This season just doesn't feel the same as the beginning. The group is falling apart, and it feels like they're relying too much on the shock factor of the show than the storytelling.

It's frustrating to see them so disjointed, I particularly liked the first ep where it was everyone vs Butcher but the group being unstable is nothing new for the show to be honest, it's just being showcased in a different way. First season was for a lack of companionship and trust, the second was mainly because of Billy's flaws, the third because of ideological differences, now this season it's everyone's personal trauma. For me at least, the trajectory into this "descent" is believable considering most of their actions of the past few seasons have related to bottling up emotions in some way. I don't know where I stand of the shock value part though, I'd have to rewatch the earlier seasons though because most of my memory is of this show doing craazy, shocking things.
