season is not a 10, it's an 7.5 unless they bring it on the final Season 1 9/10 Season 2 8/10 Season 3 9.5/10 Season 4 7.5/10( FOR NOW, MIGHT BE HIGHER)
You definitely been smoking too much meth Crack head cause this season has been good so far the first 4 were good the latest episode was alright otherwise its 🔥 so far
They have completely wrecked Billy Butcher characterization during this season. He is close to dying, having hallucinations, being very dumb at times and now doing everything in his way to go against his team's objectives. I am very saddened that they are going to follow the comic book route of his character despite the fact that his main vendetta is against Homelander and the Seven and not every Supe that exists. All the drama that he has now with Starlight, in my opinion is very forced as well.
There's no way Hughie's father is dead, right? They gave Hughie an entire solo arc away from the Boys this season to take care of his father and it end with Hughie killing him, right after he spend four episodes arguing with his mom to NOT kill him? If this really is the end of Hughie's dad I didn't like the writing, Hughie went from "don't kill dad" to "dad is fine again" to "we have to kill dad" within a few scenes...
Sam and Kate are too not safe from homelander. At end of gen v they had every right tell him about virus to kill supes but didn't. homelander sed in s3 doesn't like ppl who don't tell truth or lies to him as black noir was example 😂😂
With Butcher acting more like a villian again, and Ryan having free reign to "do whatever he wants" I sense a very big conflict between Becca's boys. I wouldn't put it past the show runners to have a shoulder devil vs. angel scene where hallucination Joe tries to convince Butcher to do something horrible in front of Ryan and hallucination Becca tries to stop him
Some of the writing is abit iffy and the plot lines seem to stretch and be recycled. Most of the characters seem to be flanderised aside from homelander who is single handedly carrying rn.. Honestly a forgettable and bad season apart from episode 4 with homelander in the basement, he's such a great villain.
I love how they are killing more and more (mostly unlikable) minor characters. Todd, Anika, Ezekiel, Hughie’s dad, Cameron Coleman, etc. Some leaks reveal that even more of them are going to bite it this season, which really makes you feel like you’re nearing the end game.
@@randomdude10011 Definitely, Hughie’s dad also didn’t deserve to die the way that he did, poor guy wasn’t perfect but it was horrifying seeing his descent into madness.
what if the virus kills the parasite in butcher since that has compound V inside of it most likely although butcher may also have V in him so he would die alongside it
