LOL@Jan's pants totally match the couch! As it happens, when they reupholstered the couch, they had material left over, and voila they made Jan a pair of pants!
Florence Henderson’s reactions and facial expressions during Jennifer’s visit were so good. She really had a clever knack for comedy. Also this is one of those scenes that makes the parody movies feel inaccurate i.e. portraying everything as cartoonishly innocent and saccharine, because there really was a lot of sarcasm and tongue in cheek humor on the show and the characters could be humorously savvy sometimes.
That’s why it’s a parody and not a sincere adaptation. The whole point was to exaggerate one aspect of the show to cartoonish proportions for the sake of comedy. But yea, I see what you’re saying. The movies also act like the sibling rivalry between Jan and Marcia was a huge part of the show, when really it was only the focus of a few episodes, and for the most part they got along well with each other and looked out for one another.
Both Reed and Henderson were very good when given the right material, especially after show got past their uptight characterizations from the first season. They could both be humorously snarky. Henderson got hammy during the last season (and that continued into the reunions).
@@ravenel2 That's great! I miss those days when you brought your good stuff for company as if having company were an event! We had a harvest gold percolator and coffee canister.
I wasn't even alive when this show came on, but I still like either afternoon tea or coffee. Many cultures around the world still enjoy tea in the afternoon.
I love how Mike and Carol see right through Jennifer in an instant ... the experience of the grown ups ;) And I love when Carol looks at Mike ''Greggy""?? I was almost expecting her next comment would have been ''Uggh... make me GAG''
Jennifer went on to be a multi-millionaire without working a day in her life. She married 2 guys over the years , divorced them and took half their shit.
I loved the look on Greg's face when he found out this his "girlfriend" Jennifer was also running for head cheerleader as well as his sister. And like Mike said, talk about a snow job when Jennifer came over to the house. Both he and Carol could see right through her like a silk screen. But that's experienced parents for ya! I loved this episode and the girl who played Jennifer was gorgeous.
I love that “Pilgrim” dress Jennifer is wearing. It looks like a dress Cher from Clueless would wear, but with a 90’s twist. There was something very innocently sexy about that style during the early 70’s. It’s not revealing by any means, but it’s a great silhouette.
Since Marcia was in the contest, Greg probably should have recused himself. Instead (spoiler alert) he did the right thing and picked the most talented (neither Marcia nor Jennifer). Here's a test of character; Marcia understood his decision but Jennifer wouldn't give him the time of day, proving she was just using him.
I support his decision to be fair and impartial, but Greg was acting like kind of an asshole thinking that Marcia was trying to influence his decision when she just wanted an opinion...
My mom still has basically that same coffee pot-except they made one that was like a vat three times that size, for company, that only gets used for Thanksgiving, so she still has it. Avocado color and the coffee percolates into the clear glass knob at the top...
I love how she says she's already seen the movie and Greggy doesn't realize she most likely saw it with another guy in the past couple days. Very low-key for the Brady Bunch.
This is so freaking weird. I was just thinking about this episode a couple days ago. I didn’t search it, watch any Brady Bunch related things or even talk about it and now RU-vid recommended this.
I haven't seen this episode in a while. Now that I've just saw this clip again I've noticed that Jennifer is a female version of Eddie Haskell from Leave It To Beaver!
I love The Brady Bunch Marsha Jan Cindy Greg Peter Bobby Alice Mr. and Mrs. Brady I’ve been a fan of that show for years I love it I am a Brady to Best Buy last name to
Growing up in CA in the '70s, that was a pretty common t-shirt pattern. Ocean Pacific and a lot of other surfing tees had tons of Hawaiian floral patterns.
I do believe that wallpaper was one of the samples in the episode where Marcia has two dates for Saturday night. Because Carol lifts it up at one point to show Alice.
One two tell me who are you THE BEARS! Three four tell me who's gonna score THE BEARS! Five six tell me who's got the kicks THE BEARS! Seven eight tell me who's really great THE BEARS! Nine ten tell me who's gonna win THE BEARS! Say it again THE BEARS! Who's gonna win THE BEARS! YAY!!!!!! :)

@@dawnguseman1095 they used corlock a lot back then. In The Middle abc 2009 - 2015 they showcased the' 70s style how the house was painted and the ugly carpet
I noticed that! Have been watching a few of these, she wears the same pants in another episode. They must have had a limited wardrobe budget, or, just wanting to keep the show "real" and have them wear the same clothes, like most people do.
Haven’t we all had a crush on Greg before. Bc I sure know I have. Also I watched this when I was younger. I’m 15 but still love it. Sad they took it off tv
Mrs. Brady - “ Jennifer make sure you have this guy fall for you really hard. That way he won’t keep wanting to date me after we finish shooting every day”
In another episode, when Marcia goes on a date with Greg's enemy, Greg tries to get back at Marcia by deliberately asking out the girl who beat Marcia for head cheerleader- but it was not the same girl as in this episode.
