The only thing you didn't show us when he handed the tip money to the guys in the red shirt. That helped put the shackles on the quayside. Very slick move. At 5 minutes and 35 seconds. This gives us all a glimpse into how a superyacht is operated and educates us on some of the marine operation terminologies at the same time. Feadship super yatchs are just so elegant.

Monkeys fists are pretty standard for tree workers, as well. They have some seriously cool functionally specific knots, as well, like one that you release your grip on and you free fall, speed wise. Just a moderate squeeze and you can really brake, as well. I've seen guys just step off a tree 60' up, and it takes them single digit seconds before they are standing on the ground. Did I mention that some of them are nuts?

I always enjoy your narration, but this was kinda neat with the captioning

Awesome video! Really, really appreciate all of the detail. Super cool to see the step-by-step process. Two questions: is the bow held off by the yacht's anchor or is attached to a permanent mooring that is managed by the harbor? They connect hose for fresh water, but what about shore power? I would assume they would not all be on generator the entire time they're in harbor, correct? Thanks again for all of the awesome content!!!!!!

Is it just crew preference to use shackles over using the bollards or is there a benefit to doing so?

One of the most important characteristics of mega yachts is their designers e.g. Conceptual designers, Naval architects and interior designers. The shipyard executes the project, but the designers are the gurus. It would be good to include this information, especially on iconic projects/yachts. What keeps the front end in place, more lines or anchor or nothing?

Hello eSysman, love your videos. How do the boats anchor the front end when docking? Is there always a diver to assist, or do they always need to anchor the front end? And do they need to drop the anchor(s) as they back in so that it tightens with the libe heading outwards for some tension? Thank you!!!

What does the stern of the yacht touch on the dock? Or how does it keep from getting damaged against the dock?
