The most requested guitar to review to date, the Charvel Satchel Signature Pro-Mod Dinky
The instrument has an alder Dinky™ body with sharper-radius top edges and an all-new flamboyant Slime Green Bengal or Yellow Bengal finish. Of special note are the two Fishman® Fluence Classic humbucking pickups, which share a single volume control knob with special push/pull dual voice activation. Using this control, the PRF-CHB-NB1 neck pickup delivers ideal-but-elusive vintage PAF humbucking neck pickup tone with just the right dynamics and output (voice one), or a Fluence-exclusive neck tone with clear and airy chime, unreal high end, highly vocal midrange and tight lows (voice two). Similarly, the PRF-CHB-BB1 bridge pickup delivers ideal vintage PAF humbucking tone calibrated for perfect output (voice one), or quintessential hot-rodded humbucking bridge tone without all the baggage (voice two). You get the idea-it sounds %$#@& huge.
The bolt-on maple neck has a Fender® Stratocaster® headstock with Charvel-branded die-cast tuners, graphite reinforcement, heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel and Charvel neck plate. Atop that is a 12”-16” compound-radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and offset dot inlays. Other features include a three-way toggle pickup switch, top-loaded Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo bridge system, and more.

@@jerryjones698 I bought my first Charvel in mid 1981. I now own six custom shop Charvels and a couple of early Japanese model ones. Great guitars. And yes, very versatile. It's all in the volume knob and the fingers.

@@garythomas4431 i was hoping this video would have demonstrated usage of the volume knob since it has such a huge influence on the sounds possible. I think it needed to be rolled back a bit to get optimium expressiveness.

I love the mental ride that a great player provides, mountains, valleys, twists & turns. Another great review. I ended up w a matte black EVH because of all the great reviews out there. I bought the purple one! I’m an 80s guy and this guitar is what I always wanted but never owned. I love it!! And I got the purple bengal and we all know that purple tigers are native to Minneapolis. Almost extinct if I’m not mistaken. I love this guitar.

I have the yellow and black; looks outrageous but plays ridiculously smooth. Perfect action and Floyd trem plays like a dream. Pickups scream. Now I need matching spandex. 🤘

The Charvel Satchel is an amazing guitar! I got the Yellow & Black one back when it first came out. It is built perfectly, I couldn’t find a single cosmetic or structural flaw at all. They are doing a great job with these. When I got the guitar, it was the first time using Fishman Fluence pickups. I used to be a JB guy, but now these pickups are my favorite hands down! Very versatile. Best sounding guitar I have for 80s Metal. Great playing as always, you do this guitar the justice it well deserves

Awesome, I've been eyeing these too, as they look really fun (and I love Satchel LOL). Honestly though I would have a hard time choosing between this and the latest Ibanez Prestige (RG5120), which has similar Fishman Fluence pickups. The Ibanez is $500 more, but it has stainless steel frets, and the reliably awesome quality from the FujiGen factory. The Charvel however wins the coolness factor.

This week I pulled the trigger on a shredder, but not a Charvel. But even though I love the one I bought, I will be having to buy a Charvel soon! By the way, Cameron you have the most hugest vibrato bend combination out there! Kick ass, you do! I would like to see you in a band melting faces. But while your band mates dress like motley crue, from ‘84, you remain dressed like a nice young man. Melting faces. Love it man!

Cameron always blows my mind!!!! When he plays!!!! Wish he would make some music with some band and release new music!!!! Even if it's a song or two!!!! EP at least!!!! 😄😄😄😄 I know making a full album release is counter productive to the "New Business Model" in today's music business!!!! But I still think it would be cool!!!! Excellent as always. This particular guitar's body looks a little bigger than regular Charvel Dinky(DK22/24) models and the horns look somewhat like the San Dimas models. But the site says Dinky body. Can someone please confirm about the body size and horn designs? Thanks

It's a regular Dinky body which is 7/8 the size of a san dimas or strat. The bold paint job is probably making it look larger than it actually is.
