ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER MADE IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANITY 💯HANDS DOWN TIMELESS AND NEVER EVER GETS OLD 💯 I CAN LISTEN TO THIS FEEL GOOD SONG DAY AND NIGHT❤❤ NIGHT AND DAY❤️JUST ABSOLUTELY PERFECT SONG 🎶 I LOVE ❤️ IT❤️
I always have to hear this when I think of a guy that I loved so much, regretting I let him get away the late summer of 1991. Well, we were both foolish and young, and now, we both have regrets. I'll always love him : )
The beautiful nostalgia of this beautiful moment in time has me crying right now. Only this era of music can make you feel so good inside ♥️♥️♥️♥️ I still love this song and her voice is so perfect clear and heavenly
Yes Lauren hope you're still listening to the good stuff! I used to go to London from Milton Keynes of all places to the pubs and little clubs dancing to great acid jazz artists like BNH. Soul to Soul ..Incognito and not long ago rediscoved one of my fav tracks Hanging on a string by loose ends God those were the days great places great music old girlfriends yes memories we miss so much like the friends we lost contact with makes you sad thinking about!
Her voice is absolutely incredible. Caught them at the 'Capital Jazz Fest' at the Merriweather Post pavilion (DMV area) many years ago, and they absolutely shut the concert down. Best performance on the bill that day, which included many heavy hitters. But, the BNH blew them all away! This groove with the off timing rhythm of the drummer, that wah, wah guitar, steady keys, and funky smooth bass line are nothing but magical. This groove will NEVER get old.
Well spoken, this dropped when I was a pre teen n I just turned 41 n I'm still rocking. Glad they dropped when they did if they did today people would just forget cause they're timeless and classic. They just wouldn't understand the sound. Dream on is one of my favourites as well.
When I first heard this song and discovered that it came out back in 1991 I was really surprised this record sounds well after 91 ... this group was really ahead of its time with this sound .. great song 👍🏾
on a late 80's/early 90's binge. Forgot about this joint. Been listening to Shantay Savage, Ce Ce Peniston, Soul II Soul, Lisa Stansfield, Maxi Priest, George Michael, Crystal Waters, and such. Love this joint.
I've been there too on that new Jack swing era binge. That era was the most fun era in music to me. R&b got a kick start when it started to bring in that hip hop vibe. Which was also the Golden era of hip hop music. Such a positive and fun era.
My favorite BNH song: I so miss the days of acid jazz. We seemed in those days like a collective consciousness of positivity. Didn't matter your race, sexual orientation or your aesthetic style. We all grooved together. As a jazz performer I never get tired of my urban hipster days of Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Jamiroquai, James Taylor Quartet, Swing Out Sister, D-Influence . see you on the dancefloor.
I remember the early 90s was a time for a lot of retro soul and r&b. Soul II Soul and the Brand New Heavies was leading the pack from the UK. This is still one of my all time favorites.
I haven't heard this in years . Early 1990s were setting the tone of a new decade and we all entertained. Kids today have no idea of the 100% Quality and Quantity of music we had in all genres
There are still good things taking place today. Let's not fall into the trap of thinking that yesterday's music was always better. There are a lot of good things going on today and it is a lot more accessible . I remember this track and this period in time and it did not seem particularly rich to me, but it was. Similarly, there are a lot of good things happening today.
Sharmel Mitchell Damn, you are So Right, takes me back to my middle school days, now I'm about to be 40,I can't believe it,I still Love this Song!!!!! Real Music never Dies!!!!!
I'll Never Stop loving this song!🥰 Makes me imagine having no worries, and no cares just riding freely along the California coast, palm trees🌴 and fresh ocean breeze 🌊⛵ just feeling great living in the moment ☺️
Me too, this song got me also threw the 8th grade when it came out ,, I remember growing up driving from Long Beach to the San Pedro cliffs overlooking the Pacific to Redondo beach from pch before I even remember going to school. My parents always took us on that drive an when I grew up I also did the same with my daughter but I was blasting this song, it reminds her of those times as well ☺️
This song came out when I was in twelfth grade. I remember there was this dude in my class named Angel that adored this tune. And every time we saw each other we were like (Singing) "Never stop, never giving up". What a good philosophy of life. Who knew Angel was speaking life to me through a song? Thanks, Angel, wherever you are. I'm still striving. I hope you are too.
One of the best female vocalists. Ever. Strong. Clear. Clever. Smart. Beautiful tone. Lyrical. Anytime. Always. After such a long time. Top marks. Complete class. Clever. For Ever. True? Respect. Enough.
Dear Virginia., I would wholeheartedly agree with that assertion. The Female vocalist is fabulous, and also fabulously expressive in her moves,on the Video! It really, really does take one,,with the help of all her other band members, to a very uplifted place! And that was done so early,in the day:-1990 I believe! James
