This technique has been profoundly helpful for many of my clients, particularly those interested in healing early childhood trauma. I strongly recommend it.
I wish there were more in the south. I’m trying to get to see a therapist that specializes in it soon. What do you feel the success rate for severe childhood abuse?
john scott I have a therapist who I’m trying to get in and work with for my childhood sexual abuse and have struggled with for many years. Just recently I found out about this therapy.
Travis Costanza talk therapy doesn’t really get at the root of the problem, my mindset is solid but the unthinking brain deep in the brain still remembers so it has reactions but you won’t know why. This fixes the reactions
I was suprised first time when we used with my therapist...after the session maybe 2 hours later I felt grief, rage, and anxiety but sleep well.Next morning singing in the bathroom first time in my life and gave hope...Thanks Mr Grand! Alex from Hungary
Mmm but I can 'enter' my trauma in every eye position (or even with closed eyes) Do I miss the point? Or is this just a technique for people that find it difficult to 'enter' their trauma or don't know how to find it?
Four years after starting this type of therapy, my anxiety and PTSD are worse. It retraumatized me, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Not EMDR either, as that was even worse.
Joe, Brainspotting helps decrease the emotional charge of the memory. Inside your brain and body would reorganize your thoughts and feelings about what happened. This brings healing and relief of symptoms.
